The results are in! There are proteins that I can have, and those I must avoid.
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. I'm Maggie the substitute teacher teaching you how I've lost 65 pounds with 35 more to go by substituting the foods that I used to love for the foods that love me back.
So if you like what I'm doing, please give me a thumbs up. Alright, so I want to continue the results of my food sensitivity test for you guys and today we're going to talk about the proteins that I'm sensitive to.
So those of you that may not know, I get tested for food sensitivities. This is my third time. It includes a cheek swab and a little bit of hair sample.
And then I get a result back of the foods that my body has a hard time processing so I avoid those. And that's how I'm losing my weight.
Alright, so you can see here on my plan here, the proteins that I can have are listed below, if they're highlighted in yellow, that means I need to avoid them because I'm sensitive to them.
I can have them baked, boiled or baked, boiled or grilled, so there's no fried food. I do sometimes pan fry and a little bit of goat's butter or the MCT coconut oil.
Of course, you want to take all the skin and the fat off before you cook your food. And then the one thing that I want to call out for you guys as you see here, to me, this is actually a lot.
This plan is pretty high in protein. And that's a good thing I've learned that you know you stay fuller longer when you have protein, your body digests it more slowly and for me I feel more satisfied that that keeps me on track.
So you'll see here for breakfast, I need to eat at least five ounces, eight ounces for lunch, eight ounces is half a pound, right? So that's like a whole tub of deli meat, you know, eight ounce deli meat.
It could be, you know, two quarter pound patties, just the patties, you know, grilled and then seven ounces for dinner.
Alright, so you can see here, if you don't eat meat, there are some other things that you can have for your protein. I'm big on eggs, thank goodness I am not sensitive to those.
What has come back on my results this time is cottage cheese. I would use cottage cheese sometimes as a ricotta substitute.
But I have to stay away from cow dairy. Looks like cow dairy and grains are going to be the big ones for me so I can't have cottage cheese. I can't have Greek yogurt, I was using that on my berries so I need to avoid it.
I don't drink the keeper I don't really like the taste of it. And funnily enough lobster came up.
I started eating more shellfish, and so I will continue to have scallops and shrimp.
But I need to hold off on the lobster for now. So you can see here you know I'm no longer sensitive to chicken breast.
And some of the other things you guys can read there on there but this is basically the list that I used to get my ideas for recipes I want my food to taste good and I want to enjoy it.
And so this is what I do so I'll be eating more fish. You guys know I'm a big fan of the goats cheese and goat products, tuna.
So, I eat every day so I try to make a video for you guys every day.
Please consider subscribing and follow me along for live cooking demonstrations on the weekend. All right, that's it for now until the next video.
