同時，德國還將爲烏克蘭士兵提供訓練，預計培訓時間爲8周。
就在此前一天，2023年1月5日，德國總理朔爾茨和美國總統拜登通電話後，作出了上述軍事支持烏克蘭的決定。據悉，自俄烏衝突以來，德國已向烏克蘭提供總額達22.5億歐元的武器和軍事裝備，包括自行榴彈炮、“獵豹”防空坦克和Iris-T防空系統等。
