The final piece in the suite 'Carnival of the Animals' by Camille Saint-Saëns is simply called 'Finale'. It is not dedicated to a specific animal.

The suite "Carnival of the Animals" was not published during the composer's lifetime, but today it is one of his best-known works.
As a very witty fantasy-burlesque suite, and the best known by Saint-Saens, it is sad that the composer himself never enjoyed the great enthusiasm with which his music was received after his death.

Camille Saint-Saens was born in 1835 in Paris, France. His great aunt Charlotte introduced him to the piano and he started piano lessons at the age of 2!
Please enjoy the great FINALE!

The finale brings the animal portraits full circle. As in the introduction to the King's March, the pianos, this time supported by piccolo flute, clarinet, glass harmonica and xylophone, open the finale with a brilliant tremolo. After ten bars, the introductory bars lead into a very fast gallop. Here the animals reappear together. It can be seen that almost all of the animals introduced earlier make another brief appearance.
