The hH-60W Jolly Hulk 2, a new combat rescue helicopter, has begun operational testing at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, according to the AIR Force.The last HH-60W departed Duke Field, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, on March 22, concluding preliminary development tests with the 413th Flight Test Squadron, according to a March 30, 2022 AIR Force press release.The operational test and evaluation phase of the helicopter will be handled by the 88th Test and Evaluation Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base, which specializes in combat search-and-rescue functions.
The Taiwan Air Force also expressed its intention to purchase five HH-60W combat search and rescue helicopters, which were newly developed by the US, to strengthen the air force's night search and rescue capability, but the PRICE offered by the US was "shocking".The Taiwanese air Force has therefore decided not to buy a new night search helicopter, but to retrofit its existing UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter for night search and rescue missions.

據美國空軍消息，新型戰鬥救援直升機HH-60W“歡樂綠巨人2”已經在內華達州內利斯空軍基地開始進入運行測試階段。2022年3月30日，美國空軍發佈的新聞稿表示，最後一架HH-60W於3月22日離開佛羅里達州埃格林空軍基地的杜克機場，結束了在第413飛行測試中隊的初步開發測試。該直升機的運行測試和評估階段將由內利斯空軍基地的第88測試評估中隊負責，該中隊專門負責戰鬥搜索營救功能相關的工作。
臺灣空軍之前也表態，爲強化空軍夜間搜救能力，有意購買5架美國最新研製的HH-60W戰鬥搜救直升機，但美方的報價高到“嚇壞人”。因此，臺空軍決定，不買新型夜搜直升機，而是決定將現有的UH-60M“黑鷹”直升機進行結構改造，以執行夜間搜救任務。
