「廣納百川」展覽 第一期︰明至清初篇 "Artistic Confluence in Guangdong" exhibition (Phase I: Ming to Early Qing)
明清廣東書畫是久經蘊釀所形成的獨特嶺南文化的一部分。當時的嶺南文化精英對新思想和知識具有容納百川的廣闊胸襟，吸收了京師與江南等地的學術思想、士人文化與書畫藝術，創作富廣東特色的作品。「廣納百川：明至清中期廣東書畫選（香港中文大學文物館藏品）」【第一期︰明至清初篇】展出陳獻章、林良、張穆、陳恭尹等明清名家書畫，讓大家從文物重新認識廣東歷史、文化和藝術。
Guangdong painting and calligraphy of the Ming and Qing dynasties is part of the unique Lingnan culture that has been nurtured over time. The Lingnan cultural elite were open-minded, absorbing the arts and culture of various regions and creating unique works. The exhibition “Artistic Confluence in Guangdong: Selected Painting and Calligraphy from Ming to Mid-Qing China (Collection of the Art Museum, CUHK)” (Phase I: Ming to Early Qing) features paintings, calligraphy, and objects by well-known artists during the Ming and Qing dynasties such as Chen Xianzhang, Lin Liang, Zhang Mu and Chen Gongyin. The Lingnan story told through the cultural relics titillates us to rethink the history, culture and arts of Guangdong.
