At the same time, with Zhang Yetang as the backbone, they formed a large-scale silk and bamboo band, played with ruler music, played by Kunqu class and famous drummers, and gradually formed a full-time silk and bamboo performance class. At the end of Wanli of the Ming Dynasty, a new music species "string rope" was formed in Wuzhong (Suzhou area), which can be regarded as the predecessor of silk and bamboo in the south of the Yangtze River. It is closely combined with folk activities and has a broad mass base. Later, it was officially named Jiangnan Silk and bamboo.
