So I'll translate while he speaks in Chinese.
So I started to practice Falun Gong in 1998.
Before I practiced, I actually had heart problems.
So I really had a very difficult life.
So after I started practice, I really regained health very quickly.
But unfortunately, in 1999, the government started to persecute Falun Gong.
Falun Gong saved my life.
It gave me a new understanding.
In 1999, when I came out,
I used my own experience to explain to the government
that we are beneficiaries.
After I came out and explained to the government,
I was arrested five times.
The fifth time I was arrested, I was sentenced to eight years in prison.
I went through many times of horrible torture.
One time, I was tortured like 36 hours continuously in a public police station.
They used a strap metal hat to scrape on his sensitive part of the body.
Those pains were very unbearable and actually went on for hours.
After 30 hours, I was sent to Jixi City, the northern part of China.
The detention center did not accept me because both my eyes were black.
When the detention guards saw me, they refused to accept me
because my body from the torture were all black.
In China, there is an office dedicated for persecution of Falun Gong.
It's called Sixth Center Office.
That detention center was honored to accept me by that office.
In that detention center, I was tortured again.
They used actual batons to torture me,
my mouth, nipples, and lower part of the body.
After that, I was transferred to Daxing Prison, which is a nearby city.
At 8 p.m. on November 16, 2004,
I was transferred to Daxing District Court.
On April 16, I was transferred to the first hospital in Daxing City.
You can see the scars. It's like a foot long.
Without his consent, they operated on me.
You just saw that they actually made a cut almost a foot long in the part of my liver.
During the operation, there was a detention guard holding a gun by my side.
The detention guard said to the prisoner,
a nurse who was listening to the operation next to me,
that she had been a nurse for 30 years.
It was the first time she had done organ transplantation surgery.
The guard heard from the nurse who worked there for 30 years.
The nurse said that was the first organ transplant operation in that hospital in 2004.
On March 2, 2006,
Daxing Prison transferred me to Longnan Hospital in Daxing City.
There were three beds in the room.
Two police officers held my feet on the beds and beat me with metal tools.
They said I swallowed a knife.
My sister came to see me.
She said I swallowed a knife.
I had surgery tomorrow.
I didn't swallow a knife.
The fact is I did not swallow any normal sharp objects.
Because I was detained in prison, I could not speak.
I had no rights.
So my sister asked me, brother, what do you want to eat?
I told her that I wanted some peaches and pears.
So my sister bought those and brought them to the hospital and watched me take some of those fruits.
After that, my sister didn't do anything.
She just left with tears in her eyes.
At that time, a man in a green shirt came in with a white coat and a mask.
He was a male doctor.
He came over and massaged my calves.
He said he had surgery tomorrow.
After he left, another nurse came in.
She gave me a protein pill and gave me a shot.
I was able to sit up.
I said I was not sick. I did not need the injection.
The nurse pointed at the two policemen and said,
Why is Falun Gong not tied up?
I looked at her.
The nurse said to me, you will be quiet soon.
I did not swallow the pill.
She lied to me that I swallowed the pill.
The next day, I had surgery.
At this time, I ate canned food and fell asleep.
It was 2 a.m. in the middle of the night.
I fell asleep after that.
I woke up at about 2 a.m. in the morning.
I asked to use the restroom.
They locked the shackles and left me on the bed.
There were three beds again.
One guard fell asleep.
The second guard locked the shackles and walked me to the restroom down the lobby.
As soon as I left the shackles, I saw a staircase.
It was a fire escape.
I cherished my life very much.
I did not want the surgery.
The first surgery made me so painful.
Because I knew they were going to do the operation tomorrow,
the first operation left a lot of pain.
I still suffered.
I really wanted to escape from it.
After the operation, I came back to the room.
When we came back, even before the guard put the shackles on my legs and arms,
he sat down and fell asleep.
At that moment, I saw the opportunity that I could probably manage to escape.
I walked down the stairs.
I really want to take this opportunity to thank the U.S. government and all Americans to rescue me here.
So I have a chance to stand here.
I appear to be very normal while I'm standing here and talking to you.
However, I cannot really return to my normal state.
The pain actually hurts with every pulse in my heart.
With the help of my American friends and American volunteers,
I was able to have a physical check-up.
I found that my left liver and lungs were partially removed.
Today, I'm not only speaking for myself, but also speaking for my fellow practitioners in China who have already died.
Because of course, they were already silenced by the government.
Practitioners Li Mengxin and Zhang Zhong disappeared at Heilongjiang Public Security Hospital.
Wang Dayuan was beaten to death by the Harbin prison.
Li Huifeng, Jin Sheng, Jiang Genrong, Cao Guozi, and Guo Meisong, Liu Guihua, Li Min, Li Hongkui, Xu Mingsheng, and Zhong Daoqin.
Zhu Hongbin, Guan Zhaoxu, Zhao Qingshan, Li Minghui, and Qu Jishan were also silenced.
I came here today to speak for them.
I want to thank you all for standing with us.
I'm here to speak for them and thank you all.
I'm sure in heaven they are watching us.
They want me to express my appreciation and thank you for your support.
This documentary is real.
I also want to thank the director of this film.
I want to thank you all for coming here to listen to my story.
I have suffered a lot.
I want to thank you all for coming here to listen to my story.
Today, for practitioners who are still in China being tortured, they could die any time.
Also, they could be subject to organ harvesting any time.
I luckily escaped from the hospital where they planned to kill me for organs.
To my knowledge, I'm the only survivor of this horrific crime.
I want to thank you to listen to my story and learn about the crime that the Chinese Communist Party has been committing by forcibly harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
This is a crime that has never been seen before on this earth.
Even for my case, they tried to pretend to be on the good side, told my family members they were trying to save my life.
In fact, they were trying to kill me.
One thing I can remember probably the latest is what happened in World War II during the Holocaust.
Nazis invited priests to pray for the Jews before actually putting them in gas chambers.
I also want to take this opportunity to appeal for your help.
Please do what you can.
For example, you can probably talk to your representatives or senators.
Tell them the story that I just shared today.
Tell them that crime is still happening in China.
We must stop it as soon as possible.
Thank you all.
Thank you very much, Mr. Cheng.
One more thing to add is you can look at the picture.
This picture was taken in November 2004 in the hospital.
That's really Mr. Cheng laying in the bed.
He was shackled onto the bed.
Also, this is an IV tube.
You can see this picture.
It was secretly taken in the hospital in November 2004 when he was partially organized.
This picture just broke through the firewall of the internet and transferred to Minghui.org,
which is a first-hand experience of the particular story sharing platform.
Also, I have Mr. Cheng's CT scan picture.
If you are interested, you can look after this event.
Thank you, Mr. Cheng and Amy, for sharing your story.
Thank you very much for today, however, as well.
