Two pilots of a South Korean air Force fighter jet recently ejected after it crashed during a mission over the Yellow Sea.The aircraft, an F-4E Phantoms from the 153rd Fighter Squadron of the 10th Fighter Wing of the Korean Air Force, was returning from a training mission at Suwon base when the accident occurred.Since the first F4H-1 prototype made its maiden flight on May 27, 1958, the Phantoms have become a legend in aviation history.The total production reached 5,195, and the aircraft were used in more than 300 combat victories in various wars. It was equipped by 12 countries, including the United States, Australia, Egypt, Germany, the United Kingdom, Greece, Iran, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Spain and Turkey.The South Korean Air Force first began to equip the F-4 series of fighter jets in 1969, and all models except the F-4E have been retired.The 153rd Squadron is the last unit of the Korean Air Force still operating F-4E fighter jets, which are scheduled to be retired in 2025.
最近韓國空軍一架戰鬥機在黃海上空執行任務時意外墜海，兩名飛行員彈射逃生。此次墜海的戰鬥機屬於韓空軍第10戰鬥機聯隊第153戰鬥機中隊，是一架F-4E“鬼怪”戰鬥機，事發時該機從水原基地起飛執行訓練任務，在返航途中發生事故。自從第一架F4H-1原型機在1958年5月27日首飛以來，“鬼怪”已成爲航空史上的一個傳奇。總產量達到5195架，在各項戰事中取得超過300次空戰勝利，先後裝備了美國、澳大利亞、埃及、德國、英國、希臘、伊朗、以色列、日本、韓國、西班牙和土耳其12個國家。韓空軍最早於1969年開始裝備F-4系列戰鬥機，目前除F-4E戰鬥機外的其他型號均已退役。第153中隊是韓空軍最後一個仍在使用F-4E戰鬥機的部隊，按照計劃，這些F-4E戰鬥機將於2025年退役。
