SpaceX's Raptor completely HUMILIATED Blue Origin Engines!!
The Saturn 5, “America's pride”, the tallest, heaviest, and most powerful rocket ever flown successfully, once used over two million liters of kerosene (also known as RP-1) and oxidizer LOX (liquid oxygen) – almost enough to fill a 50m Olympic pool to carry Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins to the Moon.
But after more than half a century of heavy, dirty, and complex fuels taking us to space, there’s been a shift thanks to the new titans of spaceflight.
And now, we are witnessing the arrival of a new generation of rockets - rockets powered by methane engines!
The two biggest boys for this race are none other than SpaceX Raptor and Blue Origin BE-4.
However, SpaceX's Raptor seems to surpass Blue Origin Engines from the beginning!
How and Why?

With fairly different designs and wildly different development philosophies, the paths of Blue Origin and SpaceX have only gotten further apart over the last few years.
The development process of the Raptor engine itself can be regarded as an engineering miracle within the industry. Its speed and frequent iterations are beyond the reach of competitors.
Relative to almost any other large-scale engine development program in the last half-century.
Producing seven Raptor 2 engines per week is an extraordinary achievement!

In addition, SpaceX also built a second production facility for Raptor engines. The facility is located near an existing rocket engine test facility in South Texas. The new facility eventually produces 800 to 1,000 rocket engines each year. SpaceX aims to fly the Raptor 1,000 times in its lifetime. SpaceX plans to mass produce up to 500 Raptor engines a year. Each Starship booster will use 33 sea-level Raptors, and each Starship spacecraft will use three sea-level Raptors and three vacuum-optimized Raptors.
