Why is George Soros so involved in Spanish Politics? Tucker Carlson traveled to Madrid to ask opposition leader Santiago Abascal.
One of the things that Spain has in common with other Western countries that are becoming less democratic
is the involvement of George Soros, who's a major player in Spanish politics.
Why would George Soros, who is not Spanish, has no connection to Spain that I'm aware of,
be involved to the degree that he is in Spanish politics?
George Soros is Hungarian, and not only is he little-loved in Hungary,
but he is very little-loved in many nations of the world because he tries to influence.
George Soros was the first person to meet with the president of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez,
when he was elected.
When I interpellated Pedro Sánchez in Parliament...
Wait, I'm sorry. George Soros was the first person to meet with the newly elected left-wing Spanish president.
George Soros.
Exactly.
Those are the news that were published in Spain and that the government has never denied.
When I interpellated the president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, about that meeting,
he never answered in Parliament.
He never answered.
Clearly, they admire people of that nature.
It's curious, that alliance between the left and the far-left, and the globalist multimillionaires.
It's really a curious alliance of that left that used to manifest as anti-globalization,
and that today has allied itself with all those multimillionaires who want to manage the world,
and who have to tell us how we have to live while they live like kings.
Not at all.
The vast majority of Spaniards, no matter what they vote, are against mass immigration.
They want immediate repatriations when illegal immigration reaches our shores.
They want deportations of those who have entered our country illegally,
and, of course, of those who commit crimes.
They want the nationality of the people who have obtained it and who commit crimes in Spain to be withdrawn.
That is the majority position of the Spanish people.
We know it well, and that position is not only defended by the voters of Vox,
even by the socialist voters, but there is a public discourse,
a discourse of the media, of the political tribunals,
and a discourse of the street, a discourse of the bars.
They are totally confronted.
It is truly surprising, because they dare to stigmatize their own people.
They call everyone who asks for legal and orderly immigration a xenophobe.
And what should we call them? Endophobes?
Why do they want to condemn us to the consequences of illegal immigration,
to the lack of security, to the degradation of public and health services?
Why do they want to condemn those people to risk their lives at sea?
Why does Soros finance organizations such as Open Arms,
which is one of the NGOs that also receives public funding,
and which is the main responsible for collaborating with the mafias of trafficking in the Mediterranean?
Why do we take away from those other countries
a large part of their population that could raise them?
Why do we condemn them to hunger games,
saying that those who arrive here legally will finally be able to legalize themselves,
somehow going beyond our laws?
It is a huge and brutal contradiction, which is very difficult to denounce,
because immediately the media machinery of the left and of globalism
labels you, kills you socially, insults you and says that you are a soulless person,
that you want immigrants to die at sea, that you are not supportive.
When they are the ones who are being called, and they are the progress politicians,
the culprits of the deaths in the Mediterranean.
Explain if you would to those who are not following Spanish politics
how you believe the current left government in power is trying to end democracy in Spain.
How is that happening, do you think?
Well, the government has not been elected yet,
but we have voted in a normal legislature
for a government to make some or other public policies.
However, this government has initiated a constitutional process.
It has put on the table a law of amnesty
for the worst crimes committed by public representatives.
Crimes against the constitution, crimes against national unity.
In short, Pedro Sánchez is a politician who is amnestying other politicians
in exchange for their votes to stay in power.
He is a politician who is forgiving the debt to a certain region
to obtain the vote of the representatives of that region and to stay in power.
It is the biggest act of corruption that a politician can commit,
but he is also initiating a constitutional process.
The law of amnesty does not fit in our constitution.
It has put on the table absolutely all the judicial sectors,
all the judicial associations, regardless of their ideological orientation,
which have spoken in the most forceful terms.
Today in Spain, judges, both the government of judges and the judicial associations,
are talking about the beginning of the end of democracy,
they are talking about the abolition of the rule of law
and they are talking about a brutal attack on the separation of powers.
That had never happened throughout our democracy
and that is why we say that Pedro Sánchez's amnesty is a blow to the constitution
and it is a blow to the nation,
and therefore we are going to face, if he manages to be appointed president,
an illegal legislature, not only illegitimate,
because Pedro Sánchez was already elected four years ago
by lying to the Spaniards about their pacts.
This time it is much more serious.
He has not only lied to them, but the government directly
is walking down the path of absolute illegality.
That is exactly what we have accused him of.
We have told him that the message that all Spaniards send is that the law no longer obliges anyone,
because if the law does not force its partners and its investigative accomplices,
why does it have to force us?
Why do they tell us that we have to convene demonstrations with all the papers?
Why do we have to comply with the administrative procedures?
Why do the Spaniards have to pay taxes?
Why do the Spaniards have to pay fines?
Why do the Spaniards have to accept the sentences of the courts
if the accomplices of Sánchez's investigation are going to be pardoned?
If the very serious crimes committed by politicians
during a period of five years are going to be completely pardoned?
They are going to say that there was no crime, that they did nothing wrong.
I think that nothing more serious can happen.
It is a very dangerous message to society,
and it puts at risk the coexistence between Spaniards.
Why are we going to accept the legitimacy of the institutions governed by the left
if the left does not respect the laws?
The left makes extremist gender laws,
they have made a law of sexual consent called the CSE law,
but it only affects them.
Recently, the son of a well-known leftist magistrate has been arrested,
and he was immediately put on the street.
There are people who spend days in jail
facing denunciations of this nature.
The same thing happens with political crimes.
Now they are arresting a lot of young people
for being in demonstrations that do not have permits
and they are imposing administrative sanctions on them,
and yet they are pardoning very serious crimes.
Crimes more serious than those committed by politicians who steal public money.
Because stealing public money and taking it home is very bad,
but stealing public money and using it to break the constitution and coexistence
is much more serious.
And that is what happened in Catalonia with the separatist leaders
who tried a coup d'état in 2017.
The problem is that the coup d'état of 2017,
committed by separatism and paralyzed by Spanish society,
by the king and the courts,
has now been transferred to the Moncloa Palace
and has the support of Pedro Sánchez,
who is willing to do anything to maintain power.
He has no scruples, he has no principles,
he does not believe in anyone or anything,
he is even able to sell his mother.
Why?
