Johann Sebastian Bach published the "Well-Tempered Clavier" over 300 years ago. It comprises a collection of 24 piano pieces, a prelude and fugue for each major and minor key. It shows how perfectly Johann Sebastian Bach mastered counterpoint.

Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Shostakovich all studied Johann Sebastian Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier. But not only them, the preludes and fugues are still part of the basic repertoire for every piano student today. Has the "Well-Tempered Clavier" therefore won the title of the "Old Testament of piano players"?
