Training To Become A Race Car Driver For 24 Hours!

I'm going to be putting my body through a series of different tests and testing and developing my skills, starting with a simulation, then stepping up to G-Force rollover training. Next is high speed wind resistance training, and lastly, wrapping it all up with track awareness training. Every professional race car driver has to start with phase one, which is a hyper-realistic simulation training. Let's go inside and get started with that. This is the beginning of the MSI partnership with Mercedes-AMG Motorsports. I don't know why driving a car is so hard, but because this is so realistic, this should give me a real idea of what it's like to drive a real Mercedes AMG on a racetrack. Maybe on brake a little bit. Oh, off track. At least I didn't crash. Okay. I'm starting to think being a race car driver is going to take a lot of training to actually make it around a track in one go. Oh, understeer. Oh, crashing. No. Ooh, I think there's a shortcut. Every race car driver has got to have a shortcut. Oh, no. Oh, that was a horrible crash. Dude, what are you doing? You've only got 24 hours. We've got to bump up the level. This is only level one. It happens in a real thing. So we have a real life rollover simulator right outside. Actually. Oh, man. As you guys can see, we have a racing wheel inside. I will say, the gameplay that Carter will be seeing on the inside will be synced automatically on the outside on the MSI laptop right now. And the way we're syncing it is actually through Andrew's arms. All automatic, baby. Yeah. Look at that. So as he's driving in the video game, it's going to feel like he's actually in a real car feeling the G-Forces. Everything's ready to go. You ready to go? Oh, he's looking real happy right now. I gotta say, when you can feel the G-forces, it makes playing these games way more intense. This simulation is legit. It's different than like a gaming one. It feels like a gaming one. Oh, my God. Being a race car driver is a lot harder than I expected. And this is only a couple of tests. I know, it's only the second test. We have two more to go. Two more tests, okay? And each of them get harder and harder. I can't imagine what I have to do next. I was literally spinning upside down. So what? The next time I'm gonna be like flying or something? Oh, yeah. You'll be flying. You'll be flying, and at high speeds, too. With the wind blowing. Wait, are you serious? Oh, yeah. Here we go. Woo! I gotta say, I'm still a little bit dizzy. But, Stove, what are we getting into next? What in the world is this? All right, so this. Stove, this is like a baby car. No, this is the real training right here. This is literally for toddlers. Okay, I thought this training was supposed to progress and get crazier. This is literally looking like we're moving backwards. This is the official wind resistance test. Like, in a real car, the wind's going like a 200 miles per hour, you know? You gotta feel that wind. You gotta get used to it. This mimics it perfectly. You'd be like, woo! It's going like 200. Look at that. So, every professional driver has gone through this exact same test. Every driver? Every professional driver, yes. They've come to this property and tested it themselves, actually. So, you trained them all? Yep, that's why they're so good. So, you have to get through this to get to the big boy over there. All right, what do I have to do? All right, hop in. Matt, lower it down. Lower it down. There we go. All right, this simulation actually looks insane, Stove. I'm telling you, it's very professional. Every driver has gone through this. Okay, so I hop in this little tiny car. Last but not least, safety first. So, okay, this is, are you sure this is legit? Yes. No way! Very legit. All right, if you say so. It's tried and true, guys. Lift her up! Oh! Look at you go! Beautiful! You're doing great. Oh, oh, oh, don't move, don't move! There you go. So, okay, I'm sitting on a baby AMG up in the air, Stove. How is this training? This is wind resistance training 101, okay? This is how it's gonna go. We're gonna start from level one. We're gonna move back just a little bit. Wee! There you go. Do I look cool? All right, you gotta move a little bit, you gotta turn. Whoa! Oh, see, now we're moving up to level two. Now, level three. Yeah! A little more twist. Higher, Stove! Woo! Ah! Whoa! I'm in reverse. I'm driving in reverse right now. Hands on the wheel, though. Hands on the wheel. Am I a race car driver yet? Ah! All right, there we go. Now you got some more spin. Enough with that spin. How you feeling? Do you puke yet? That is actually surprisingly intense. I don't know what it looks like from the ground, but I am so dizzy right now. Good. And I know race car drivers pull a lot of Gs, but I don't see how this is like wind resistance. We're gonna have to step it up, guys. I didn't wanna bring this out because this is where the true professionals prevail right here, all right? So, just like MSI's track-ready cooling system, we have our own way of getting you track-ready with our own cooling system. Big boy, here we go. Whoa! Oh my God! It's all about control right here. All about control. Oh my God! The goal here is to get a big swing, okay? Feel the wind! Yeah! So do all race car drivers actually do this? Nah. Oh, this is another thing. Oh my God. He's losing though. Oh my God. I think this training is actually paying off because I'm going pretty fast right now. Okay. This training's pretty intense. Does that count as a pass? This is the pit crew communication challenge. If I can do this, I'm a race car driver. You are, yeah. You're ready to go onto the track, all right? Then let's get it done, Stove. All right, get suited up. Every professional race car driver has to have great communication with their pit crew. So that's what this test is doing. It's gonna be testing my driving skills and my communication skills. Behind me, we set up a course that is gonna test exactly that. If I can master my communication, I will officially be ready to be a race car driver. So this challenge, I'm gonna be blindfolded. Stove is gonna be reading me commands and I should be able to complete the course flawlessly. All right, remember, you just gotta listen to my voice and then you'll make it through the whole course flawlessly, okay? So the biggest thing is, there is a pool next to you, to your right side. So just be mindful of that. Wait, so you're saying I might be able to crash into the pool? You might. I'm driving a car! You're not going to because you have me as your pit crew, okay? I don't know if this makes any sense. All right, three, two, one, go! Go straight! This is what all the training has built up for, okay? Go straight, keep going, keep going. Turn right now.
