Vauxhall Corsa-E Better Than A Zoe In 1 Major Factor!

Welcome to today's video. Today's video I'm reviewing the Vauxhall Corsa E and there's
some things that other reviewers have said about this car that so far has been incorrect.
The battery in this car is a 50kWh usable battery with the batteries like I said spaced
all around the car but it's usable capacity is only 45kWh. Now this actually means that
you're getting a total range of about 190-200 miles world world range. If you're going to be
going on a motorway you're going to be seeing more like 170. Now the WLTP is nicely displayed
at the bottom because I can't remember off the top of my head. The car comes with 134bhp and
obviously being a European car it's front wheel drive which means obviously in the snow you've
got a little bit more traction a little bit more weight at the front with the motor and everything
here being traditionally in the front wheel drive car. Now as a lot of you may know that this car
is exactly the same. There is no difference in this car compared to the petrol or diesel
alternative. The only bits are a couple of key highlights all over the car that have just
scattered around so you can't tell it's an electric car. What's nice about the Vauxhall
is they can have two options you can either have factory paint on the top of the roof or you can
have what Luke's had on here which is absolutely stunning a black roof and it's metallic black
it's shiny as hell and it looks a lot better because it finishes the car if it just changes
the styling design and this is what I wish other manufacturers would do allow you just to
customise the car paint option just a little bit more. The Corsa E has an advantage over a lot of
electric cars and that is it's got very very fast rapid charging and the reason for this is it's got
100 kilowatt charging and the reason it can do 100 kilowatt charging is unlike other manufacturers
say a Nissan company they actually have firmly cooled batteries now unlike the Renault which
just blows a bit of cold air over the batteries this actually has a liquid that is liquid cooled
battery and that's why it can sustain quite high charge speeds for quite long lengths of time the
0-60 in this car is 8.1 seconds this car has quite a decent length it's that long it's got five seats
front and back now the seating position is quite low so if you have a bad hip or you don't like
low down cars and it's probably not for you it's size wise about the same size as a Zoe
the front passengers again about the same size as a Zoe rear passengers feels a little bit smaller
than a Renault Zoe but we're talking marginally but the seats means that if you're sat in the back
the passengers have a little bit more leg room under the seat in fact I'll show you
so when you're in the back of a Zoe if the seats are right to the back you've not got tremendous
leg room but this look there's there's plenty I can I can really lift my feet up and down so you
you've got plenty of height leg room but it does feel a little bit shorter and the reason I think
that is is this back is a little bit more upright than the Renault Zoe Renault Zoe is a bit more of
a slopey back so you are set up a little bit more upright in this some people may prefer that but
others may not again the boot very usable it's about the same size as a Renault Zoe about the
same size as a Nissan Leaf if anything it's a little bit smaller than the Zoe because it's
missing a little bit of depth but there's not much in it there's quite some room under here
where spare tyres would normally go but all you've got here is an emergency foam kit
there's nowhere really to put the cable bit like the Renault Zoe so Luke has got it in the back of
here it only comes standard with a type 2 to type 2 cable granny cable is extra but if you're buying
one of these new they do throw in a free home charger I hope you've enjoyed my Vauxhall Corsa
