welcome your boss hi my name is Katie
McCrimmon I'm the keyboardist and
backing vocalist I'm Keith I'm the
vocalist we call it doom wagon
that's got a few that's kind of the
burden machine that's
I do about 95% of the driving up here
it's not too different than of you like
a car or truck but you definitely have
to like pay attention what you're doing
because it's way bigger you have to
watch out for blind spots because idiots
become up next to you and try and
literally go underneath you we actually
had that happen all the way here but
it's not too bad the night driving kind
of sucks just because the lights are
bright enough so you kind of got to pay
attention what's going on that but it's
not too bad we just have a lot more
schematics and we'll do delays up here
[Applause]
[Music]
so being close we actually have the stop
sign actually it's actually a sausage so
it's not a bussing it's a full-fledged
sausage I mean for a little while we
just kind of started letting people just
write whatever in the bus like some of
our friends from Memphis over here and
just you know weird [ __ ] everywhere we
try to collect posters from events shows
yeah cool things we find at venues you
know that our friends play that me play
or whatever we got this for Canada this
was like cuz I got birthday card or I
don't know what kind of card is supposed
to be but uh it was how we got our
guarantee from a promoter
earlier this year this one right here is
actually super cool it's made out of
metal that's some of our fan offended of
us so material basically she does those
and she doesn't for bands that she likes
she comes out to our show and of
michigan and gives those to us it was a
straight up school bus and actually
these guys ripped all the seats out
built the bunks and like redid this
within 24 hours well about total of 48
hours with the paperwork getting it
registered getting the bunks in there
making sure that it was a legal to drive
as a motor home that's how its
registered and this is actually not our
first bus we had an old bus but the
transmission was going so we trade for
trade got this one in in Ohio and this
is what we're touring in now right here
is like my office I'm usually tour
managing for us and you know if it's a
headlining tour the other bands on the
tour making sure everything's running
smoothly I'm also a booking agent in the
off time so I'm usually laptop here
working here whatever we also got like
so uh you know makeup here baby powder
is kind of essential on tour stuff to
make you not smell like [ __ ]
toms rolling papers you know stuff like
that the essentials this area usually
will pull out these folding chairs and
like sit on the cooler or whatever and
this is kind of I guess our makeshift a
little front lounge area we'll get ready
where if we're gonna have friends up on
the bus and you know a party a little
bit or hang out or whatever this is
where we do it that way people are back
in our if you like this is my [ __ ] it's
probably should go with you if not this
is a little weird creep it has paint
magazines tools whatever in it it's kind
of a free-for-all in there well since we
had to get the bus ready within 48 hours
it was a pretty quick process but we had
to take out all these type chairs they
were all the way on bow
sides in the back they were actually
attached to these made it a little bit
difficult to get them out because they
were really in there once we cleared out
the back of the bus we ended up doing
measurements and building the bunks we
had to make sure that we had enough
space for all the members to have
someplace to rest also too recently we
lifted them up so you can have storage
space underneath we sometimes put gear
luggage underneath them as well everyone
has their own individual space where
they put all their personal items their
gear this is our guitarists bunk area
and all their stuff
we have a little storage area for all
the instruments and some of the drum
hardware in this spot we tie it in and
it fits nicely right there basically we
just kind of like made our equipment
kind of like a living space as well you
know just kind of like mix the two we
got our merch up front or mic stand with
all of our dead animal bones and all the
stuff that's not good for you
and then we just pretty much mix it with
our living area we usually kind of like
mix it up like you know sometimes
someone will pick up the slack for
somebody else if they're having a rough
night or you know we just but besides
that we kind of have like a Tetris
system you know other than that this
right here is our rich guy
icers bunk this is Ron's mug this is
usually kind of empty because Ron's
usually driving all the time so but
seeing them do some weird [ __ ] in here
this is Chuck smoke
with squawker taxes Ranger that's the
overseer of the space buddy of ours that
uh you know some drives up here flyer
with us and stay dog back there ya know
it's an interesting show he apparently
didn't know he was booked for it and
then I guess the festival and so we did
that playing with like hinder
disappointed I wanted open for Snoop
Dogg that would be pretty cool to say
this bottom one is my bunk I sleep on my
luggage back there I sleep surrounded by
the dead [ __ ] pretty much and uh I load
my gear back that way using laundry this
is actually a pretty cool bag we got
from Testament when we toured at them
and then the whole bottom under here is
all the like a lot of the stains props
and stuff and people's shoes and stuff
that shouldn't be out in the middle of
the Iowa and this is my bunk back here I
know it looks like a crazy twelve year
old girl decorated in here but it's
really comfortable and I don't actually
have a mattress I sleep on some foam
padding and a lawn chair cushion but
it's really comfortable and it's it's
been suitable for me over the past few
years that I've had it my friend gave me
the little Hellraiser guy over there and
was my friend carry
he's been my little tour buddy for about
three years now and then I love
steampunk so I saw that little dragon at
a gas station also gonna have to have it
no I mean our fans have always brought
us some really cool stuff whether it's
like food sodas fan I don't have it here
with me because it was really delicate
but a fan brought me
a little dried gecko and a nice little
floral frame also - some of the animal
bones that we use in our stage props
those have been gifts from our fans as
well so that's that's pretty cool when
you can say oh yeah you know our fan
brought us a you know a pronghorn Skol
or my cousin gave me a buck skull so but
they're hiding way down back there
my band's pretty boring so I'll keep a
whole lot in the bus I kind of packed
super light for tour so I have less
stuff to keep track of and lose and
damage I guess
bring it on tour it's pretty much
history so kind of touring the
minimalists as much as possible I like
to keep my stuff
that's all I know right now they're
using a transnational so where the
convalescence this is where we live
seven to nine months out of the year
catches on tour we're on tour all year
every year pretty much we had a big shot
on the bloodletting North Americans who
are coming up in Detroit soon sold out
hometown show in Toledo and we're gonna
be hitting the studio again soon so look
out for a new record in early 2019
