SpaceX did something never done before: Four rockets in action!
It's truly an extraordinary sight! Four rockets poised on the launch pad simultaneously—it's almost surreal. But believe it or not, this remarkable feat is indeed happening, courtesy of SpaceX. It's not a dream; it's the reality of SpaceX's ambitious endeavors pushing the boundaries of space exploration.
Four rockets, with three Falcon 9 and one Starship, were placed vertically on SpaceX's four operating launch pads on February 14, including two launch pads in Florida, one in California, and the Starship launch pad in Starbase, Texas. This isn't just a fleeting occurrence; it's a clear indication of SpaceX's unwavering commitment to maximizing its resources for an explosive 2024. With an audacious objective of 148 flights, SpaceX is poised to redefine the realm of space exploration in the upcoming year.
This milestone was immediately announced on X by SpaceX. And to make everything even more impressive, the founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk also reposted these images with the tweet: “Four rockets on their launch pads simultaneously”.
Firstly, we will come to SLC-40 in Florida, the launch pad of the Falcon 9 with the payload launch mission of the U.S. Space Force. This mission is part of the National Security Space Launch Phase 2 launch contract that SpaceX received in 2020. It launched at around 17:30 ETC on the same day and then the booster landed safely at Landing Zone 2. After success, SpaceX leader, Gwynne Shotwell also expressed her feelings with a tweet: "A (heart)felt thank you to the @SpaceForceDoD for entrusting SpaceX with today's mission!"
