US President Joe Biden has taken to X to congratulate Donald Trump on his “great” golfing victories.
President Biden re-shared Trump's post on Truth Social where the former US president wrote about his golfing wins.
“It is my great honor to be at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach tonight, AWARDS NIGHT, to receive THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY & THE SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY,” Mr Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump went on to say in the post, that it was “a GREAT and difficult course” with some “amazing match play”.
President Biden then tweeted: “Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment”.
Donald Trump celebrating a big win today,
not in the election, not even in court,
but on the golf course.
He's taken out, apparently,
two club championship trophies at his Trump
International Golf Club in Florida,
posting on social media that it was a great
and difficult course with some amazing match play.
His presidential opponent, Joe Biden,
then tweeted, congratulations, Donald.
Quite the accomplishment.
I'm sure it was totally legitimate.
Kieran, your trophy cabinet's pretty full,
but you don't have your own golf course.
What do you reckon,
how would the spotters have been at this course?
Well, you know.
Any pressure to, oh, here's the Strixen,
and just pop it in the middle there?
Exactly, for the people who are watching
who are not into golf, when you take a putt
and don't finish the hole, it's called a gimme.
And I've heard and read that Donald Trump's gimmes
are about three meters.
So we just pick it up.
It's one-on-one, and he could say,
well, you give me that, and you look up at him,
and you go, ah, sure, Mr. President Trump.
Mr. President, sorry.
I wonder if you have these guys' gimmes where.
I reckon they were pretty big.
