with Moses, and the promise was made to those who believed in the Lord.
People of God, city of Emmanuel, People of God, saved in the blood of Christ,
People of Baptism, Church of the Lord, Long live the King!
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
The grace of Jesus our Lord, the love of God the Father,
and the communion of the Holy Spirit be always with you.
The Basilica of the Lateran is the cathedral of the Pope.
Built around 320 by Emperor Constantine,
it is the first in date and in dignity in all the churches of the West.
The fact of its dedication reminds us that the ministry of the Pope,
successor of Saint Peter, is to constitute for the people of God
the principle and the visible foundation of his unity.
Let us seek this unity in ourselves and in the Church,
by singing the psalms and asking the Lord to accompany us to build this unity.
Psalm 62
My house, says the Lord, is the house of prayer.
Alleluia.
On page 1
God, God, my God, I seek you from far away.
My soul thirsts for you.
Call upon the one who buys me.
I have seen your strength and your love.
All my life I have blessed you.
Raise your hands again when we pray.
Like a feast, I will be satiated.
The joy on my lips, I will say to the Lord.
And I remember you.
And I remain satisfied.
My soul is attached to you.
Your right hand supports me.
Glory to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
For centuries and centuries. Amen.
Chant of the Three Children
Blessed be the Lord in your holy temple of glory.
Alleluia.

The spirits and the souls of the righteous The saints and the humble
We are at 149. Praise God in the assembly of his faithful. Alleluia.
On page 2.
Sing this Lord a new song.
We are in the assembly of his faithful.
In Israel, John concentrated for his voice.
In his wings, the angel of his name.
Play for him the tambourine and the zither.
Praise God in the assembly of his faithful.
Alleluia.
Let the faithful exult gloriously.
Let's shout the joy at the hour of triumph.
Praise the angel of God.
Pull out the vengeance of the nations.
Inflict punishment on the people.
It is the choice of the prince in the affairs.
He replied that the sentence is written.
It is the pride of his faithful.
And it is in the Holy Spirit.
For centuries and centuries.
May Almighty God have mercy on us.
May he forgive us our sins and lead us to eternal life.
Gloria.
In excelsis Deo.
Gloria.
In excelsis Deo.
Amen.
Pray.
Lord God, you built the eternal home of your glory with living stones and chosen ones.
Let this spirit of grace that you gave to him abound in your church.
May the people of your faithful continue to grow so that the heavenly Jerusalem may be built.
Through Jesus Christ your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for the centuries of the centuries.
Amen.
Reading from the book of the Prophet Ezekiel.
On that day, in the course of a vision received from the Lord,
the man brought me back to the entrance of the house, and behold,
under the roof of the house, water was flowing to the east,
since the facade of the house was on the east side.
The water came down from below the right side of the house, south of the altar.
The man led me out through the north door and led me around the outside,
until the door facing the east, and there again, the water flowed from the right side.
He said to me,
This water flows towards the region of the east.
It descends into the valley of the Jordan and spills into the Dead Sea,
from which it drains the waters.
Everywhere the torrent reaches, all animals will be able to live and breed.
The fish will be very abundant, for this water drains everything it enters,
and life appears everywhere the torrent arrives.
On the banks of the torrent, on both banks, all kinds of fruit trees will grow.
Their leaves will not wither, and their fruits will not be lacking.
Every month they will bear new fruits, for this water comes from the sanctuary.
The fruits will be food, and the leaves a remedy.
Word of the Lord.
The river Sebra rejoices the city of God, the holiest of the dwellings of the Most High.
God is for us refuge and strength, rescue in distress, always open.
We will be without fear if the earth is shaken, if the mountains collapse at the mouth of the sea.
The river Sebra rejoices the city of God, the holiest of the dwellings of the Most High.
God holds on to it, it is unwavering. When morning comes, God rescues it.
The river Sebra rejoices the city of God, the holiest of the dwellings of the Most High.
He is with us, the Lord of the universe, citadel for us, the God of Jacob.
Come and see the acts of the Lord, he destroys the war to the end of the world.
The river Sebra rejoices the city of God, the holiest of the dwellings of the Most High.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
I have chosen and consecrated this house, says the Lord, so that my name will be there forever.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
The Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.
Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John.
As the Jewish Passover was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
In the temple he found the merchants of oxen, sheep, and columns, and the exchangers.
He made a whip with ropes and chased them all out of the temple, as well as the sheep and the oxen.
He threw the money of the exchangers on the ground, overturned their counters, and said to the merchants of columns,
Remove this from here. Stop making my father's house a business house.
His disciples remembered that it was written, The love of your house will make my torment.
The Jews questioned him, What sign can you give us to act in this way?
Jesus answered them, Destroy this sanctuary, and in three days I will raise it up.
The Jews replied to him, It took forty-six years to build this sanctuary, and you, in three days, you will raise it up?
But he spoke of the sanctuary of his body.
Also, when he awoke from among the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this.
They believed the writing and the word that Jesus had spoken.
Let us call upon the word of God.
The vision of Ezekiel perhaps gives us an image, for those who have traveled to Jerusalem,
of these springs of water in the underground caves of the city,
which were then the place of miracles performed by Jesus.
These springs of water then flow into rivers, into torrents,
and suddenly we have one of the torrents that is near the Dead Sea,
which creates, thanks to him, this famous oasis, En Gedi,
where men, beasts, plants, and vegetation are in abundance.
If we read this page of Ezekiel today,
it is that he gives strength and he irrigates our spirituality.
The name of Ezekiel, his etymology in Hebrew means the strength of God,
and you have seen it, we have sung it in the psalm.
And this strength of God in us puts us ourselves on stage
when we experience entering a particular sanctuary.
Here in Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, as in the Basilica of Latran,
as in Jerusalem, in the Holy Sepulchre for us,
this personal experience that we live irrigates us ourselves,
because the place where we go takes on an importance
and is filled with this strength of God that calls us.
There is like a dialogue, like a language tied between the pilgrim
and the place of pilgrimage, between the prayer and the place of prayer.
And this experience goes through all religious communities, whatever they are.
I think of our Muslim brothers in Mecca,
or Al-Quds in Jerusalem, the mosque that we call Al-Aqsa.
I think of the Jews of the whole world who every year
go on pilgrimage from May to the synagogue of the Griba,
or who go up to Jerusalem.
All this puts us in the hands of God,
who alone can give us this overflowing strength of the Spirit
that unifies us, that puts us in His hands
and that allows us, with other believers,
to say again the strength and unity in us of this return to God,
of this face-to-face with Him,
which makes us perhaps more human at that moment.
We need this strength of unity in ourselves and in our communities
to grow in front of the people,
to really be in an intimate relationship with God.
If the latrine is the unity of our community of Christians,
and if the Pope in his cathedral,
the one who is the bishop of Rome,
wants to be the visible sign of the unity of the Church,
then we constantly have to look for this unity in ourselves
to unite us with that of the Church.
Let us pray, let us pray for this search for unity
in ourselves and for the Church.
Let us pray for this search for unity of believers
in the search for peace,
in the search for mutual respect,
in the search for human greatness,
and not in its destruction.
We are the temple of God.
Our body gradually becomes and shapes itself
to be the tabernacle,
the sign of the presence of God in the midst of men,
of all men.
Let us trust in the promise of Christ and pray for the Church.
Temple founded on Christ, the cornerstone,
people who put their faith in Him,
here is the abode of God among men.
Here is the abode of God among men.
Vines planted and protected by the Father,
people who bear the fruit of life,
here is the abode of God among men.
Herds gathered by the only pastor,
people who listen to his voice,
here is the abode of God among men.
Land sown by the Word,
people who nurture the Father,
here is the abode of God among men.
City of God, Jerusalem of the Word,
people invited to the feast of the bones,
here is the abode of God among men.
Lord our God,
here is the abode
that you seek to build in us.
Give us your strength of life to be truly
your abode in the midst of the world,
you who are alive, now and always,
for the centuries of the centuries.
Blessed are you, Lord, God of the universe.
We have received from your goodness the bread that we present to you,
fruit of the earth and work of men.
It will become for us the bread of life.
Blessed be you, Lord.
As it is at the base of the wine for the sacrament of the covenant,
let us be united in the divinity of the one who wanted to take our humanity.
Blessed are you, Lord, God of the universe.
We have received from your goodness the wine that we present to you,
fruit of the vine and work of men.
It will become for us the wine of the eternal kingdom.
Blessed be you, Lord, God of the universe.
The humble and humble heart, Lord, we beg you
that our sacrifice on this day finds grace in front of you.
Pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice, which is also yours,
may be pleasant to God the Almighty Father.
Welcome, Lord, the offering that we present to you.
Give to those who ask you to be fortified by your sacraments
and to see their requests exalted by Christ our Lord.
The Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.
And let us raise our hearts.
Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God.
It is right and good for your glory and our salvation
to offer you our action of grace always and everywhere,
Lord, Father, and Saint of the Eternal and All-Powerful.
In your goodness for your people, you want to inhabit a house of prayer
so that your grace, always offered,
may make of us the temple of the Holy Spirit,
shining with a life that pleases you.
Day by day, you sanctify the wife of Christ,
the Church, whose churches down here are the image,
until the day when she will have her abode in the glory of heaven,
mother rejoiced by the multitude of her children.
This is why, with the saints and all the angels,
we offer you without end, we proclaim.
Saint, Saint, Saint of the Lord,
God of the universe,
Heaven and earth are filled with your glory.
High above the highest heavens,
you are the one who comes in the name of the Lord.
High above the highest heavens.
You are truly holy, God of the universe,
and it is just that all creation proclaims your praise,
because it is you who gives life,
it is you who sanctifies everything,
by your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord,
with the power of the Holy Spirit.
And you never cease to gather your people
so that when you rise to the setting of the sun,
a pure offering is presented in your name.
This is why we implore you, Lord,
to consecrate yourself to the offerings that we bring.
Sanctify them by your Spirit,
so that they may become the Body and Blood of your Son,
Jesus Christ, our Lord,
who told us to celebrate this mystery.
The night when he was delivered, he took the bread.
Giving thanks to you, he said the blessing.
He broke the bread and gave it to his disciples,
saying,
Take and eat of it all.
This is my Body, delivered for you.
Let us proclaim the mystery of faith.
Glory to you who are dead.
Glory to you who are alive.
Our Savior and our God.
Come, Lord Jesus.
In doing so, remember your Son,
his Passion that saves us,
his Glorious Resurrection,
and his Ascension into Heaven,
as we, the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of God,
with St. Joseph,
his Spouse,
the Blessed Apostles,
the Glorious Martyrs,
all the Saints who never cease to intercede with you,
and now we beseech you, Lord,
by the Sacrifice that reconciles us with you,
being in the whole world,
to greet him with peace.
Close your Church in pilgrimage on earth,
in faith and charity,
in union with your servant,
our Pope Francis,
our Archbishop Jean-Marc,
all the bishops,
the priests,
and the deacons,
and all the people
who are in need of your help.
Amen.
