Hello, friends! For the last two weeks I've been working on a little dream project of mine, a miniature reading nook to decorate my bookshelves and complement my ever-growing book collection. I spent a lot of time designing and hand-crafting every tiny piece, putting together the clay panels for the little fireplace, painting the tiny bookcovers and wensen crocheting a little carpet! I love how this primacy worked out and I'm so excited to show you every step of the process! Make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy with me this exciting creative journey 😊

07:06 Let's assemble together the mini reading nook!

All the pieces of the miniature reading nook:
The back and side panels were made from images downloaded from Unsplash, a free high-resolution photo community. Credits for the images to Eilis Garvey, Ivan Tejero and mana5280.
The mini fireplace has a cardboard base and clay panelling painted with acrylics. The 3D fire is painted with watercolors and cut from watercolor paper.
The chair has a foam base covered with lace and fabric. The chair feet are made of cardboard.
The carpet has been crocheted, with a white pompom stripe hand-sewn to two of its sides.
The small books have been made of old book pages and painted watercolor paper for the cover. The pages have been bound with a needle and a thread, and the hard cover has been glued with hot glue.
The tiny paintings are hand-painted with acrylics + I also added cute polimer clay frames.
The paper scrolls are made of old book pages, bound with a golden thread.
The additional items like a small vase, tiny bottles with herbs, father-clock, and amethyst mushroom are thrifted from the local flee market:)
