Ladies and gentlemen,
when a monk was wearing a cassock,
he gave up his life,
giving up his life for the Buddha.
Therefore, when we talk to the monk,
we all have experience.
Because they are far away,
few people know their thoughts
and do not understand why they chose to go to the monastery.
Although this is a personal matter,
but thanks to the miracle,
we have met a monk.
The monk wants to share
about the hard journey to find the way
and the obstacles that she could not find
in the land of Thu Hanh province
during the French colonization.
Thank you very much for sharing today.
Can you introduce yourself to the audience?
Yes.
My name is Do Thi Trung,
I was born in 1955.
Now I live at 6199 Thuong 10,
Quang Trung Street, Hoa Bac District, Ho Chi Minh City.
I was born in a Buddhist family,
a family of nine children.
I am the oldest sister.
After finishing high school,
I stayed at home to help my mother with housework.
After that, I often went to the monastery.
At the monastery, there is a medical room
for the treatment of charity diseases.
I often went there to see the doctors.
The doctor asked me,
do you like to treat diseases?
I said yes.
Then he let me go to school.
When I was free,
he taught me to sing.
I like to sing very much.
I was very impressed with his teaching.
Since then, I like to treat diseases.
I like to learn to teach.
I want to live in a monastery.
When I was 20 years old,
I had to start a family.
At that time, my life was very hard.
I was not happy in my family.
I had different views.
I like to go to the monastery and do charity work.
When my children were all grown up,
I decided to solve my problem.
I decided to go to school.
During your life,
did you achieve anything?
When I went to the monastery,
I had an unimaginable experience.
When I went to the monastery,
I had to go to the hospital.
Someone told me that I had cancer.
I don't know who did this to me.
I don't have any disciples.
If I told anyone,
they would kick me out of the monastery.
I was very angry.
I asked, who did this to me?
They kicked me out of the monastery.
Since then, my life has taken a new turn.
The monks and nuns in the monasteries
told me that it was the time of the Buddha.
It was the time of the Buddha.
After what happened to me,
I realized that it was the time of the Buddha.
In the time of the Buddha,
everything was peaceful.
But for someone like me,
I couldn't accept the time of the Buddha.
I remember that the Buddha said that
the Buddha only existed for 500 years.
500 years after the Buddha,
there was the time of the Buddha.
500 years after the Buddha,
there was the time of the Buddha.
It's been 2,500 years.
The Buddha also said that
in the time of the Buddha,
there would be a new Buddha to be born.
I took that as my conclusion.
I thought that although it was the time of the Buddha,
there was still a Buddha to be born.
I couldn't accept the time of the Buddha.
I had to accept all those negative things.
That's how I found it.
After that, some of my friends
saw that I was a nun.
When I left the monastery, I had nowhere to stay.
I didn't go home.
I decided to look for a place to stay.
I went to Thailand.
There was a monastery that I wanted to stay.
They agreed.
They gave me a room.
It was for one person.
I noticed that there were a lot of rooms like that.
Each room had a water bottle
and a half-liter bottle.
It was full of water.
I had to fill the water bottle
in every room to the brim.
I had to fill the water bottle in every room to the brim.
While I was filling the water bottle,
I thought that
I had to empty the negative thoughts
and negative thoughts from my mind.
If I kept doing that,
I would get the same result.
I couldn't accept it.
I thought it was too simple.
I couldn't help anyone.
I lived in Thailand for 2 years.
I couldn't do anything.
I invited 1 or 2 people to go to Myanmar.
I stayed there.
It was a tranquil place.
But many people took advantage of it.
They ate and drank like in Thailand.
There was no manager.
I was alone.
I couldn't do anything.
I went to Laos and Cambodia.
Cambodia was more complicated.
I thought there was no other country like this.
So I decided to return to Vietnam.
Did you feel it was a tranquil place when you lived in the temple?
At first, I thought it was a tranquil place so I came.
But after living there for a while,
I realized it wasn't a tranquil place.
There were still a lot of normal people.
So I thought,
when will I achieve enlightenment?
There were a lot of sutras.
The sutras were big.
And they were very unique.
But no one explained it to me.
No one taught me to understand.
It was unique, but I didn't understand.
During the retreat,
I felt like I was back to normal.
I didn't change at all.
But when I lived there with other people,
I saw the problem of time sentry.
We were jealous of each other.
So I felt that my retreat was not successful.
I was like that forever.
No one taught me.
No one showed me the way.
So I was like that day after day.
How long did the retreat last?
I practiced Buddhism for about...
So what happened next?
After you went to France?
It didn't happen.
But I realized that
I was sick myself.
I couldn't take it.
I couldn't do anything.
I wanted to be cured.
I wanted everyone to be cured.
But there was nothing to guide me.
There was no method to practice.
So I was sick.
Why did you choose to practice Buddhism?
I didn't choose to practice Buddhism.
But after that,
I received a book called
Finding the Secret of the Mind.
There was a book by Thích Chứng Thông.
I read it and I found it very interesting.
There were three contacts in the book.
North, Central, and South.
But I couldn't find any contact.
I couldn't find any answer.
So I decided to go to another place.
After I had solved all the problems,
I took out the book and read it.
I tried it on my phone.
Then I got a phone call.
We talked a little bit.
Then I told him that
I was a nun practicing in a temple.
I thought it was very interesting.
After reading that book,
Finding the Secret of the Mind,
I wanted to go to a Buddhist temple
and also go to Pháp Vương Tông.
But he didn't answer me.
He said that
he would take me to Vũng Tàu tomorrow
to meet these people
and they would answer me.
When I heard him answer,
I was very happy.
So he took me to Vũng Tàu tomorrow
and started to visit Pháp Vương Tông.
Other than the nuns who shared with me,
I felt that it was very wonderful.
After they shared,
they gave me a book,
a book about Pháp Vương Tông.
After I finished reading the first verse,
I couldn't read it anymore.
It was very touching.
As you said,
Pháp Vương Tông is very big.
Pháp Vương Tông of the universe.
When I say big,
I mean Pháp Vương Tông of Hatika,
Pháp Vương Tông of Jesus,
Pháp Vương Tông of Lao Tử,
Pháp Vương Tông of Confucius.
It was a little bit bigger.
But I didn't expect that
when I read the verse
that didn't contain anything,
I was very touched.
I couldn't read it anymore.
I had to stop for a while,
take a deep breath,
think for a while,
then I could read it again.
After I finished reading the first verse,
the second verse,
and the third verse,
it was two days.
After two days of reading Pháp,
I didn't feel anything.
Because I was so eager.
I read and read,
but I didn't understand anything.
After a while,
I decided to read it again.
I read it slowly.
I tried to understand it little by little.
Although I didn't understand it
with my knowledge,
I think at that time
my spirituality was opened.
Wherever I read,
I was touched.
I felt that
what I was looking for
from the past until now,
no one explained it to me.
Today, I was opened
in a very clear way.
I was able to understand
the truth of life
and why I was trapped
in the past.
In this book,
Master taught me
that in the four verses
of Tâm Đắc,
the transformation of karma
with the high mind,
when I read it,
I felt that
my life was flourishing.
It meant that I had a way to go.
In the past,
I didn't know which way to go.
Now I know
I have to go that way.
I know that if I go there right,
I will have such results.
Since then,
I decided to give up everything
to follow the Dharma,
to follow the Three Jewels.
In Buddhism,
the masters
often teach their disciples
to be kind,
to do good deeds,
to help others,
and to live in peace.
I think the Dharma
also teaches people like that.
But here,
I see that the Dharma
of the religions
also teaches people to be kind.
But there are not five Dharma
to change the whole.
The Dharma of the religions
only changes the spiritual problem.
So I see that the Dharma of the religions
has two things that I like.
One is the Dharma to transform the spirit
of people from bad people to good people.
The other is the Dharma to transform
the whole of people
from sick to not sick
to all sick people to practice.
I think the Dharma of the religions is very suitable.
So I choose the Dharma of the religions.
So when you choose to
practice the Dharma of the religions,
do the practitioners
have any reaction to you?
For the previous practitioners,
they did not practice the Dharma of the religions.
But when they practice
in Buddhism,
they see that there are negative things
that they do not like,
then they move to practice something else.
For example,
they go to the Dai,
or to the Mao,
or to other religions.
I don't know all of them.
But most of them are not in Buddhism anymore.
So the practitioners
who practice with them
will say that
this person has been cursed,
followed the religion,
followed the Dharma of the religions.
So I think that
if you go through the Dharma of the religions,
people will say that it is very hard to hear.
I know that if they know,
what will they say to me?
So for now,
in the new stage,
I will secretly practice
to become a good person,
a better person.
After that,
if people see anything good in me,
from then on,
I will practice more.
And today,
when I meet you,
I want to
introduce the Dharma
to people
who do not know the Dharma,
to introduce
the good things
of the Dharma,
so that people can come to the Dharma.
So during your practice,
what benefits did you get
from the Dharma?
I got a lot.
My mind is different
from the past.
For example, in the past,
no matter what people said to me,
I would not give up.
But today,
when I have the Dharma in me,
everything is good.
Everything that
comes into my life
is good.
And I also feel this.
In the past,
I also had back pain,
necrosis,
hot liver,
and many other things.
This Dharma is not easy to cure.
But I kept practicing
to improve my mind.
In general,
when I practice well,
everything that you teach
will naturally
be corrected.
So until today,
I don't feel any disease anymore.
All the bad things
are gone.
I feel that it's wonderful.
So until today,
what did you decide
on your path of practice?
When I didn't have the Dharma,
I was still in Buddhism.
After I was kicked out of the temple,
I was lost
in the middle of the life market.
I didn't know
where to go.
My path was blurry
and meaningless.
I felt very sad
and disappointed.
But after I met
Pháp Luân Công,
and after I knew
my master,
Master Lý Hồng Chí,
I was very
moved.
I decided
to follow
Pháp Luân Công.
I would like to
from the bottom of my heart
for your guidance
and guidance
to me
and to the Dharma.
I still know
you have sacrificed a lot
to help us.
We have created
so many lives
that we can't pay back.
You have helped us
just a little bit.
Now,
I would like to promise you
that I will try my best
to do what you have
instructed
so that we
can get
closer to you.
Now,
I know
how my path
and destination
are.
I sincerely thank you,
Master Pháp Luân Đại Pháp Hảo.
Dear friends,
the Dharma era
is the word
that is mentioned
the most
in Buddhist
and other religions
as well as in the texts.
Many people may not care about it,
but those who understand Buddhism
or the Buddhist language
will understand the deep meaning of this word.
A Buddhist
who is determined to practice the Dharma
like Master Trung
has realized the bitter truth
that there is no Dharma.
When everyone has entered the Dharma era,
even if Master Trung has traveled
all over the North Mountain,
there is no result
until there is a chance
to know the Dharma.
The path is to choose
and walk by yourself.
I wish Master Pháp Luân Đại Pháp Hảo
a successful journey on his path.
Thank you for watching.
See you again in our next videos.
