In the early 20th century, the US financial system was in the middle of a thousand-pound chain.
A financial expert in New York calculated a serious mistake.
Causing an investment company to collapse and two other companies to collapse completely.
This situation has caused a wave of money-laundering in banks and hedge companies in New York.
Money in a blink of an eye has become extremely scarce.
The largest and most important financial institutions, including the New York Stock Exchange,
are also starting to face difficulties in allocating funds for their daily activities.
No government agency is capable of preventing the financial crisis.
Individuals in the financial system are also struggling.
And at that critical moment, a man appeared at the right time to save the order of the financial system.
He was in the middle of this crisis.
A man who was later called the savior of the world by the United States.
That man is John Pierpont Morgan, the founder of the JPMorgan Chase Group,
the top financial powerhouse in the United States.
He has gathered large bank owners and raised huge sums of money to help important institutions
such as the New York Stock Exchange and the New York City government.
As well as convincing the leaders of hedge investment companies to set up a mutual fund
to help those in need.
However, the gap between the hero and the criminal is very fragile.
Because the pain of this man can be a joy to others.
After the tragedy, the United States continued to shock itself when it realized the truth.
JPMorgan Chase is in the hands of all the assets of this country.
Continuous suspicions are raised that JPMorgan and his giant financial empire
have taken advantage of this crisis to play the role of the weak
and then began to bully other opponents at a low price.
How did it all happen?
Let's welcome BattleCry in today's video.
Welcome to BattleCry Explore.
Knickerbocker, the old gang of gangsters.
Saturday, November 2, 1907, was a dark day for the United States.
JPMorgan Chase is facing the collapse of Moe S. Lee,
one of the largest hedge fund companies in New York.
Moe S. Lee is losing a lot of money.
And if they collapse,
then all the banks and securities companies in the United States will quickly follow.
All the chaos began only from a failed hedge fund manipulation
by four bank giants 20 days earlier.
Two brothers, Fritz Augustus Hanser and Otto Hanser
are two large shareholders holding most of the shares in the United Copper Company.
In early October 1907,
the two brothers Hanser, along with Charles Moe
and the head of the investment fund Knickerbocker, Charles Barkley,
began a classic stock price manipulation.
They considered and discovered something strange,
that the amount of shares being traded on the market of the United Copper Company
exceeded the number of real free shares.
This situation occurs when the selling operation is very strong.
The selling operation simply means that
investors have borrowed shares from Moe S. Lee to sell.
Wait for the stock price to fall, then buy and return.
That is, most of the shares are selling on the market,
certainly most of them are borrowed from the shares of Hanser.
And as soon as they realized the problem,
Otto Hanser immediately looked for a business opportunity.
If they find a way to buy back all the shares of the brokers,
then the brokers will not have enough shares to pay back the Hanser brothers.
And that will be an opportunity for their brothers to seize the property of this group.
And the other four began to plan to increase the price of shares by extorting funds.
They will allow investors to continue to borrow shares to sell.
Then the Hanser brothers will buy back all the shares.
When investors cannot buy back the shares to pay the right price,
then the Hanser brothers will seize the property and start killing each other.
This is a very risky but also very risky move.
It can kill all the middle investors.
However, a change has occurred.
In some mysterious way, Hanser was wrong.
After the order to buy back the shares appeared,
I don't know where a lot of United Copper shares were sold.
Maybe there was another group that was also holding a lot of United Copper shares,
but he didn't find out.
And in a big game like this,
a wrong move is enough for the player to pay the price.
United Copper shares are continuously falling.
And this is really a disaster for the Hanser group.
It can even pull down the financial foundation of the whole country.
The first group is the company that buys the stock market,
Gross & Kleeberg, of Otto Hanser.
Previously, to have capital to save this century-old affair,
Gross & Kleeberg replaced the United Copper shares they owned
to borrow money and then continue to buy their own shares.
However, when the price of the United Copper shares continuously fell,
the value of the stock market also plummeted.
Gross & Kleeberg was forced to sell the United Copper shares
to pay the debt to the bank.
And this is why the price of the United Copper shares is rising,
and the price is falling.
The situation is getting worse.
The banks of Augustus Hanser and Morse are the next victims.
They have used too much cash to buy shares.
And when the price of the shares continues to fall,
these banks are starting to lose their deposits
and may not have enough cash to pay the debt.
Knowing this news, the sender began to line up to withdraw money
at all banks that are affiliated to Hanser and Morse,
making the debt lower and now even lower.
Hanser and Morse are about to run out of cash
and are likely to declare bankruptcy
because they can't pay the right amount of cash.
A bank losing its deposits and not being able to pay the debt
is a disaster for all other banks.
Because when a bank can't pay the money back,
people will definitely withdraw all the money they are sending
to other banks to protect themselves.
Seeing this, New York Clearing House,
an organization responsible for accounting,
supporting banks in New York,
has to call for help.
In essence, at that time, people only withdrew money
from Hanser's banks and sent it to other banks.
They still believe in the banking system,
they just don't believe in Hanser.
Therefore, other banks only lend money to Hanser's banks
to pay the investors.
And then they bring that money and send it to other banks.
Hanser's money will go around in a circle.
The support in time has finally stopped the flow of money
from the system.
The banks are temporarily safe.
The stock price has stabilized.
The wind has been calm since then.
But unexpectedly, the change happened not long after that.
At Knickerbroker,
Charles Barkley is also facing a problem
that people who send money have withdrawn a lot of money.
In this case, only JP Morgan's banks
are able to save them.
However, after assessing the property of Knickerbroker,
Morgan's group declared not to support
due to the suspicion that Knickerbroker
would not be able to pay the debt.
This move immediately affected other financial institutions.
Because Morgan is a man of his word
as well as a strong financial power.
If a well-known financial institution like Morgan
still refuses to help,
why do other people have to get involved?
And then, there was no one to help
to save Knickerbroker.
And then, something happened.
On October 22, 1907,
the investment fund Knickerbroker
immediately faced a series of money withdrawals.
They had to pay back $ 8 million in cash
to the sender
before declaring bankruptcy,
could not pay back the money,
and had to close.
Note that $ 8 million at the time of 1907
is a very large number,
equivalent to more than $ 200 million
at the time of 2023.
And so, the American fire started to burn.
Trust is something strange.
It helped build a whole banking system.
But it is also trust.
With just this pillar,
the whole system will collapse
like a domino chain.
After one of the largest banks in New York
lost Knickerbroker,
plunged into a state of debt.
Trust in investment fund managers
also shrank significantly.
And the next victim
was called Trust Company of America.
Trust Company of America
is a company with a much better foundation
than Knickerbroker
and has the ability to recover capital.
And thanks to that,
this company was saved by Morgan's team
and the government from money laundering.
However,
that amount of money is only enough
to save financial institutions
from a state of not being able to repay debts
but not being able to support other activities.
Cash has been withdrawn from the system quite a lot.
Money withdrawn from banks,
money withdrawn from investment funds,
money withdrawn from the entire stock market.
Money withdrawals
have made the banking system vulnerable.
Now, everyone is trying
to keep as much cash as possible.
Equivalent to limiting investment
and lending.
This has created the next victim,
which is the stock market.
When everyone keeps cash
but does not invest in the stock market,
the need to buy stocks
has decreased.
There is no demand from banks
and stock companies.
Stock prices quickly declined.
On October 24, 1907,
just two days
after Knickerbroker fell,
New York Stock Exchange
witnessed a disaster.
Everyone wanted to sell
and no one bought.
And so,
all the stock prices
decreased.
If there is not enough demand,
the stock market will definitely collapse.
When the situation is unstable,
the US government
and banks continue to work
with Morgan Group to invest in the market.
They continuously buy stocks
to increase demand
and save the stock market.
In the meantime,
a crisis will not be different
from a house fire.
When a house has just been demolished,
the next house will continue to burn.
A series of bad news
comes to Morgan Group
and its employees.
A series of securities companies
will stop operating
because there is no cash left.
New York City will go bankrupt
because regular bonds
cannot be issued
A series of securities companies
that are trading securities
will be sold at a discount
and of course, will go bankrupt.
Among the securities companies
that are at risk,
there is Moe S. Lee,
one of the largest securities companies
in New York City.
This company traded with
Tennessee-Coran,
Arron & Rehnroth.
Due to the strong decrease
in TCNI shares,
and the U.S. is in a crisis,
there is no way
to save the stock market.
And in the most critical moment,
J.P. Morgan immediately
gathered 120 representatives
of banks and other investment funds
to save the U.S. financial system.
Morgan decided to use
his company, US Steel,
to collect TCNI
to avoid disaster
for Moe S. Lee in particular
and the general market.
Because at this time,
US Steel has taken up
up to 60% of the market
and the TCNI collection
is against the competition.
However, President Roosevelt
still has to break the law
to avoid everything going further.
In the end,
the U.S. financial system
was held by Morgan.

Morgan, the hero of the crisis.
On Wednesday,
November 6, 1907,
the collection was officially completed.
Mark Anseli was officially rescued
and the belief gradually returned.
The end of nearly a month of crisis
seemed like it could not be overcome.
The tragedy ended
when the press published
the latest sensational articles.
His name was put
on the news.
The whole city of New York
called the hero J.P. Morgan.
A newspaper ran the news
very loudly.
J.P. Morgan
restored the situation
of the entire investment company.
The Wall Street Journal
gave more objective comments.
Nothing in Wall Street's history
could be more important
or more dramatic
than the nightly meetings
of Wall Street investors
at Morgan's family library.
It was clear that he was
born at that time,
the leader of that time,
but the gap between the hero
and the criminal was very thin.
The American people had just
escaped the crisis,
but it seemed like they were
entering another dangerous
and terrifying crisis.
After rescuing the whole city of New York
from the disaster,
people suddenly realized that
J.P. Morgan was in the hands
of a variety of investment banks,
commercial banks,
securities companies,
and big companies.
J.P. Morgan held the entire
American economy in his hands.
This made people really worried.
J.P. Morgan
ended up rescuing America
or did he just play the role of a hero
to carry out his
self-sacrificing missions?
The American people's doubts
were not without basis.
On the night of November 22,
1910, three years after the crisis,
a group of journalists
arrived at Hoboken, New Jersey,
and witnessed a group of
passengers and U.S.
financial tycoons
secretly leaving the station.
Many years later,
the journalists discovered
the truth of the secret mission
that night.
But even when they knew,
they could not understand
that the history of the United States
had had a strong transition
from that night in Hoboken.
The group was led by
Senator Nelson Andrews,
Chairman of the National
Security Committee,
grandfather of Nelson Rockefeller,
along with six other senators,
namely Pierre Andrews,
Assistant Secretary of the U.S.
Treasury,
Frank Vanderlip,
Chairman of National Citibank,
Henry Davison,
a senior shareholder of J.P. Morgan,
Charles Norton,
Chairman of First National Bank,
Benjamin Strong,
Assistant Secretary of J.P. Morgan,
and especially Paul Warburg,
the most important name,
a banker from Thailand
who came from Germany.
A person with a close relationship
with the Rothschild family.
He also had a very close
connection with two other
powerful wealthy families,
namely Morgan and Rockefeller.
Before this conference,
these seven people were asked
to go on a secret trip
at all costs
to avoid the eyes of the reporters.
Quite funny is the case
of Paul Warburg,
a senior in the banking sector,
one of the men
who had to carry a gun
with him on that day
to pretend to be himself.
Although he had never
touched a gun before
and the gun he carried
was not intended to
cover the eyes of the world
and the press.
But the above information
was enough to create
a mysterious story.
Albrich's private car
was waiting outside the
Rothschild-Georgia station
and took the whole group
into the gloomy darkness
of the Hoboken
to Jekyll Island.
A few years ago,
the members of the Rothschild-Georgia
group set up
the Jekyll Island
as a place to
sabotage the plan
to control the money
and profits of all Americans.
Not only because of its
complete isolation,
but also because it was
the personal right
of each person
to participate in the plan
to ensure privacy.
The Jekyll Island
was not allowed
to use its real name
for a long time.
The reason for this
is because the nature
of the meeting
was ordered by
the National Monetary Authority.
In fact,
nothing good
was done on Jekyll Island.
This place was just
a place for
the National Monetary Authority
to hand over the task
from the government as I said above.
The threat at that time
was the manipulation of money
and profits.
The meeting on Jekyll Island
ensured that the so-called
Central Bank would be born in the US
and it would meet the wishes
of the landowners,
the people who are sitting here
and will create it in the future.
In 1912,
Puzo was founded
led by Axel Paulin Puzo
to investigate the economic manipulation
of the Managers Union,
Morgan's Union
and its allies.
In the book,
a famous Merchandising,
Louis Brandes wrote that
Puzo found out
that Morgan's group
owned 118 leadership positions
in 34 commercial banks
and companies
with a total of
2.679 billion USD
and a total of
1.983 billion USD.
30 leadership positions
in 10 insurance companies
with a total of
2.293 billion USD.
105 leadership positions
in 32 transportation systems
with a total of
11.784 billion USD.
The total length of transportation
is up to
50.200 km.
This is not including
fast-moving companies and maritime companies.
63 leadership positions
in 24 manufacturing
and commercial companies
with a total of
3.339 billion USD.
25 leadership positions
in 12 public service companies
with a total of
2.150 billion USD.
In total,
they hold 341 leadership positions
in 112 companies
with a total of
22.245 billion USD.
To imagine
how big the 22 billion USD
is,
let's compare.
US GDP
in 1913
was only 39.1 billion USD.
Thus,
Morgan's total assets
were controlled by 57%
of US GDP.
In 2013,
US GDP was
80.664 billion USD.
57% of US GDP
was
nearly 46.000 billion USD,
which is about
92 Apple companies combined.
Morgan's financial assistance
in 1907
contributed to the massive
financial power
that the US had to face,
making the economy
very unstable.
Later,
Clayton Antitrust Act
was passed
to regulate
Morgan's activities.
The US Federal Reserve
was officially established
in 1913
to prevent money laundering
such as the Klinker-Bocker crisis.
The US economy
changed a lot
after the 1907 crisis.
Charles Morgan,
Arthur Hanser,
and Charles Moore
had to go to jail.
The fate of Arthur
was not clear.
Augustus died
in 1914.
Charles Moore
was sentenced to 15 years
in Atalanta
for violating
the Federal Bank Law.
Charles Barkley
died on November 13,
1907.
After the crisis was settled,
Charles Barkley
shot himself
and shot himself.
A lot of theories were made
after Barkley's death.
Was he the one
who made a huge amount of money
go to the market?
Or was he the one
who made the crisis
affect the US financial market?
This is the name of J.P. Morgan.
There are too many questions
to answer.
However, the legacy of J.P.M
is still there.
The wealthiest people in the financial world
have no way
to expand their influence.
And Fed is also
a risky country
that the world has just realized.
The US
in 2023
was also on the brink of the crisis
when three banks announced bankruptcy.
Silicon Valley Bank,
Signature Bank,
and First Republic Bank.
First Republic Bank
is a bank worth
$230 billion,
equivalent to VND 5.4 million.
What caught the public's attention
was J.P.Morgan Chase.
Once again,
he played the role of a hero
in rescuing bankrupt banks.
J.P.Morgan Chase
and First Republic Bank
bought almost all operating accounts
of this bank at the most competitive price.
J.P.Morgan Chase
also accepted to buy
bonds that other banks did not want to buy.
And so
there is nothing surprising
when the US insurance company
prioritizes J.P.Morgan Chase
over First Republic Bank.
Despite the decision
that J.P.Morgan Chase
holds about 10% of the total funds
in the US,
this bank is banned from
collecting other banks,
except for the case of buying
a weak bank.
Although J.P.Morgan's CEO
Jamie Dimon
has said that they consider
the merger of First Republic
as a community mission
to rescue other banks.
However, it did not prevent the public
from once again raising the wave
that criticized J.P.M.
J.P.M. has been successful
in increasing its scale
and now the whole system
is going in the right direction for J.P.M.
At the time of the financial crisis
in 2008,
the largest bank in the US, J.P.M.,
has become a savior
of Beeston Bank
and Washington Mutual.
The biggest bank crash
so far, and it happened
just like what is happening
with First Republic Bank
and like what happened
with the previous merger,
this is probably the most effective way
to expand J.P.M.
Today, J.P.M.
is a giant bank
with assets up to 3.7 trillion dollars
and 250,000 employees.
This is the result
of the most coordinated process
throughout the century.
At the moment,
J.P.M. is the largest bank in the US
in terms of total assets,
total money transfer,
and market cultural value.
It accounts for more than 13%
of total money transfer in the US
and 21% of total spending
by credit card.
It is more than any other bank.
Along with the branch operating
in 48 states,
J.P.M. has grown too strong
to collapse.
And the fact that J.P.M.
continues to maintain its influence
on the US,
