Hello everyone, welcome to FengYun. I am Yuxuan.
Today I would like to talk with you about
the EU and the US tightening the quota of international students
and restricting students from studying sensitive technology.
Chinese students are banned from entering the United States
and questioned whether they are CCP members.
The Beijing street scene is too shocking.
China and the South China Sea are in danger.
Everywhere in China is dry wood, waiting for fire.
Recently, the EU and the US have launched a series of measures to tighten the quota of international students or immigrants.
In order to prevent sensitive technology from leaking into the hands of the CCP,
they have strengthened the security review of international students in China,
and refused to issue visas to students suspected of espionage.
Because it is easy to obtain work permits in Canada,
Canada is a popular place for international students to study.
However, the increase in international students has led to a serious shortage of apartments.
In December last year, Canada's national rent increased by 7.7%.
On January 22, Canada announced that this year and next year will limit the quota of international students.
Last year, Canada issued nearly 1 million student visas,
and this year's number of visas is only 36.4 million.
Canada will also restrict foreign students' work permits.
Students who have a master's or doctorate degree will be eligible for a three-year work permit.
Students who have a master's or doctorate degree will no longer be eligible for visa permits.
Professor Shen Rongqing of the University of York in Canada said,
this is not directly targeted at Chinese students.
Because in Canada, the number of Chinese students is not the highest,
but the number of Indian students is the highest.
This reflects that the Canadian Liberal Party government may be preparing for the next general election.
In order to appease the resentment caused by the increase in rent,
he made such a regulation.
He believes that most universities do not like such measures,
because international students have always been an important source of income for universities.
They usually have to pay two to three times the tuition,
especially a lot of doctoral students' jobs.
It's hard to find someone else to do it.
A Canadian international student, Tan Wen, is graduating this year.
He said, the school has been emphasizing security.
The most obvious time was a few years ago.
A Chinese international student seemed to have taken some experimental data back home from a university in the United States.
During that time, the school has been sending us emails,
emphasizing national security and what to do.
Recently, a Chinese student named Li Ruikang
was admitted to the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University.
But the visa application was rejected by the immigration officer.
He appealed to the federal court.
The judge ruled that the Canadian government was angry.
The reason is that this student may conduct espionage activities.
For this ruling, Professor Shen Rongqing said,
the government is actually using this method
to restrict the transfer of more critical and sensitive technology to China.
At the same time, he sent a signal to the University of Canada.
If you allow Chinese students to study in critical areas,
you have to be more careful.
He believes that the ruling of the federal court is significant.
Because traditionally, if you want to identify a person as a spy,
it must be based on whether he has collected information and other espionage activities.
Now the federal court has decided
that the government has the right to refuse to issue visas to students suspected of espionage.
For Western countries, this is a major change.
Recently, the UK also tightened its immigration policy.
On December 4, the British government announced the most severe immigration policy in US history,
including raising the salary threshold for working visas,
raising the original 26,200 pounds to 38,700 pounds,
cancelling the right for international students to carry their families,
and paying higher medical expenses for immigrants, etc.
Last year, the number of recent immigrants in the UK reached a record of 74.5 million people.
The top three are India, Nigeria and China.
If the new measures are applied last year,
the number of immigrants can be reduced to 300,000.
Regarding the tightening measures in the UK,
Chinese student Zhang Yu, who studied in the UK, said,
There may be two aspects to the influence of foreign students.
One is that this student was admitted to school,
but he can't get a visa.
The other is that he can't stay in the UK after graduation.
Analysts pointed out that Chinese students who have been deceived by the CCP
will not only bring safety threats to Western countries,
but also interfere with the academic freedom, freedom of speech, and even freedom of religion of the university.
During the anti-extradition movement in Hong Kong,
there was a fierce confrontation between
little pink students and students who supported Hong Kong
in the campus of the University of London.
U.S. senators warned Chinese students
not to be used by the CCP as a national political tool.
Under the long-term brainwashing of the CCP,
little pink often confused China with the CCP,
and mistook the CCP for China.
Some Chinese students have been influenced by the CCP's patriotism for many years.
In fact, they really love China, not the CCP.
They said,
WeChat's influence overseas is particularly eye-catching.
Most students use WeChat.
Most of their information comes from WeChat.
So most Chinese students, although living abroad,
are not really integrated into Western ideas and culture,
and even have a hostility to Western countries.
At the same time, the situation in Sino-US politics is tense,
and the academic cooperation between the two countries is also weakened.
Since 2020,
the U.S. government has been refusing to issue visas
to CCP-related military projects.
According to the U.S. Higher Education Times,
in the summer of 2022,
the number of visas issued to Chinese students in the United States
decreased by about 45% in the same period as in 2021.
At the end of last year,
Florida reported that
it did not issue admission notices to students
from seven countries including China.
Recently,
the U.S. Airport has increased censorship and reviews of Chinese students entering the country.
Many Chinese students who study sensitive technology
have even been repatriated and banned from entering the country.
On January 29,
the CCP reported itself at the U.S. Embassy.
Many Chinese students
were detained at the Washington-Duluth International Airport.
Chinese student Li Mou
went to the University of Maryland in January last year
for a doctorate in computer science.
When he arrived at the Washington-Duluth Airport,
he was questioned by U.S. law enforcement officers in a small black room.
The U.S. law enforcement officers not only checked Li Mou's mobile phone,
computer and other electronic products,
but also repeatedly questioned whether Li Mou and his family
were members of the Communist Party or members of the Communist Youth League.
In 2020,
the U.S. Immigration Bureau stipulated
that all members of the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations
who apply for immigration will not receive benefits.
In fact,
the U.S. Immigration and International Law
used to have similar regulations,
but they were very relaxed in implementation.
The independent author Zhu Gengyang said,
the U.S. approach is based on the anti-Communist stance.
From Trump's administration to the present,
the U.S. Central Committee is increasingly clarifying the relationship between the CCP and China
and has begun to take more measures
to restrict CCP members from emigrating to the United States.
As early as a few years ago,
the U.S. Embassy
asked Chinese citizens applying for U.S. visas
whether they had participated in or helped give birth to women
and whether they had participated in organ transplantation.
On the 26th,
netizen Wang Yizui
posted a video on the X platform
and tweeted,
Beijing Jingsong Street High-Priced Purchasing Blood
Attracted Attention
The video shows
outside the Beijing Zhaoyang District Jingsong Street Service Center
a long line of troops,
about nearly a hundred people.
Everyone is wearing thick coats,
slowly moving forward with the team.
The man in the video explained,
this is all blood.
As can be seen from the video,
there is a blood transfusion car parked in the service center yard.
The man explained,
selling 200 cc of blood for 800 yuan,
300 cc for 1,200 yuan.
Netizens are discussing,
some say that those who are hospitalized for major surgery
have to find blood sources themselves,
so they have to find a solution for these blood sellers.
Some also say that
there are so many poor people now.
The Beijing Youth Daily reported earlier
that a reporter found a long blood donation bill
on a bus station in Beijing.
They are organized internally,
and each link is managed by someone.
Those who advertise,
those who take people to the hospital, etc.
A reporter who is responsible for taking people to the hospital told the reporter,
he will get 200 yuan in advance.
As far as I know,
patients who need a lot of blood
and their families
will find blood through street advertisements,
and then determine the amount and price of blood.
In the past, the main source of blood
was mostly workers and students.
Now more unemployed people
have also joined the blood selling team.
The main reason they donate blood
is lack of money.
The people have no money.
And those corrupt officials have huge wealth.
The CCP's entire government system
is currently facing serious financial problems.
There is a huge deficit and debt.
Therefore, the CCP authorities
use various ways to grab money,
and dig money out of these corrupt officials
to solve the problem of their lack of money.
And the CCP officials
will not give up their interests,
and will not sit idly by.
The current situation of the CCP is very strange.
On the surface, it seems calm,
but it may cause a tornado at any time.
The possibility of a tornado is getting bigger and bigger.
And Xi Jinping is also facing another crisis.
Recently, Wang Chuan Xi Jinping may have a one-line cancer.
Let's not say if this rumor is true or not.
Whether a person's body is healthy
can be seen from his facial expression
and the way he raises his head.
Xi's head always tilts to one side,
and he often wobbles involuntarily.
In March 2019, Xi Jinping visited France.
He walked slowly when he was in the medical team,
and seemed unable to spread his legs.
When attending a press conference,
it was very difficult for Xi to sit down and get up.
He needs to hold the chair by hand to support his body.
Commentator Wang Youqun thinks
that Xi's physical condition should be expected.
He said, although Xi said that when he was in his infancy,
he carried 200 catties of wheat and walked ten miles of mountain roads without changing his shoulders,
and his body was very good.
But today, what Xi carries on his shoulders
is not 200 catties of wheat,
but four mountains.
All the problems that have been left behind
in Mao Zedong's era, Deng Xiaoping's era,
Jiang Zemin's era,
and all the problems that Xi has accumulated
in the past 11 years.
No matter how strong Xi is,
he can't carry these four mountains.
Chinese scholar Li Hengqing said,
all the changes in history are accidental.
The situation in China may be obvious.
Now everywhere is dry wood,
waiting for fire.
Okay, that's all for today.
