Do you want to learn how to create the best fish marinade using an exotic spice blend
inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine? Then continue watching as Donny Mun Family Kitchen presents to
you our mouth-watering grilled fish marinade recipe with fresh garlic, tangy lemon and
aromatic spices that'll be sure to tantalise your taste buds. We will show you how to perfectly
grill sea bass fillets and create this quick, healthy and delicious meal that your family
will just adore. So are you ready? Let's begin with the recipe now! Here we are using sea bass
fillets but you can use any fish of your choice. We prepare the fish by sprinkling salt, turmeric
powder and one tablespoon of lemon juice. Gently rub the mixture onto the fish, leave to sit for
about 10 minutes and then thoroughly wash off. This step is optional but we always use this
method to remove any fishy smell before cooking the fish. Now we'll prepare the marinade. Start
with two to three tablespoons of olive oil, three crushed garlic cloves, one tablespoon
red pepper paste. You can use tomato puree instead. Then we'll add the juice of one lemon
and one teaspoon crushed coriander seeds. Freshly crushing the coriander seeds gives a wonderful
aroma but you can use coriander powder instead. Half teaspoon chili flakes or as per your taste,
one teaspoon cumin powder and one teaspoon paprika and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
or about quarter teaspoon black pepper powder. Now mix all these wonderful ingredients together
to create a thick and aromatic marinade. You can tell by the rich red colour and the wonderful
tangy lemony aroma emitting from the marinade that this is going to taste just incredible.
Now here we have the sea bass fillets that have been thoroughly washed. We have placed them on
a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Add some salt to taste and then spoon on all the
marinade. Ensure to generously coat each fillet with the marinade. Turn the fish around and apply
a little marinade to the back of the fish as well. It's worth mentioning that sea bass is a good
source of protein, vitamin b12 and omega-3 fatty acids. I have a trivia question of the day for you.
Comment below which country do you think exports the largest amount of lemons in the world?
I'm interested to see all your answers below. Preheat the top grill in your oven to 250 degrees
celsius. Note that using the top grill in the oven in the UK is the same as broiling in the US.
We want to grill the sea bass for about 15 minutes or until the fish has fully cooked through.
Serve the fish immediately whilst piping hot. Doesn't it look just mouth-watering?
The marinade with the garlic, lemon and spices were just incredible and complemented
the perfectly flaky sea bass really well. We served the fish with a tangy sumac onion salad
and eggplant tomato rice. You can find more delicious fish recipes in our playlist including
