ORGANISING MY NEW WALK IN CLOSET | Suzie Bonaldi

good morning welcome back to a new Vlog just got back off of a walk done my makeup done my hair a new adanola order has just arrived today is a good day actually today is a great day because I just feel like this is wonky you're propped up on toilet roll just out here breaking the illusion this is not a professional setup you are propped up on toilet roll yeah today is a great day because half of my wardrobe has a wardrobe system in it now so today is the first day that we can kind of start putting stuff in it styling it up I'm really excited I have to say I got this IKEA system and I've been so excited to have it in the wardrobe room and I started off just by ordering half because I just wanted to see how we got on with it if I actually needed more or less I wasn't really sure it's been a bit of a batch to put together so now I am not sure that the other half of the room will be having the same system so yeah this is going to be interesting to be honest I might switch around my plans for the room a little bit I'm actually thinking of having like a wardrobe system one side and then having a little podcast area the other side I think that could be really nice up until we finally get like full permanent wardrobe in that room but my wardrobe budget has now become my wedding budget so so we will not be doing that anytime soon but it's all good anyway let let me show you what we're working with and before anyone says it yes the room of Doom has basically just doubled in size it's still it's still a chaotic mess very on brand for me really stunning this side is looking a little better we also have a huge rail over here which looks like it has a dust sheet on it these are actually going to be the curtains for this room those are going in tomorrow my lovely dad has just spent days here in the house I think he's still got another couple of days to do bless him there's just so much that needs doing right now I'm very very grateful for him so we have really got our work cut out for us so today I'm going to organize some of my clothes I'm going to try and get as much done in here as possible normally I would spend a good few days on this just very solidly working through it annoyingly I have to go to a meeting tomorrow and it's in London in the middle of the day so this might have to happen kind of sporadically over the course of the week and we'll just have to like dip in and out but I'm going to do my best today to get some things on the rail and to get things like lovely and organized I'm really excited so let me show you this properly so this is the alvari setup from Ikea it looks a lot nicer in real life than it does on the camera on the camera it's just well it's very dark in here so yeah on camera it's not looking as Fab as it does in real life but I'm really excited about it because it's got drawers stunning thanks Dad yeah we have so many drawers which is so nice so I should be able to get a lot of my sweats in here most of my sweats are somewhere over here in one of these boxes so that's going to be amazing and then hopefully will be able to do some little display bags and shoes on the top we've got a decent amount of hanging space like this would definitely be more than enough for most people we'll see how I got on because we do have a full rail opposite this rail that has just so many events dresses and stuff like that on but I'm going to do my best to kind of organize as much as physically possible today like I really need to sort the space out over here I think I might need some shelving for shoes and things I'm going to see how much I can get I forgot to show you there's shelves up here as well so I'm going to see how much I can get up there as well do you know what I have a real issue with by the way and I would love to know what you guys do especially if you have bought like nice pairs of shoes or bags or things like that I often keep the boxes just in case of resale or it's just handy when you're moving as well if you want to make sure you've got like a delicate pair of shoes and you don't want them to get damaged outside of the those two occasions I have a lot of boxes and the corresponding bags that the boxes go in and the shoes that go in the boxes go in am I being silly by keeping it all like I can't tell and if people were to buy the shoes of me would they even care that it didn't come with the box I have to say I do like it when something comes with its box but what do you do with these things when you're storing them I would love to know please please let me know but anyway I'm very excited to get cracking with this today I'm also going to have a little clear out of my wardrobe downstairs as well because the majority of my things are still in my wardrobe downstairs and I've just been trying to make do with that and then this rail has been mostly for coats and events wear all my bags are also in the wardrobe downstairs or like I would say 90% of my bags are in the wardrobe downstairs so that's also being a bit tricky it's just taking up a lot of space so everything needs a good reig so maybe we should start with downstairs and then we'll work our way up and then we'll work our way over to the pile of Doom which is not helped by the fact that I still have that giant ottoman thing which I was going to get rid of and then my family talked me out of getting rid of it and said it would be good temporarily in this room but the chairs have already arrived they were going to go in this place and I should have just got rid of it 2 months ago because actually it's taken so long to get this room sorted that you can't even see that there's an Osan underneath all of this stuff and it's just making the situation look way worse anyway I've talked for 6 minutes about what a chaotic hot mess this room is so I think it's about time that we cracked and actually did some stuff today I've actually decided I'm going to hold myself accountable we're doing a before and after ignore my dad's tools but we are doing a before and after this is the before this is the before I have a call at half two but apart from that we are going to plow on with this and by end of day this room is no longer allowed to look like this anymore we are holding me accountable and I need to work and I need to work fast we are going to do a clear out and take stuff upstairs at the same time I giving myself less than 15 minutes to do this oh and I've also remembered I've got a video going live today so I have a mammoth info box to do so we need to work even faster than I thought so keep me in your thoughts and prayers okay let's start with the clear out haven't one this this is too cropped I'm not sure on this this clear out is going very badly there's nothing I want to clear out maybe I need to think about what I want to stay in this wardrobe I don't know I don't know what the system should be these jackets are dressier so I think they should go up stairs I caved and bought this immedia influenced me when does she ever not I had another Gile from Zara and I never wear it because it's cropped and it looks so weird with a hoodie but this one looked so nice and comfy on her and it's perfect for if you're wearing like an actual long hoodie because it's long and it's so nice and comfy and cozy so perfect for like walks once we come out of winter and we're in like the in between Seasons this is going to be amazing so I think this should stay in in that wardrobe because I think this wardrobe should be like my everyday stuff like full of my skims actually maybe full of like my adanola sweats some nice plain knitwear maybe that's the vibe for down here and like jeans maybe I don't I don't know but equally I don't want to take everything upstairs and then there's nothing down here and there's too much up there so there needs to I need to figure out a system let's start by taking the bags off maybe I'll keep like half hats and gloves and stuff down in this one I think I'm going to put that in storage I'm going to get rid of this okay now we're being rless this is better that needs to go in storage these can go upstairs and these can go upstairs these also going to get rid of these cuz I have not been wearing those it's kind of getting to that point where it gets worse before it gets better going through this what I want to do is keep this wardrobe down here as more of a capsule wardrobe of things that I'm really really wearing a lot so I think I'm going to take the majority of things upstairs and then I can pick select outfits to bring back down here and have in this wardrobe I also think I might do like my most used coats in this wardrobe but they they're puffy and then the doors don't shut properly cuz I think this is going to be a work in progress but I'm going to take a lot of stuff upstairs just so we can make a start I have too many things and this is why I'm putting myself on a mini spending band those can go upstairs you know it's bad when you've got like like three different sets of things hanging on one hanger going to keep those down here those are going to go jeans you can stay these need to go H Cooper jeans those can stay oh my God so many jeans what is happening C jeans they can stay coopa jeans they can stay I'm going to get rid of this pair of Zara jeans cuz I haven't worn those we need to take these upstairs cuz these are getting crushed in my wardrobe down here okay this is better now we're moving on to knitwear this is from and Other Stories I love this this is staying we've got this is from H&M it's actually really nice haven't worn it so I need to make a point of wearing that cute little mango top but I haven't worn yet so going to hang that and make a point of wearing it PA jumper love this that can stay this I literally never wear because the neck on it is too high for me I have no neck I don't know why I buy high neck so that can go what is this oh this is a really nice midi dress going to hang that so I remember to wear it cashmir knit I can't wait to start wearing all of this stuff I've been saving some really good outfits because I still haven't got my mirror back from Ryan so I can't do outfit content so I've just basically been like not wearing anything fun and just sitting on some really good outfits that I can't wait to wear so I'm hoping I'll get to wear some more of these things very soon this is my totem jumo which I wear all the time and I love we keep that cashmere n so many cashmir nits wow oh cute little jumper dress okay we can keep that oh this little I love this I need to get a hanger for this this needs to be hung up I find if I don't hang things I just don't end up wearing them unless they're like an actual piece of active wear or or a big knit or something like that I never end up wearing the stuff just gets lost okay cute navy cashmere knit that's all good so many t-shirts yeah they're nice oh my God I love this I need to make sure I wear this more this is so handy if you like walking and you wear like a lot of black tops like this one just throw this kind of little sleeveless chunky net over the top and it's so good for wearing with a coat cuz you don't have the heavy Bunchy arms I literally hate that so much it makes me rage last couple of knits what have we got so we've got a high neck black knit very similar to my toe one this is an old Top Shop one I think I'm going to part ways with that cuz there's no point in having two of the same thing oh I love this this was a I think Mis yeah misguided this was a misguided jumper very similar to the totem knit but with a slightly shorter collar which I love I'm actually going to keep this cuz that's a really good neck neck height on me and then it's got almost like a I I can't describe it it kind of goes like quite wide rounded shape on the bottom so it's like wider but then it comes in a little bit and I just find it really flattering like you it means you can roll it off and sit it on your hips so nice anyway you don't care you can't buy it now it's out of stock but yeah I'm going to keep that I actually I think that's a good little clear out my bed is like an actual hot mess right now but it's fine cuz we've cleared things out the dog looks scared of me she's like mommy's gone mad hasn't she probably the line from Harry Potter that I quote the most great okay looks so much cleaner in there okay where do I start oh my God this is so [Music] heavy [Music] this has reminded me that I have an adanola order sitting here that I need I need to try on I have so patiently waited for this to come back into stock normally I lose Patience by this point but I kept checking and checking and you guys the the burgundy the burgundy sets are back in stock I'm obsessed so we have the sweatshirt they have the tracky buttons matching tracky buttons and then they also have the workout set which is what I was dying for from the beginning but I decided that I should just get the full shebang so I can mix and match you know like sweatshirt leggings tracksuit buttons tank top tank top leggings you know the drill you know how to get dressed oh my gosh stunning yeah we're going to have to try these on oh this is such a nice color it's like it's not brown it's just such a lovely burgundy I love I love let's try this on we need I need a brief intermission from the room of Doom not that I am leaving the room of Doom I just need to not fold clothes for 5 minutes cuz I have been here for what feels like an eternity it's very satisfying though I have to say w oh so nice so nice and everything is fitting in here phenomenally well considering like how little is downstairs in my wardrobe now and I'm clearing out like this I'm actually clearing out as I go there's things that I'm like oh I don't even want to fold that up and put that in the drawer so it's actually good normally the rule is like when you start clearing out your wardrobe take everything out because I had a blank space that's kind of what this is everything is just in boxes or like on a storage rail but I'm still kind of getting everything out so yeah so the tracksuit bottom I got in a size extra small because adanola are so generous with their sizing on trackies and like sweats so I got these in an extra small and they fit really well they are long on the leg but that is just that is just my life the top sorry I am wading three bags the top I got in a small because their tops are usually very tight on me and very fit Ed but they must have changed the sizing because I got a small which is my regular size and I just don't feel like I'm filling this that well I feel like there's gaping here which I have like other versions of this top like in different colors but the same fit and they don't normally do this to me so yeah I don't I don't know I don't know what to do but I don't know whether to see how I go because actually it's not it's not that noticeable it's just because I have other ones that fit tighter but if I didn't have my other ones I would think this is fine so maybe it's fine then we also have sweatshirt which I've been so excited about their sweatshirts are my favorites so I got this in a size small I have one in a medium which is I would say too big and then I have one in an extra small but I wear it with shorts so that's fine but when I wear things with leggings and stuff and just in the winter I want baggier this is actually I think their sizing has gotten more generous but this colorway is just slightly more generous in its sizing I would definitely size down if you don't want things to be super super baggy but this is quite nice I think with the leggings as well this will be especially nice or do we think it's too baggy let me know what you guys think also sorry there's just not enough space in the room for me to give you like a full view of this I just I don't have enough room unless you want the light to be really really dodgy which we don't want cuz then you can't see the clothes anyway I'm going to put the leggings on hang on the leggings are so nice they fit as per usual I got these in a size size small which is my regular size in Adon NOA leggings I find the extra small is just like it fits fine but like it's just a little bit too much around here whereas these just have like a little bit of room the food but not too much room that it's like gapy you know but if you're in between sizes you really can't go wrong cuz they are so so stretchy one of my friends oh my God there's so many tags oh I'm being stabbed one of my friends she's actually not an influencer but she wears loads of adanola she actually has a slightly bigger measurement than me but she'll wear the extra small and it's really comfy on her so you can definitely size down if you want to I just like to have a little bit of I just like to have a little bit of give you know this is the top and the leggings I love them just such a nice color I don't know about you but I think this was worth the wait okay it's going back on not me changing my outfit halfway through the Vlog oh so comfy I swear their sweatshirts have actually got more comfortable and I didn't think that was possible but I love done it's getting a bit dark that's how long I've been doing this wardrobe room of Doom clear out for we didn't even get onto the funit which is the shelves just takes forever it does look really good though I took the time to make sure all of the hangers were all the same style of hanger and I folded everything super neatly into the drawers that is so satisfying like ridiculously satisfying so this side is looking like this this side looks like this stunning good morning everybody today it is Friday I'm actually not meant to be vlogging today for this Vlog I was meant to finish this Vlog yesterday however I had a slight disaster with my meetings I was meant to Vlog my day in London come home early continue with organizing what I'm going to call by the way is the room of requirement because on Wednesday I uploaded my what video was it I think it was my girls trip video and so many of you said that I should call the room upstairs the room of requirement because basically it's still the room of Doom it's just doubled in size and I was peeing absolutely peeing honestly so that is what the room is now going to be called it's going to be called the room of requirement because also it's kind of funny cuz the things just kind of happen up there like shelves just pop up and I have absolutely nothing to do with it so it's basically like playing Hogwarts Legacy and the room requirement just does things for you and I'm just yeah thank you to those that commented that because a star work guys a star I feel like we're all each other's people here you know but anyway so I didn't get a chance to do anything yesterday because at the last dying second I was ready for my meeting I was early I got up early I hot girl walked I was on time everything was going great I was like okay I just need to like pack my bag and like pick an outfit and I've got like a whole what was it half an hour 20 minutes my train got cancelled and the only earlier train that I could get without being late for my meeting and the person I was meeting with had no wiggle room that day I had 5 minutes to get out of the house and get to the station and I literally I was in my adanola sweats and I just had to leave the house immediately like throw some things in a bag and leave the house and then travel within London was also dire yesterday so I ended up walking from the Strand back to Victoria Station which takes a little while so I didn't get back until it was dark and yeah I cracked on a little bit upstairs but I didn't I didn't get as far as I would have liked but I will show you today where we've gotten to and hopefully we'll get a little bit of time to do some bits this morning again been up at the crack of dawn because today we're actually going to Liverpool that's a whole separate Vlog that is a whole separate Vlog so I got up before the sun was up which actually is January it's not that early no 5:00 a.m. is over here but I got up nice and early so that we could spend some time in the room of requirement together so let's go let's see if it's doubled in size again today that would be nice wouldn't it okay look we have curtains they need a steam I actually need to stop pointing out all of the things that are wrong but I am aware they do need a steam it's so the light is so nice in here so we get Morning Light got afternoon light we get evening light over this side the chairs the chairs are in the room I still need to sort my shoes and we have the original rail over here which just about fits perfectly we're going to unwrap these in a second second my mirror has made it back from Ryan's he also brought me one of his Ikea Mal sets of drawers which I think for the time being I'm going to put my shoes in and then it looks so good I'm so happy with it obviously once all the boxes and everything are gone it will look so much better but I'm so so happy with this it is stunning oh my gosh I cannot wait until I've got all this crap out of here and I can just like get to work this is going to be the cutest like Tik Tok back backg ground selfie sport I'm so excited so all of these boxes here just need to be broken down and they need to go away after I said earlier in the Vlog like what do I do with all of these like shoe boxes bag boxes I made an executive decision I was going to just keep the duster bag and the authentication card and like the bits and put each bit in the duster bag but I'm going to like part ways with the boxes because I do not have this much room I wish I had this much room it would be iconic but the room of requirement would need to double in size again and I don't I don't think I'm not magical you guys so then I've got a few things that I need to store cardboard that needs to go I've got a few bits down there that need to be sold as well so just a few little AB mini bits but I'm really happy that we've got all of this done now because actually it's made me realize that I definitely need long hanging storage so that's why the rail hasn't gone away did I think this through no however what I'm going to do is buy you can buy all of the bits for this shelving separately so what I'm going to do is buy the the poles so I'm going to buy the vertical poles and then the horizontal clothes rail poles and I'm going to get another double set so not the full three I think just the two put it where that rail is over there I think we're going to have one rail for long hanging and then I'm actually going to have the second one for Ikea do these slanted shelves for shoes and that is something that obviously with all of those shoes shoe boxes I'm really finding that I am going to need so I think I want one one set for shoes and not it doesn't necessarily have to be like dressy shoes it can be like a set for boots so I could have like a gap at the bottom for like the booties like the high boots the knee high all of that cuz KNE high boots are so annoying to store and then I might keep my pretty shoes over here and the other one can be like all my practical shoes my long hanging so in the winter that can be like coats maybe some events dresses and then the summer can be just like loads and loads and loads of long dresses cuz I love me a midi dress I think that would be a really good use of that space over there and then hopefully there would still be enough space for like obviously chairs and stuff the chairs my dream is actually to have them in the center of the room once I have cleared it cuz obviously there's crap everywhere the center of the room with my coffee table from the living room in between so it's a nice small marble table I thought that would be really cute but for now I'm going to pop them over there because I am just surrounded by stuff so until then they can be over there but I think it would be a really cute little pog cast SP I just this is really boring nerdy stuff but the sound in this room tell me you live with a music producer without actually telling me um the sound in this room is great like the second I step out of the hallway and into here the sound completely changes when I'm talking and it's just wild because there's so much nerdy but there's when you have coats and carpet absorbing sound like it makes it sound better so this is just the perfect room for vlogging podcasting housing all of my things it literally is the room of requirement oh oh my God that makes me so happy but anyway I yeah I am so in love with how this has all worked out like I I actually originally envisioned having all of my bags down here but I actually really like the shoes I think it flows well with like an outfit like your shoes go on your feet so it makes sense that they're down below like something in my brain just really finds that satisfying and then I love having all the bags I like having just some display ones in the middle I love that this gets like a moment it makes me so happy and then obviously spicy Margarita also gets a moment down here they're just like the nicest bags to have out on display so gorgeous got a whole coat section here I've tried to go in like kind of colors but not too much so like occasionally having something that like breaks up all of my kind of like everyday like work wear so more of the lighter springy stuff over here and then more of the wintery kind of stuff over here I'm excited to see how this changes seasonally as well and then of of course the drawers are just looking so good each of the drawers kind of has a theme so this is me like the 5-year-old me and this is adult me when I want to be comfy now we'll see how I get on with it all is the dust going to drive me mad cuz I'm going to have to dust my shoes yes maybe but will it be worth it I think so right now I oh my God there's a whole big fingerprint on the lens wow sorry guys oh my God it's like a makeup fingerprint how have I managed that disgusting I am dying to unveil these because I actually haven't looked at them since they arrived and it was on the 5th of January so very excited about this these are two swivel boot clay chairs from Barker and Stonehouse I got them on sale via fenick like the most random shopping situation but I got them on sale which I was very happy with I think this was like around the time of Black Friday so keep an eye out like Furniture stuff around Black Friday amazing this house also I didn't measure these before I ordered them and when they arrived I literally had to hope and pray that these would fit up the stairs because that was the literally the most expensive risk I've ever taken oh my God there's so much packaging oh no there's bottom packaging as well I'm going to need scissors please hold do we think these are going to cut it here we go why is this so hard say what you want about Barker and ston housee but they're really thorough with their packaging oh wow this is nice okay what do we think I'm very happy with them like bouay can go wrong you can get a very yellow toned bouay and it doesn't go swivel are working okay yeah wow okay obsessed obsessed thank God we will continue all of this there's going to be a lot more organizing once we are back we're having a brief break to go up North for the weekend to see my sibling and then we will be right back in here doing all the things finessing finishing organizing and then we're going to start on the rest of the house because the rest of the house gives me anxiety we have now only just been able to get in my office because all of the boxes for all of the stuff was in my office that is chaos the utility area is chaos so we are going to sort everything next week that's next week's problem but thank you so much for joining me for
