How to make Nikumaki-Onigiri (meat wrapped rice balls)〜肉巻きおにぎり〜 | easy Japanese home cooking recipe
In this video, I am showing how to make Nikumaki-Onigiri, a regional food of Miyazaki prefecture. It started as a street food but has earned to be a home dish in the recent years.
In my Channel, I show step by step of alternative but authentic Japanese home cooking, which can be made with the ingredients that are easily available outside of Japan.
Ingredients for Nikumaki-Onigiri
Rice 1/2 Cup
Sliced pork (or beef) 200 g
Salt & Pepper 1/2 Tsp each
Starch 2 Tbsp
Frying oil 1 Tsp
Sauce for Nikumaki-Onigiri:
- Soy sauce 2 Tbsp
- Sugar 1 Tbsp
- Sake 1 Tbsp
- Garlic 1 clove
- Ginger 5-10 g
- Chilli pepper (optional) 1/2-1 Tsp
