Snow Storm Winter Camping in Cozy Van. Blizzard Whiteout. Heavy Snowfall Freezing Temps #vanlife

Okay, we're at the end of March, and we got another snowstorm. I'm going to go across this mountain plateau to get back out west, and it looks like there's convoy driving again. So either I have to stay on this side of the mountain, because I wanted to spend some time up there, or I have to drive a convoy across the mountain, I guess. We'll see when we get up there. Interesting weather again. I thought I was done with the snowstorms for the season, but apparently not. Okay, so it's a convoy across the mountain here, but I talked to them, and they said I could get out of the convoy when I got up to where I want to go. So that's what I'll do. It's snowing quite heavily now, so maybe they changed their minds, but for now that sounds like a good option for me. Here they come. So that's the convoy. Let's hope I can join them now. That'd be awesome. Okay, we're off. I was able to get into the convoy as the last car without being counted, and I have a plow truck behind me, and I'm gonna get off at Fagerheim. It's quite slippery down here. Hope it doesn't get too slow down here where it's slippery. There's a lot of snow here. So much more snow here than when I was here last time. I was parked up here on this plateau in November, but now it's just like four times as much snow. This is awesome. It is a whiteout. You cannot see anything outside of the plow sticks here. It's a bunch of kiters up here having a lot of fun. They're always up here because it's usually so windy. I found my place up here. It's amazing. It's a really good place now. There's a lot of snow, and there's actually quite a few cars parked here, and it looks like they're in the mountains in cabins and stuff. So this is gonna be my place for the night. We'll have to see how much snow is gonna fall, but it could be a considerable amount. Just gonna enjoy this. It's 3.30 now, and I'm gonna set up camp here. These people are in the mountains somewhere. Okay, all set up. Need a quick lunch. Gonna make a few sandwiches with Spanish serrano ham and Swedish gouda cheese. Some simple lunch. The Spanish serrano ham just makes it so good. So many people have asked me what I do in my van, and through this winter when it's been such crappy weather, and also it's been so dark because I went very fast very far north, so only had a few hours of daylight. But the weather this year has been especially bad. So spent a lot of time indoors, and what I do spend the most of the day doing is working. So I have my office here with my computer and my hard drives, and use my cell phone with an unlimited data plan to access the internet. And basically I work on my videos a lot. A lot of time goes into editing, and uploading, and subtitling, and all that stuff. So that's what I'm doing when I'm not outside, or if I'm not reading a book, or cooking, or watching a TV show on my computer. Can you believe the beauty of this place? Okay, it's dinner time. I had a good long day of work here in the snowstorm. Gonna make a burger steak burrito today. Bought some burger steaks, and gonna see what I can find to add to that, and have it in a burrito. Got some new lights in the back here. This new string here is new. Always adding new lights to the van here to make it as cozy as possible. It's currently minus five outside, and it's nearly eight. Looks like there's another van parked here as well now. Gonna clear some snow off the sunroof here. Well, good morning, my friends. It's a beautiful day outside, actually. It's a little bit windy, but the snow that came down yesterday has put the blanket on the older snow, so it's just really pretty outside now. Not sure yet if I'm gonna stay here for a day or two more. There's a new storm coming in later today and tomorrow. It's gonna get really cold, and we get down to nearly minus 20 again. We're at the end of March. We got kiters out here. It's a beautiful day. It's a little bit windy, and I'm gonna head out on a ski trip. So, just a little bit too cold today. There's this kind of cold wind blowing that makes it a little bit uncomfortable. I'm not gonna sit down and enjoy the day. But it was good to get out here and look at some views. So, one of the difficult things about skis in a van is that they're long, and they get wet, and you need to kind of make a decision if you want to get your van wet inside or if you want to do everything outside. So, I'm trying to find a way to do this. Also, you can see these skis have steel edges, so they're kind of, if you bump into something, could harm the finish of the tree or something. But I'm trying to keep it on the inside for now. We'll see how it works.
