A whopping 5 games were played yesterday, it was already such a small slate as it should
have been 7, but the Tigers and Reds hate fun and decided to reign, leaving us with
the poop game.
The Phillies hit 3 homers in the Battle of Pennsylvania, and the broadcast, as with all
of us, was so ready for Nick Castellanos to go deep to honor the death of OJ Simpson,
that when Brandon marched it a 2 yard homer, that when just over the wall and left center,
they had the graphics say Nick Castellanos hit it.
I honestly don't know what would have been funnier, if Castellanos actually hit a home
run, as he usually does soon after someone notable dies or something tragic happens,
or what actually happened this time, where someone else hit it, but the computer and
broadcast still registered it as a home run by Castellanos.
I don't think glitches like that ever happen.
This could have happened any other game at any moment this year so far, yet of course
it happens on the same day OJ Simpson is announced dead.
I'm honestly disappointed he didn't go deep for the meme, but this is probably the
next best thing to happen as a substitute.
Speaking of substitutes, the Red Sox could use some pitching substitutes.
Replace some of the ones they have with people who don't give up runs, that'd be cool.
I don't know what the state of Massachusetts or the city of Boston ever did to Colton Couser,
but oh my god this man played like the Red Sox killed his family and he was out for blood.
In this 3 game series, Couser drove in 10 runs on 6 hits, only one which was a single.
The rest were doubles or homers, with both of his homers, the first two he's hit this
year, coming in the final game where he hit one over the green monster and left and then
smacked a 3 run shot in the 10th after the Orioles had already scored 3.
He was like aww wait what's that you're down 3 now in extra?
Make that 6 punks.
In the bottom of the 9th, when the game was tied once upon a time, Reese McGuire got ejected
after a strike 3 call, but here's the catch, and no I'm not referring to him being a
catcher my puns aren't that stupid, the Red Sox didn't have anyone left on the bench.
Meaning they either needed to put an injured player out in the field, or have a pitcher
play a defensive position.
In other words, Alex Cora's stress levels just went up.
It would've made a lot of sense to not get ejected in that moment, but it's not like
this isn't the first time Reese McGuire didn't have good awareness of a situation
he was in.
Orioles sweep the dirty Sox.
The Mets salvaged the series in Atlanta, although salvaged makes it sound like they just got
by to win, no they straight up mercy ruled the Braves.
Making Blooper rethink his life, scoring 16 runs, yes a position player had to pitch,
an infielder who ironically wasn't met his whole career until now, and the moment he
goes to another team he's gotta pitch in a blowout against the Mets.
The Rangers got one hit against the A's on Thursday, losing the series.
One singular hit, literally, the one hit was a single by Adolis Garcia.
The A's pitched tremendously, I don't really understand this play, a pop up that landed
and ended up being made into a double play.
Now don't get me wrong, I am a very stupid person.
Not as dumb as Coleman Reese for thinking he could blackmail Batman, but I'm still
kind of dumb, so correct me if I'm wrong, but how is this not called an infield fly
roll by the umpires?
Are players allowed to just drop pop ups now with runners on base to get force outs?
That doesn't seem right.
I'll tell you what does seem right, you hitting the subscribe button if you enjoy these videos.
Just like Bobby Witt Jr. enjoyed the final game against the Astros in this series.
Going 4 for 5 with two homers, with the first one coming in a 9 run first inning the Royals
offense put up on Hunter Brown.
Ouch.
The A's win and obliterate the Astros while sweeping them in the process, rough week for
the Astros.
They lose the first game in extras, the Royals toyed around with them in that one before
just socking them in the nose two nights in a row to follow.
Back to everyone playing today, I'll see you later in my Big Otani video, stay tuned.
