Hey guys, today I'm going to share with you the three books I have just brought from Waterstones.
And during this book vids I was aiming to diversify the different genres a bit,
so I basically brought books have more like a nostalgic vibe, like the books I've read before
but maybe in a different language or many many years ago, and books from both non-fiction and
fiction, because ultimately I think reading books is more about enjoyment, unless you're doing it
for your studies of course, even though that would be, if it is for enjoyment it would be more fun.
Anyways and so I basically like diversified up the genres a bit and I want to pick books that
genuinely genuinely interest me. Let's start with the first one. So I picked um Robinson Crusoe.
I actually read this book many many years ago when I was a baby, not when I was a baby, when I was a kid,
like such a long time ago. So I vaguely remember a little bit of it and I did really enjoy it,
so it'd be really cool to read it all up again in a different language and many years afterwards.
And also I think you know like Robinson Crusoe, it is a very interesting life and it is a very
interesting book and it's about a man who have a very interesting life, both in terms of how you
survive in different scenarios in a completely different world, as well as choosing something
that generally you find passionate about, rather than you know the middle station of life as well
his father calls it. So um this is where I'm at, so I still have a long long read ahead but I'll
update you guys when I finish. And the other two books I brought, so this is like a fiction,
this is yeah this is a fiction and this is a non-fiction. I only brought this book because
Peter Thiel is like a very famous guy and this is basically, it's called zero to one,
notes on startups or how to build the future. And I feel like you know if you're really famous for
business, you must be good at something, right? So um apparently this is like a Stanford course
this guy teaches and then he turned it into a book. But it's really, I find it quite cool, I think it's
having something from zero to one, it's very different from having something from
one to a hundred. So this is something I'm very interested about, as well as just like
I wasn't, I'm not really looking to start a company but I think it's quite interesting to learn about
the stories behind it and learn about those like founders, their mindset, how they see the world
and how they imagine the world should be, would be in the future. So this is a book I'm going to read
after. And so I've got fiction, non-fiction, the last one is still a fiction but this book
is something I've been wanting to read for a long time. The Hobbit is like such a famous movie,
such a famous book, I never read it, I never watched the movie either. I did like the first
time today, not today, like the day when I walked into Waterstones, I wanted to get something that's
more sci-fi, more fantasy and I want to get something that's written by J.R. Tolkien,
so yeah, so I wanted to get something wrote by him because he's such a famous guy
and the stuff he writes is amazing but I just never read it. So I'm definitely reading this,
I'm sure it's going to be fantastic because it's so famous right, so it must be really really good
to most people, which should be good to me as well. So I'm gonna start reading this
after I finish jogging some Crusoe and Zero to One, or maybe I'll change the range, change the
plan, but that is the plan. So that's the three books I've brought. I highly recommend you because
to try to read different things that you don't usually read, as well as read the stuff that
you like, that you do read. I think to mix up the genres you read is quite, it's something that
is quite a good strategy I have to both explore the new stuff and get out of the comfort zone
and also read something that is in your comfort zone. That's why it's called
comfort zone because it's comfortable, but that's just my two cents.
