There are a lot of different ways to score in baseball.
A lot of different ways you can get on first, and then even more ways you can circle the
bases and score.
Shout out to Foolish Baseball for posting this video on Twitter.
Interested me.
I said, five pitches.
Let me take a look.
That Bailey guy knows his stuff.
And this pitcher is going to speak to himself.
Talks to himself on the mound.
He figures out what he wants to do.
He tells it to himself.
He says, first pitch curveball.
For a strike.
Catcher says fastball.
He says no, dude.
He says slider.
No, dude.
Curveball.
First pitch.
First strike.
Can't you read my mind?
I even talked about it a little bit.
Bunt.
In play.
Ump says yes.
They say out.
Runner.
Parra didn't even run.
Because he's like, that was a foul ball.
Dave Martinez is going to come out.
He's going to start yelling.
Umpire's like, okay.
I'll check.
Don't get so mad at me so quick.
Take my hat off.
I'll be a respectable gentleman.
I'll ask my buddy.
He says, hey.
Is it a foul?
He says, yeah.
Okay.
Foul ball.
I talked to my friend.
He's smarter than me, and he knows.
It was a foul ball.
It's a good call.
So that's the first pitch of the inning.
A foul ball.
Goes for a strike in the book.
First pitch.
Curveball.
Four strike.
He got it.
Second pitch.
Curveball.
Back to back.
Hits him.
So Parra gets what he wants.
He just wanted to get the first base.
Now there's one out.
The pitcher is up behind him.
So he thinks he's got to get around the bases, and that's going to help him out.
That's a pass ball.
Wild pitch.
I don't know what they ruled it.
Probably wild pitch.
Seemed like he yanked it.
Now Parra's on second base.
After three pitches, he's taken off.
Going to third, and he gets in there.
So three pitches.
A strike.
Now we're at four pitches now.
A strike on the bunt.
Then a hit by pitch.
Then a pass ball.
A wild pitch.
Now a stolen base.
The catcher's going to turn to the ump, and I'm guessing he's going to ask him something
like, that wasn't a strike?
He says, yeah, I'm pretty sure, and the catcher goes, okay, if you say so.
Fifth pitch of the inning.
In the air.
The pitcher just throws the bat at it, puts it in play.
That's going to score the run.
Five pitches, and there goes the lead.
Not good.
Not good at all.
But a fun way to get a run in.
Snitger comes out and says, hey man, it was a great game up until all of that, but we
appreciate it nonetheless.
