Hey guys, it is Carissa from Fat Fender Garage and welcome to day two of the F100 Super National Show
in Sevierville, Tennessee. This is the first time that we've ever been to this show in September.
We're used to going to the Grand National Show in May, but we love that show so much so we decided
to come back this year to the Sevierville Show, which is in the fall. It is a three-day show,
so it's Thursday, Friday, Saturday. It is Friday morning. They're about to do the opening ceremonies
and a couple reveals inside, but before that we're going to walk through and kind of see the outside
before it gets too hot out here. All right, let's walk around. Looks like all these trucks that are
out here, most of them are registered to, what is the word, compete, but they're in the running for
the award ceremony that is going to be on Saturday. So if you are going to be judged, it sounds like
hoods up, windows down, so people can see in and outside of your vehicle so they can be judged.
The judges, we saw them walking around yesterday and they had some stickers, so I don't know exactly
what the method to their madness is, but they do look very serious. I did see them putting some
stickers on the headlights, so this is a Ford-only show, so we've got lots of Fords, of course.
There's some F1s. We've got a lot of bump sides, dent sides. I might even say that there's more
bumps, I would say, and it looks like there's a little bit less spot fenders than we're kind of
used to in like the 50s, but we're just getting started, so not really exactly sure. Yesterday was
a little bit slower. It was Thursday. We were in our booth mostly and it was a good day. We met lots
of people. You guys are so nice here in Tennessee. Everybody here just has only said nice things
about each other, about other shops, other their neighbors, their friends, family, so it's kind of
cool out here. Okay, let's find ourselves a coyote. All right, that was super easy. There's one right
there. Was that recorded? Okay. Okay, so we've got a 5.0 Coyote in here. Looks like we've got a fat fender ECU box.
We like that, and it looks like we've got, you might not know this, this is one of, if not the most
popular product we've ever made, which is our 1967 to 79 Willwood Master Cylinder Brake Booster Kit.
Like I said, one of our most popular products. We try to bring a couple kits of these to each show.
They're a little bit heavy, so we only bring like two or three, so if you ever are at a show,
you know we're going to be there, come to us on like the first or second day, because we usually
sell a lot of those. I like how a lot of these are drivers proudly. Okay, they really love our brake
booster kit. Okay, looks like we got another 5.0. Well, I see your 5.0 in this truck, and we're from
Fat Fender Garage, so we love coyote spots, so we were just wondering if we could ask you about your
truck. How we feel about it? Well, when did you get it? Let's start there. Probably six years ago.
It's a 1970. Is there a reason why you got a 1970? No, not really, just I've got several of them,
and it was just one I wanted to fix. Do you like the 67 to 72 range? Yes. Do you have multiple of
that range, or do you have other? I have multiple of this range. Of course, I have 65 and 66 also.
It's a Gen 3 with a 10-speed transmission behind it. It's a 2018 Mustang. Okay, and where are you
guys from? What brings you out to this show? We live in Cleveland, North Carolina. We know a bunch
of guys that come out here. Smith Motorsports, he's the one who installed the engine. I just talked to
somebody from there. Very cool. Have you guys been coming to this show for a long time? About four or
five years now. This is our first year. We usually go to the Grand National one in May. Yeah, we do
that one too. Yeah. Don't get too much of that dirt on them wheels. I'll try not to. That's how you know
you're driving it. Hiya. Sorry to interrupt you. I think your parents just sent me over. I heard
you have a Coyote in your truck as well. Tell us what year this is. When did you get it? Your parents
are obviously into trucks too, so you guys have some family affiliation it looks like. Yes, ma'am.
This is a 1968 Ranger. It has a Gen 1 Coyote with a 6R80 transmission. It has a Fat Man fabrication
front end. It has Q81 four-link rear suspension, Borla exhaust. I think it's been together for
three years. Something like that. Fun to drive. Is there some reason why this year range is popular
in your family? I think your dad said that he has multiple. My dad had one before and he gave it to
my older brother. My brother was at the house one day with it. He just looked at me and he said,
man, I like that. You and I said, I sure do. He said, well, let's do one. I said, all right, let's do it.
And the next thing you know, he keeps buying trucks and I guess he's got about 12 of them now.
Yeah, he said he had a few. Yeah, I've got two sons and they'll end up with something. There
you go. You got to keep it alive. I just had a son and I'm gonna keep it alive too in our family.
Thank you. Oh, congrats. That's what life's about. Exactly. That's what it's all about.
All right, well, thanks for letting us chat with you.
Is this your truck? We've had it 20 years. Okay, so long in the family. Yeah, it's a 1967 Ford F100.
Already swapped them by Chris Smith. Nice guy. Everyone has really nice things to say about him
too. So that's good. That's always good. It's my wife's truck. I started it years ago. I've
been coming here since 2000. I've got five or six trucks at home that were good. Well,
we've got three of them done. So we have, you know, like three more to go. Yeah. Well,
this is the truck that I went to high school in, that I started out driving. Our truck,
we got married in a wedding in one of these. We still have it. My son has it. And we've just
always had these trucks, you know, since we've been young. Oh, is there anything on here from
Fat Fender? I don't know if Jack, if you can get in there, but this truck, like a lot of the other
with the 50 have a Fat Fender garage motor mount kit on there. And this one would be for a 67,
72 two wheel drive kit, which is on the website. We have all different kinds of configurations,
OBS kits, 67 to 72, 73 to 79. We have a high boy kit. It'll come with your motor mounts. It'll
come with a transmission cross member and the hardware that you need to put that onto your
stock frame. And then you'll need engine trans obviously. And then there's a transmission mount
that is from Ford, but we also sell that as well on our website. So you can get everything that
we can take care of you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Yeah, it's beautiful. Well,
we've got the wife now, this is your truck. So my name is Nancy Southern from Bloomington,
Indiana. And this is your truck. Well, it is beautiful. You got a coyote in here. So
obviously it's just been for 20 years. So are you planning on keeping this in the family?
Have it as old as I can have it and pass it down.
Are your kids, do they like this kind of, do they like the show stuff coming to all the shows?
That's why I like these shows. It's all about the community.
Because everyone here at this show specifically is like, we are tight knit,
which is very true. Everyone knows each other. It's really nice, but you guys have been all
very welcoming. So thank you. We got another one, another one. Ooh, look at this one's a
little bit lower and another one. I love your videos. Oh, thank you so much. That's really
nice. All righty. It looks like this is, yes, this is Chris Smith with Smith Motorworks. This
is who everyone has been so nice and talking about. And us too, a super nice guy has always
been super friendly and kind with us when they've purchased motor mount kits for their coyote swaps
in their shop. I talked to Chris yesterday. I said, we're going to find him. So we've got five
coyotes in a row, six, six, five of those in a row. This is lots of fat fender we've got over here.
We've got motor mounts. We've got brake booster kit. We've got radiators. We've got KRC power
steering kit. What else do we have in here? Actually, you know what? I'm not even going
to speculate. We're going to find them. Got another five. Wait, that was, that was a quick install.
Okay. It looks kind of good. It's kind of good. I love Tennessee license plates that they have this.
The shape, like that's pretty unbeatable. It's like so iconic. I know. This is interesting.
A little radio. I really like this color. That's kind of cool. It's like a cloudy.
There's a 3M wrap that's like really close to this color. That's pretty cool. Arcadian blue.
Morning. Hi, good. How are you? We're with Fat Fender Garage. We're just kind of walking around
and talking to people about their trucks. It's a 71 F100. Had it for close to a year.
So tell us about what you've done to it. What kind of suspension are we doing? What kind of
wheels we got? It's basically stock suspension, US General wheels. I painted it. I put the wheels
on it. Kind of transform it from when I first got it. Looked like an Uncle Jesse truck when I first
got it. It's still a work in progress. Grew up diehard Ford guy. Still am today. That's what
we keep hearing. This is pretty much the place where you're finding all of all of our Ford
people. You got it. Awesome show. This is a cool panel. This is pretty cool. This interior is made
out of like, almost like burlap. I've never seen that. Three Hindi. What is three Hindi?
Can you tell me your name? Arvin Hart. And where are you from? Rutledge, Tennessee. And what do you
got here? 79 F100. Okay, cool. And is there a reason why you have a 79? My first truck was a
78. So I decided I wanted a dent side. This is what I found. A lot of nostalgia we're finding.
72 sitting over there. My dad bought new when I was 14 years old. That's cool. Picture a bit
with the truck damper on it when it was new. Oh, really? Wow. This is a very... That's nostalgia.
Yeah, there it is. I was gonna say like... I've been around that truck since I was 14 years old.
This exact truck? That truck. Oh, I thought you meant just like that type. No, that truck. Oh my
gosh. Yeah, that is as nostalgic as you can get. Yep. We've got a lot of family. Got a lot of
close-knit community over here in Tennessee. We're from Arizona, so... I'm from Ohio region.
Oh, are you? This is home. Yeah, there you go. It feels like home for me too. I've come here
once a year for the past five years to the Grand Nats. But if you don't mind,
can you show us what's under the hood? It's still dirty. Oh. I haven't gotten that far yet.
Oh, it doesn't look bad. Well, tell us what you got going. It's a 302, mild cam with a four barrel.
Nothing, nothing major. Can you tell us what those blue crosses are? I've never seen something
like that. Oh, okay. Cool. I thought they accented the blue murder well. Oh, cool. I've never seen
this before. No power steering, no power brakes. Yeah, so you're getting a workout? I'm strong.
What did you do with your interior? Was it already okay when you got it? I put a new seat in it,
new dash pad, new rubber mat in it. I repainted the dash. Nice. Is that the one you was talking
about? Yeah. This is dead. Wow. That like almost brings tears to my eyes. Speaking of all these
trucks is making me a little bit nostalgic. I actually learned how to drive in a 1997 Power
Stroke. It had a camper cab on the back. It was huge. My friends used to call it the motorboat.
At the time I was just like, God, this is so hard to drive and it's huge and hard to park. But now
that I'm older, I'm like, oh, I wish I had that, especially being here surrounded by all these
boards. We have a raffle. They're raffling off this engine. This is the engine that they're
actually giving away. It's actually kind of cool. They have like a little button there that starts
it. So a couple of times a day they've been starting it to let everyone hear it.
It's built up quite a bit of pipe. It's kind of cool that they have this like whole contraption
to like run it. Well, it's just not attached to anything. I'm going to buy us some tickets for Fat
from the Garage. It looks like we're the only ones from Arizona, unless we're just the only ones that
filled out the map. All righty. We made it inside and here is our booth that we've got here. So we
have our four by four frame that you guys have seen. We have a YouTube video on it. You can
go down to the link below and watch that. It has a full explanation front to back about our four
by four chassis that are a new option at Fat from the Garage. You can choose between a four link or
a leaf suspension. This one specifically is for a 67 to 72. Fox shocks on there. We've got some
big tires on there. Lifted, built by Porterbilt. Fabrication, of course, it's got a curry rear end.
So we just got stopped by another person. Actually, we've been stopped by multiple people
who have asked us about this cab because you might have seen it before. If you've been to
a previous show, this cab is for a 71. It is actually for our truck. We're calling it the
swag truck. So this is our cab, this green one. You've probably seen it if you've been following
us for a while. It has like the back camper bed with like the green glass and it has like
cabinets and stuff. It's a pretty cool truck. We've had it for a while, but we use it a lot
for a lot of the R&D. So for example, we just dropped our steering column kit for 67 to 72s.
We use this cab to test it up. Go to your undercover carriage. You can get that on the
website. It comes just raw like this. You can paint it however you want to. You can mount it
however you want to. There is some screws here. It's not going to line up with the holes because
it would misalign it. So you can drill holes into it if you want to. Put rib nuts if you want to.
You could superglue it if you want to. If you get our steering column, which would be a 30-inch
Flaming River column on our website in the bundle, you're going to get the bracket that's going to be
welded onto there. So it'll fit right into your truck. It's going to be perfect. It's going to
not be too close up onto you. It takes it about two inches a little bit further. We also have a
floor mount kit in here. You can kind of see it through the carpet a little bit. It's going to be
a nice billet piece of aluminum. On the other side there's another billet piece. So it basically
just sandwiches your firewall and keeps your steering column in place. It's at like the perfect
angle. It's going to be perfect for you. So of course the first thing you notice when you look in here is
the gorgeous upholstery. So you've seen that we've dropped our new interior kits. We're really excited
about it. So that was actually why we put this frame on this chassis. We were about to bring this
4x4 chassis just alone and then we thought at the last second like oh let's put the cab on there
because it'll fit and we can show people interior kits. And we're so glad that we did. That was such
a good call because I think one of the most asked about things is interior. I didn't even realize how
I guess everybody needs an interior. So but yes we're really excited. This is going to be a seven
piece kit I believe. However you want to count that up. You don't have to get everything but you could
if you wanted to and it can match beautiful. A lot of people I've been telling like didn't even notice
that above here your headline and your sun visors are actually matching as well. If you wanted to do
an interior kit you could do headliner, sun visors, seat, dash pad. We've got here we've got kick panels
on the side. There's an uh we 3D printed uh speaker cover essentially that goes over there. The whole
thing is a really easy install. Oh and the door panels of course behind me. Pricing kind of varies
because it's just depending on what you want to do vinyl. Do you want to do leather? What kind of
threads you want to do? Do you want to do a different stitch? There's all sorts of different
things that we can take care of you for. So you can give us a call. Of course you can order through
the website. If you purchase through our website we're going to give you a call the next day and
we're going to talk about exactly how you want this customized to you. Doesn't hurt that it's only
like a two-hour install. I think that our guys in the shop they've done it a couple times obviously
because they're the ones that install it. But I think they got it done like 47 minutes to install
a whole kit. So that's pretty good. If they can do it in 47 minutes I'm sure you can do it in a day
or a weekend at the worst. Yeah it's too late now. No. We're already going. It's Carissa with
and we're here with Keith Lyon and Eric Miller. They're self-proclaimingly going to embarrass
themselves so let's see what they're doing. So we've got what kind of tank is this? It's a Boyd
tank. Okay so that's just like the ones that we sell on our site. Is that where you got it from?
Yeah it was as a matter of fact. Oh okay. So I have to ask what's going on with this
fuel door situation? What have you got going on here? This was a homemade last minute to get here
to the show type setup. This build was uh it's progressed over a period of time so we got here
to the show and found that you guys had a gas cap that was uh great for us and was a good fit
and so we're attempting to modify this on the fly. And also when we get back home we'll be
installing the fat fender billet door. Correct. Okay did you already get one? I did and um you
guys uh are kind enough to uh y'all were sold out of the one I wanted but were able to drop ship it
so it should be at the house by the time I get there. Oh yeah nice. So you're doing your install
right now? I need to go out to the truck and get some tools to do this but uh. So that chain thing
are you just going to cut it? Um I will reach down in there and I will remove the safety mechanism
that keeps it from falling in and then I'll be able to take it out and then put that inside.
Are you excited to not have to take that off every time you put in gas? I am. I'm very excited to not
have to. Twist it on for the last time? Yeah to not to not put myself in harm's way of possibly
cutting myself. I know that's like going into a soda can like a cut open soda can. It's horrible.
It's absolutely horrible I'll be honest with you guys. Well the truck's called Tetanus for a reason.
Yeah. Oh my gosh is that really the nickname? Yeah right here. Okay so these two trucks are
each of yours whose is whose? The white one is Keith's. And then we'll get back to Tetanus.
So you have a is this a 56? 56 big window. I bought the truck and it was originally a 306
cylinder. That's the way I bought it with a little automatic overdrive. It was an all original truck
and then it's morphed into the Coyote with King Ranch interior and Cal High door panels and black
walnut bed and Detroit steel wheels and I used a lot of y'all's products to get the Coyote up and
running to where it is now. Yep King Ranch leather seat. Beautiful where'd you get that? So that's the
back seat out of a 04 through 07 F-150 crew cab. You can go on eBay. Like a marketplace find? Exactly.
How'd you get it to fit so well? Just a lot of fabrication so. A lot of love. Yeah and so Cal
Hyde on the door panels did leather on the roof did leather. I see the sun visors that's cool.
And that's Cal Hyde and so. What's the story of the Cal Hyde? Did you get the Cal Hyde and then bring
it to someone to get it made or? So on eBay they sell Cal Hydes you know you got leather or with
the hair on. I did the hair on for the door panels and the visor you know just for the cool factor.
Yeah it definitely adds some texture. Yeah and so in the King Ranch 2 you got the option of doing
the flip up and so the speakers and the radio are underneath and they bluetooth to my phone so
I can play the radio. I didn't have to cut the dash. It's not empty yet. Exactly so. Awesome.
I see you got a little USB charger that's cool. Correct USB charger. I did it column Dakota digital
dash and all the controllers I bought from y'all as far as running the shifting mechanism.
You're calling shifting pit? B-M-I or B-I-M. Is it the BIM? The BIM module? I bought the BIM module from y'all.
All the controllers for the Dakota digital to talk to the coyote engine I bought from y'all.
Works really really well. It's just a blast to drive and I drove it up here so it's about a three
hour drive so. Okay so three hours straight no problems? No problems. Dakota digital sometimes
has a wait list because they're made by order. Did you have to wait a long time? No I bought it off
eBay and they had the color I wanted and everything and they actually sell like a chrome bezel where
it all matches together and fits right in the dash and everything's was perfect. The sending
unit was correct as far as like when the fuel's empty zero and a hundred it's it's full you know
like there's no so I had to buy a small tank because these frames are so small. Yeah I use
like it's like a 12 gallon tank it's got the pump in the tank and the sending unit in the tank so
it's like a universal type. Did you have to do any fab or anything back there to make that work?
Yes I had to remove some of the frame parts to get the tank to actually even fit in there and
then I did a mustang 2 heights front end on the front. Okay so let's go under the hood. Okay.
All right so start us out. Cut the original front end out, box the frame, it's a heights
mustang 2 front end, did the coyote, did the vintage air so it's got air, did a bigger brake
booster, master cylinder, whole nine yards. I bought this this radiator from a Michigan City
auto works and it's like the original copper radiator but they make it out of aluminum.
The computer used to make them out of copper? Yeah they used to make them out of copper. I never knew
that. Yep and so the box right here is where my computer is. I broke all this out of stainless
and made the box. Yeah so it looks pretty good. Yeah and it matches that. Always stainless and
then these are an upgrade. I bought these off ebay they're a stainless support stainless upgrade
and then they sell the billet, the billet oil fill cap, a bunch of you know billet upgrades and stuff
like these are little covers. They sold all these for an upgrade. Very cool. You got a krc power
steering kit looks like? Yes. Your front runner kit? Yep. Perfect. Where'd you get your headers?
I think those came off of ebay, they're bbk. The bbks were perfect because they kick back for the
steering linkage as it drops down. I had to do you know a couple of knuckles but you can see how
close in the firewall that it would would be if the header didn't get back you know and I didn't
do any firewall mods. That's the original firewall so I didn't set it back or nothing. I just had it
as low as I could get it in the mustang 2 you know for handling and everything so. Okay nice.
What about this intake? This came from one of the uh what's the mustang company um it's like for
coyote upgrades like I can't remember the mustang uh company that sold it but it's like for coyote
upgrades you know they was not a like a lot of options for the cold air intake you know so. We
just came out with ours. You did come out with one? Yeah we just came out with ours just recently a
couple of months ago a couple weeks ago yeah. I made the little stainless bracket you know
and so. Oh to like mount it? So where this air intake is it's actually louvered in the radiator
panel so it's actually getting air yeah it's getting air so. Oh well functionality. It's got
the ac condenser and then the radiator so these three layers of radiators. Nice okay cool well
tell us about your suspension and brakes what do you got down there? So the heights comes as
complete kit it is an upgraded 11 inch rotor uh chevrolet rotor and so pretty much when you
buy a heights kit it's rotor to rotor and then in the rear I run a an explorer 8.8 with a 373 with
a positive traction rear end and I bought new lease and then I put the differential up on top
and then probably like two inch lowering blocks to get the right height. Okay that's pretty cool
your bed what do you think it was? Black walnut. Black walnut? Yep. Nice did you have someone do
that or did you do that? You did that yeah. So you did all this? Yes. That's pretty cool. I didn't
want the strips in it so I planed it and joined it together in three pieces and then put it together
and then folded it in. All these side pieces are dadoed so the bed sits flush the metal to the
wood. I don't put no clear on this this right here is what they call uh bold linseed oil and
so you just put a coat on every month or so and so a lot of like before poppy's patina come out
like on this truck all the patina trucks they were putting bold linseed oil on and you just put a
coat every now and then on it and drive it you know. Oh this is very cool. I did the old a model
duo lamps on back those are a led instead of the bigger f100 backlights. We're friends with
Coy Atkins he is putting on a Hawassi rod run. Hawassi Georgia. He's doing the Hawassi rod run.
Oh very cool. Doing that and then he's got that and he's got the rats rust and horsepower. Fitz
we're friends with Coy he wanted us to come up here and promote his car show we were more than
happy to do it. So we've got this is 2025 so we've got an October one coming up and then we've got
another one in November. Cool. Will you tell us a little bit about tetanus is it tetanus or
tetanitis or tetanus for short. Yeah this is a 1967 f100 of course we're here at the super nationals
this is a build that it was basically done in my garage um it's a frame off this was actually a
parts truck that i found that a guy was just gonna sell bits and pieces off of it and because
of the patina look to it i kind of fell in love with it and you took the whole thing i took the
whole thing yeah so i just felt like it it would do the truck disservice to break it up so uh took
it apart ground up or refurbished pieces that needed to be refurbished but pretty much it's
it's a brand new truck it's a kind of a wolf in sheep's clothing coyote swap used a lot of fat
fenders products actually and the great thing about it was was that their products made it
really easy you know when it came to break up grades when it came to uh cooling i got all my
vintage air through you guys all my dakota digital so the one thing is that i find talking to a lot
of people is they think that modern drive lines are really complicated to put in but actually you
know companies like yourself they really make it kind of a one-stop shop and it really makes it
a lot less stressful to make these builds so uh it's it's been a labor of love you know everybody
seems to get a kick out of it because it's kind of a mesh between the old and new so that's what
i like about it oh thank you for that testimonial yeah yeah definitely so do we have is this a
returnless kit i recognize that aeromotive gauge yeah is that what you did you ran a returnless
system yeah so i'm assuming you have a vaporworks then i do you got cold swift modulated system
yeah did you relocate your oil filter yeah i put a relocation kit on it did you use ours i did okay
yeah we got one of those i did transmission through you guys you must have done maybe an
h-pipe kit i did okay yeah yeah you got that you got everything you got the works then yeah
like i said it really made it you know when when i had an issue i called you guys up and you said
hey we've got that and so uh really took care of it every time that that would happen i would i would
come across something and you guys were pretty knowledgeable and just giving me general information
over the phone on what to do to work through a problem it would be just a weekend at a time i
would just attack one part of it you guys gave me great advice and and it came out to be a great a
great vehicle really well that's great to hear so if this is in the last two years then you probably
talked to spencer a lot i would imagine yeah okay cool so again went with a i kind of wanted to go
with a really a really clean look and so uh and i you know wanted to maintain some originality
as far as a throwback so i kind of went with the crushed leather and uh gives it you know comfort
and style the blend of both if you will i kept the old instrument bezel but went through with
dakota digital from you guys that really helped out you need one of our undercover i do i do need
undercover so i gotta get i know i gotta get on the ball with you guys are you gonna leave that
plane i think i am i think because i think if i if i do too much it kind of takes away from the
almost vintage rustic look of it so and that kind of gives it a little bit to me it gives it more of
a of a hot rod it's been worked i was gonna say that yeah it kind of gives that yeah a little
bit of a raw kind of pellet look to it it's kind of like crazy to well the patina looks really good
obviously but you don't like not everybody knows what you're looking at when you look at patina so
like correct yeah some people are like what yeah so they don't get it that's right but then you see
this inside and then you start to get it you know yeah yeah i have some girlfriends over here like
have no idea what's underneath these and it's funny because you get that reaction with people
you get some people that that and i'm not trying to pick on the female group but you get a lot of
females that come in they're just like it's an old rusty truck there's a lot of guys that come
through say that as well you watch them kind of start putting it together and then they see the
coyote and then they see the shiny wheels and they go wait a minute there's something a little
a little different about this trying to explain it to other people and i'm like i don't know there's
a lot of money under that and also it is like i don't want to say priceless but it kind of is like
you can't really like especially later on you really aren't going to be able to put a number
on it and this is a form of antiquing it's yeah this is mother nature artwork yeah mother nature
did this so why change it i can appreciate my shiny paint but the statue of liberty same thing
same same exact thing okay so tell us about your bed what what is this why do we have to do that
so uh again going with the theme you know this is a 50 plus year old truck and so back then
trucks were actually used now we have cadillacs with beds on them so uh the working part of this
truck obviously took some abuse and so uh it went through and it was patched it's a testament that
it's kind of a rebirth of this truck a lot of people ask about the hump over it and for people
that don't understand that's when guys drop these so low the suspension has to hide somewhere so we
we cover that suspension with a hump or a doghouse some people call them but um that's that's the
reason for that as i spoke earlier of my wonderful gas cap that is uh that that i happen to know a
company that makes a great cap um that uh that's in the works of getting replaced but i feel like
taking if i go back and refurbish anything that takes away its character kind of takes away its
story right all the bumps and bruises and scars so uh you know that's what makes helps make things
unique yeah and so i like to keep that yeah this is awesome i like this then we're used to raising
the bed because we raise the bed on all of ours correct yeah so we don't really ever see the
tunnels too much but it takes away space it does your bed when you raise it it does it takes a
not a lot yeah i can still use it if needed i didn't want to try to reinvent the wheel
this is really low a lot of people ask is it bag but uh obviously it doesn't sit on the ground um
i've used suspension wise i've got a uh a crown vic cross member in it and i did qa1 coil overs
and some lowering brackets and for the back i kept the original nine inch and i did a triangulated
four link in the back of it and did it with uh pull overs as well and then of course went with
big willwood disc brakes you know six pistons in the front four pistons in the back try to keep it
clean and simple you know just so it's not overly done it's kind of it's a subdued this kind of like
height i feel like is really popular in the gear range yeah they're all kind of getting to it but
i think it looks real good yeah it kind of gives it i've heard some people call it like a california
stance it's a little lower and a little longer okay i can see that kind of push the wheels out
to the edges a little bit so a little bit more of an aggressive look you get a great truck so far i
mean uh the like i said before the whole coyote system uh i mean it just it's ford really knocked
it out of the park when they did that so it gets great gas mileage it performs outstanding um it's
it's more than more than enough for this for this truck okay well thanks for being our guinea pig
and next time we see you we're gonna expect that to be installed definitely we'll definitely
have that installed and i'll uh i'll look at doing the dash the the underpinning for the
dash as well oh yeah you need to undercover okay perfect well that sounds great and then maybe we'll
see you in the grand national show yeah yeah we're shooting to get there okay sounds good we'll see
you again soon thanks so much hey guys it is end of day two friday at the f100 supernational show
in severe pole tennessee thank you so much for everybody telling us about your stories telling
us about your coyotes your families your trucks saying nice things about our trucks our parts
