Pursuit with STOLEN Suzuki Katana - Fleeing motorcycle tries everything to evade, Trooper bumps it
Trooper's Narrative:
On September 21st at approximately 12:07 a.m. I attempted to conduct a traffic stop with a white motorcycle for improper
display of license plate. After activated my emergency lights and rider pulled to the shoulder for a second, and then began to
flee. I then activated my sirens and was in pursuit of the motorcycle.
The pursuit turned onto US 71/College Ave southbound. We continued on College Ave. reaching speeds of 85 mph, going in
and out of traffic and traveling the wrong way. We then took College Ave. south off of School Ave. to 15th St. where we were
heading westbound. We continued westbound on 15th St. until reaching Hollywood St. The subject continued to drive
recklessly and traveling the wrong way. The suspect attempted to enter an apartment complex and parking lot. At this time I
was able to stop the fleeing motorcycle and bring the pursuit to an end without further incident.
The suspect was then taken into custody. After running the license plate that was attached to the bike it was stolen out of
Kansas. After running the VIN on the motorcycle it was also stolen out of Lauderdale Florida. Both items were confirmed and the
suspect was taken to Washington County.
