耶路撒冷東面的橄欖山上，有座主祈禱文教堂。西元四世紀時，拜占庭的聖海倫娜皇太后，站在現在這個地方，預言：耶穌發表「主祈禱文」的神祕洞穴就在這裡！但是人們在主祈禱文教堂內，直到1910年才發現了這個神祕的洞穴。主祈禱文教堂因為擁有160多種文字所書寫的「主禱文」碑文，羅列在庭園週圍以及教堂內，所以稱為主祈禱文教堂。
On the Mount of Olives east of Jerusalem, there is the Church of the Lord's Prayer. 主祈禱文教堂的建立，是為了紀念西元30年左右，耶穌在北方-加里里地區，所提出的「主禱文」而建立的 (也有一種說法認為「主禱文」的提出，是在木橄欖山這個地方) 那個時候耶穌認為：人們向上帝祈禱的時候，都是為了自己本身的某些利益。耶穌認為這是不對的，他認為人與人之間應該互相幫助，因此他提出了主祈禱文的內容。大意是說信徒
之間要建立起天堂，也就是人與人之間和諧快樂的相處。要達到這個目的，首先就是要發揮上帝教導我們的德性，這其中包含了寬恕別人的罪惡、去除貪念知足常樂、然後才求自己的平安。

進入主祈禱文教堂的時候，可以看到主祈禱文教堂內，飄揚著法國國旗。這是因為在19世紀末期時，法國的Aurelie de Bossi公主，她特別喜歡主祈禱文的內容，還曾經把主祈禱文翻譯成39種不同的語言。後來她知道主祈禱文的提出，可能是在橄欖山上面的某一個洞穴之中，於是他參考了聖海倫娜皇太后，所指認的地方，並且把它買下來，在這裡開始尋找傳說中的洞穴，所以這個主祈禱文教堂當中飄揚的是法國的國旗。可惜公主盡其一生都沒發現。

When entering the Main Prayer Church, you can see the French flag flying in the Main Prayer Church. This is because at the end of the 19th century, the French Princess Aurelie de Bossi was particularly fond of the content of the Lord’s Prayer and translated the Lord’s Prayer into 39 different languages. Later she learned that the Lord's Prayer may have been uttered in a cave on the Mount of Olives, so he referred to the place identified by the Queen Mother St. Helena, bought it, and began to search for the legendary place here. The cave, so the French flag is flying in the main prayer church. It's a pity that the princess spent her entire life never finding out.
