Une présentation objective du grand penseur chinois et de son immense influence
Hello everyone, today we are going to talk about the life of a legendary character, Confucius.
He lived in the 6th century BC in a country no less legendary, China.
He had a strong influence on Chinese society and in Asian countries such as Japan, Vietnam, Korea and many others.
And did you know that in the 17th century, following several missionary trips to the Land of the Rising Sun,
they brought back and spread in the West the Confucian wisdom.
This wisdom was a considerable success and an appreciable influence on our great thinkers and contemporary philosophers.
They created a real enthusiasm for Confucius,
and we still find this intact admiration in the entire Western world today.
So, question, what has become of the thought of wisdom in today's China?
Our association, Citizen Initiative, is interested in Chinese traditional culture.
Alas, badly misused by the Chinese regime.
How did the ideas of Confucius and his image go through this terrible period of the Chinese Cultural Revolution,
led by the dictator Mao Zedong?
You can imagine, they were almost destroyed.
Confucius was the philosopher of the Chinese tradition,
the most despised and even designated as the number one enemy during this dark period in the history of China.
During the 2000s and after a start-up,
at the initiative of a few Chinese intellectuals,
this character experienced a semblance of return to grace.
Chinese leaders realized at the same time that the philosopher was the object of an admiration,
still intact in Western countries.
So they had the idea of exporting communist propaganda,
using the name of Confucius, a bit like Denmark,
by creating a Confucian institute on the model of the Goethe-Institut or the French Alliance.
Very clever indeed, because a Mao institute would never have gone abroad,
at least I hope so.
Using the name of Confucius was the perfect camouflage to enter large-scale in other countries.
Confucius Institute is indeed very attractive.
We have seen the rest.
In terms of teaching,
for example, did you know that young children in Western countries
have to sing the glory of Mao during their lessons?
It is a heresy to spread the glory of one of the worst dictators in history
and to instill his propaganda in the minds of our young children.
In addition, through these institutes,
the Chinese regime, which I remind you is a dictatorship for more than 70 years,
has developed propaganda, infiltration and interference actions within foreign universities.
For example, at our Belgian neighbors,
the former Chinese director of the Confucius Institute in Brussels
And many other acts of interference have been exposed in the United States,
in Switzerland, in Sweden, in Australia and the list is long.
Some governments around the world have alerted, rightly,
and shut down these schools of the Chinese Communist Party
after realizing that it was a real horse of three.
For this, we ask the French government
and the partner universities of the Confucius Institutes
to take the measure of the danger of this infiltration
and to definitively close all Confucius Institutes in France.
