Rep. Hammond on the Family Farms Preservation Act

Deputy Republican Leader Norine Hammond (R-Macomb) joined her colleagues and the Illinois Farm Bureau in support of the Family Farms Preservation Act. HB 4600 increases Illinois’ estate tax exclusion amount to $6 million to help family farmers pass their farmland on to the next generation, protecting family farms from being sold off to large corporate or foreign interests.
