I miss you.
Thank you for coming back to the show.
This is so fun. Thank you for having me.
Happy birthday.
Thank you.
What was it, last week?
Two days ago.
Your birthday was two days ago.
It was two days ago. I turned 30.
This is the big one.
What do you feel?
What's going through a 30-year-old mind?
I mean, I feel pretty 30.
Oh, no. Stop.
Well, what does that mean?
I mean, feeling 30.
It's not old, but it's not not old, either.
It's definitely, trust me, it's definitely not old.
I'm 40, so I barely remember turning 30.
But it's a whole new decade thing.
How were your 20s? Did you love your 20s?
Um...
Interesting.
No, I mean, I liked a lot.
Obviously, it was, like, very special.
Some great things happened.
But it's such a weird decade internally.
Like, I found it really challenging emotionally.
I don't remember my 20s. I don't remember anything.
I mean, some periods were great.
When you're in your 40s, you don't remember
your 20s or your 30s.
Well, that's good to know.
It just all gets blocked out anyway.
My 20s were great. That was when, you know,
I think most things in my life,
most good things that happened in my life were in my 30s.
See? I'm so excited.
I got married. I had babies.
Your 30s are great. You're in for a great decade.
I'm excited. I'm really looking forward.
I haven't seen you since we were talking about
La La Land before it came out.
Yes.
And you went on to win every single award.
And I told you, I was like, dude, I love you so much.
I can't even look at you. I can't look at you.
All right, just turn away.
I can't even look at you right now.
All right, fine.
I'm so happy and proud of you.
Oh, you've got things over there.
I should look.
I just, what was that like?
I mean, every award's different, obviously, and all fun,
but the Academy Awards had to have been a rush.
Whew. That was nuts, right?
That was quite a night. That was surreal.
That, I don't really remember that well.
Really?
Yeah, just because it's so crazy.
Like, it's just, it seems impossible.
It probably is impossible, but something weird happened.
But yeah, no, I really just remember being with my brother.
That's cool.
And you bring your brother, does he come to all the awards?
He does.
You've met my brother before.
Absolutely.
He's, yeah, he's come with me to most everything
because he's so cool and so easy breezy.
And it's just like, oh, this is cool.
Can we go home?
He's just, he just does it.
He's not fazed by any of it.
He doesn't freak out, like when you said your name or anything?
No, oh, yes.
That was the sweetest moment ever
because I asked him to hold my hand.
My little brother's my favorite person
that's ever lived of all time.
I love him so much.
And he's pretty great, but I asked him to hold my hand.
And when they said my name, he jumped up before me
and was like, oh, and there's this picture
from the back of the theater that my mom now has framed.
It's so sweet because I'm still sitting down, but he's up.
And it was just like, yeah.
And he's like, he's the most calm person.
But that was really a sweet, memorable.
That was like what I remember the very most.
Do you remember just getting handed the Academy Award?
I mean, what goes through?
Because I'm never going to get an Academy Award.
I just want to live through you.
What was really nuts in my experience
was that it was Leonardo DiCaprio.
Oh, man, you can't beat Leonardo DiCaprio.
Who is Jack from Titanic.
I love, I mean, of course he is.
But I had seen that movie so many times
and I had a framed photo of him in my room
when I was a kid that was signed by him.
Really?
Yeah, and then I just, it was just like walking up there
and just like getting to be near him was really exciting.
Dude, but now you.
So it sounds like everything other than the thing itself
was the best part.
But that's not what I mean.
I'm very grateful.
It was really fun.
Now you are him.
And now someone's going to come up.
I am him?
Yes, you're Jack from Titanic.
I have a, oh, that's a very sad ending to Jack.
No, no, no, no, no.
You're in the acting world.
You freeze and float to the bottom of the ocean.
But you look gorgeous all the way down.
What do you do with the Academy Award?
Can you have it out?
Is it weird to have it in your house?
Yeah, no, my mom, my mom has it.
You gave it to your mom.
How good are you?
How cool are you?
I can't explain it.
You love your brother.
You're good to your mom.
Oh, my God.
I am the best person ever.
Stop it.
You're the best person ever, man.
I'm so nice.
Oh, my God.
Wow.
