The bridges have been working for centuries.
Sometimes for the culture, sometimes for the people.
Sometimes for the community, sometimes for the business.
That's why the relationship between the steps of development and the bridges is unbreakable.
The beautiful eastern part of India is on the path of progress with the efforts of the current government.
And now this region is going to become a witness of another peak of progress.
In Assam, at the Brahmaputra river, 17 km away from Dibrugarh,
the country's longest railway bridge, Bogi Bir, has been built.
It is built at the highest point of the Brahmaputra river.
Its total length is 4.94 km and costs Rs. 5920 crore.
Along with the double-line broad gauge, this three-lane road-specific bridge
has been built with special care for the floods that come every year in the Brahmaputra river.
That's why 9 km and 7 km of bunds have been built on both sides to make it stronger.
This will be the only bridge in India that is made entirely of steel concrete composite girder.
Temporary Prime Minister Swargiya Atal Bihari Vajpayee started the work on this bridge on 22nd April 2002.
But it was being delayed in its work.
After 2014, the work began in full swing.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid special attention to this,
the bridge-shaped seed sown during Atalji's time of development has now become a fruitful plant.
Due to being a road-specific bridge, it will connect the 74 km rail line between North and South.
It will also connect the NH 37 in the South and the NH 52 in the North.
The bridge will connect the North and South banks of the Brahmaputra river with Assam and Arunachal.
This will give strength to the social and economic development of North Assam and East Arunachal Pradesh.
Rail connectivity will increase in the North East.
It will be easier to reach Dibrugarh, which will reduce congestion in Guwahati.
This bridge will provide a small and convenient road for Dibrugarh through the northern bank of the Brahmaputra.
The bridge will reduce the distance of 705 km via the railway line and 150 km via the road.
This will provide a direct road connection from Dibrugarh to Itanagar.
The distance from Dibrugarh via Uttar Chor to Rangia will be 170 km.
The distance from Dibrugarh to Guwahati via Moranhat will also be 55 km.
Every season connectivity will be maintained because of the bridge.
It will now be very easy to carry out the earlier round-trip logistics.
There will be savings of money.
The Yatayat will be made simple by constructing a 16 km service road on both banks of the Brahmaputra river.
It will be easy to supply the army and the army to the eastern part of the country.
The bridge is of particular importance in terms of national security.
Only then will this bridge become the life line of North East India.
Now the railway, North East and development are at each other's mercy.
India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dedicating this bridge to the nation.
Jai Hind!
