Charged with:

-Fleeing
-Careless driving

Trooper's Report:
On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, I, Trooper Van Schoyck (A22), was patrolling the area of US Highway 67 North near the 9-
log mile. I was advised that Sherwood Police Department was in pursuit on US Highway 67 North from Sherwood. Sherwood
Police Department did ask for assistance in the pursuit. I stopped in the gore of the 11-log mile exit ramp (Vandenburg Exit)
and waited for them to pass.
The pursuit exited at the 11-log mile exit where I was stopped. As the vehicle exited US Highway 67, I took primary of the
pursuit. The vehicle slowed down and attempted to travel Southbound on the East service road when I attempted a Tactical
Vehicle Intervention (TVI) on the passenger side of the suspect vehicle. The first attempt did not stop the vehicle as he
continued to travel Southbound. I then conducted a second TVI on the driver side, rotating the vehicle around where it came to
stop.
Sherwood Police Department blocked the front of the suspect vehicle with their patrol units as I blocked the rear of the suspect
vehicle with my patrol unit to prevent him from fleeing again. Sherwood Police Department called the suspect out of the vehicle
where he surrendered. Mr. Turner was then placed in handcuffs by Sherwood Police Department, who took custody of him.
