We made little cardboard houses, the water also flowed, and that's how we slept.
After that, they threw us out.

I've been working in this garbage for 70 years.
I'm getting old.
That's how I've suffered here, working.
My children worked without me working.
That's how I've worked.
My name is Diego Isael Sierra Coca.
Before, I was in the garbage.
I lived there.
I used to eat there.
I was abandoned and homeless.
I didn't know what to do.
I was dedicating myself to drinking.
I ate in the garbage.

with some friends I have there.

Freedom is in that.
Communication, love, and trust.
Home has given me a bed, a roof, and food.
And now I'm happy because I have my daughter.
And I'm very happy for what God has given me in this life.
They have started to make sewing factories together.
We have a hostel run by a boy from the street,
Carlos, whom I met in the tunnel.
