Poems From Festival Of Books, Part 1 #gooddeedsintroubledtimes
People drew a random word related to Gan Jing World’s mission from a Word Jar and wrote a poem about it! The Tucson Festival of Books was held from March 9 to 10, 2024. #sunshinestateofmindaz #kindnessiscool
My name is Catherine. I'm a student at the University of Arizona studying political science.
And the word that I ended up getting was trust.
And the poem I wrote is,
Of all the breakable things in the world,
Trust may be broken only once and never again repaired.
Can you explain that a little bit?
Once you betray someone's trust, you can never really fix it completely.
Okay, my name is Denise Johnson. I've been a teacher for about,
Oh, since dinosaurs roamed the earth, basically.
37 years, I think.
I am currently teaching fifth grade and loving it.
It's a great age level.
And I teach in a small rural school called Wilcox.
Which word did you pick?
Art.
I like art. I think it's smart.
I do art. It's smart.
Short, sweet, and to the point.
