#persecution, #pakistanpersecution
What we heard here this evening, the first thing that came to my mind is that it's 3,000
years and we still, as a people, a human race, haven't figured out how not to hate each other.
I mean, it's just a continuation of that.
You'd think after all these years we'd finally be smarter, better than that, but it seems
like this evening, in one way, it saddens you to hear the things that we heard today.
And of course, somebody mentioned as part of our presentation, 1947, it's not the most
recent.
We've had a lot of things even more recent, but we had the Nuremberg trials, for instance,
you know, that were just so atrocious.
But then this is just a continuation of that, a smaller continuation, but still a continuation.
And when is it going to stop?
How can we make it stop?
I think we heard some good ideas here this evening, and I think the congressman is going
to leave here with a new understanding, a new feeling for how bad things really are.
And perhaps with his good offices and the help of some of those people, maybe there'll
be a solution in there someplace.
We can only hope to God.
Well, of course, what happens over in China, because it's so secretive, we have people
here who are in contact with some of these folks, they have extended family there.
Unfortunately, the problem is probably, geometrically, even worse over in China.
But we as a people are not hearing, we're not hearing how bad it is.
But I'm sure it's got to be bad.
Minority people, how does that happen?
Why does it continue?
Perhaps good will prevail, I hope so, I hope so.
