This easy-to-follow recipe will show you how to create the best chicken fried rice.
Get ready to impress your friends and family in just 4 easy steps.
Step 1, prepare the steamed rice.
In a rice cooker, add the rinsed jasmine rice and water.
Use the setting for rice and cook.
Transfer the steamed rice to a plate and cool down.
Now we're gonna cover up the rice with a plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for overnight.
Here I have one important cooking tip.
It's best to use overnight rice for fried rice because there's less moisture in it,
so it's easier to separate every grain of rice while stir-frying it.
Step 2, marinate the chicken.
In a mixing bowl, add the chicken and salt.
Mix until the chicken has fully absorbed the salt.
White pepper helps to remove the gamey taste.
Egg white helps to tenderize the chicken.
Cornstarch slurry seals the juice of the chicken inside.
Oil helps the chicken not sticking to the pan while stir-frying it.
Everyone has an important purpose.
Mix well.
Marinate the chicken for about 10 minutes.
Step 3, prepare the sauce.
In a bowl, add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and white pepper.
The sauce is super easy and it's going to be so delicious.
You'll see.
Step 4, let's make the fried rice.
In a wok over high heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil and the marinated chicken.
Let it have a beautiful sear before touching it.
