The Art of Slow Living in the English Countryside | A quiet January Homemaking Vlog UK

Countryside Days

And briefly after the mistakes of recent months these first
days of November feel like a moment to rest and simply be
Summerset Village is deep in winter snow the
natural world around us is quiet and cold
Yet this seasonal leap toward New Year's resolution and
self-improvisation seems to dominate this time of year
Kultura Hustle wants you to believe you're never enough as you are
Musicians must constantly change improve and do
it quickly—because if you rest you'll fall behind
Even though most of us already expected it
Most New Year's resolutions aren't about making it to the end
of November and that's not due to a lack of discipline or freedom
This is because they are often unrealistic and go
against our natural rhythm from the very beginning
My New Year's series on the blog took place
this week and I was pleased with the response
Through 200 comments and thousands of visits
What struck me most was
It was as many of you resonated with the metaphor of the family I shared
I wrote that there's no family that forms new families in recent years
A family is first cleared out
The family is filled with joy and then allowed to rest before beginning work on the village
Yet we humans often do the opposite We
constantly add new habits and build routines
even when our own territory has not been prepared
I'm building these structures in the hope that they'll be
completed by the first of January
A symbol of new beginnings
A few little birds will help support the future flowers
And I love how they also remind me
white bellies which we now see in the forest
The woods are silent and the wind cuts to
the bone Yet hope is already on the horizon
I noticed the first desert of the year
Chichi lawmakers of new beginnings
Now through the cold
The slowdown will begin
And although it will take a moment
before we truly notice the difference
We know the weather has already
turned and warm days are on the way
To believe that September
will come even after the
harshest winter is to believe in the Mother Nature
a cautious and measured pace of life
That's just one way to trigger a culture
of obstacles Trigger
a sense of necessity
And I need a simple congratulation
Believe that the most important things take time
Quick fixes rarely bring
a sense of achievement or fulfillment
Instead they leave us
constantly wanting more
The next great thing the next height
Everything that remains so far and our own inner voice
Hidden
I didn't have any wishes for
the temple this
year but my husband still
got me a new Yoga Mat
In my nine years of training
I've had only two instructors
my first one cost me 10 zł
and served me for five years
The second one lasted another four
Early in my yoga journey
one of my teachers told me
at genuine gratitude is evident in the way one is
well-dressed as it signifies
dedication to practice
Of course true
yoga happens
on the mat and asana is
just one part of the yogic
path but still this new ma
It brings me so much joy and she
will be well-loved and well-used
I don't think it's entirely
wrong to occasionally
shop order food We
live in the 21st century
and we should be able to like him
Besides my husband and I
run a small
The shop is successful
and I also like
being a customer Unfortunately
many people get lost in it
Buying too much earning
just enough to spend
and ending up with
some kind of hamster
Never completely happy
and completely satisfied
Seasonal life reminds
us that we cannot exist
in a constant state
of restricted offices
or we'll blow up quickly
Most important things in life
can be achieved only through
patience and freedom
Even more so as we
keep chasing
trends and
races we'll lose the
beauty of ordinary days
Filled with magic if
only we could perceive it
When you feel terrified and exhausted by a
culture of obstacles try
arriving late to the day
a walk through the forest
following the scent
of home-cooked
meals your favorite tea and
the warm glow of candlelight
at engages you in the gift
calm your mind
and put things into perspective
After an intense session of session pruning
you might feel inspired
to redesign your home
or get to know each other during the next vacation
but this speed will vanish
as quickly as you stop
comparing yourself to others
Instead focus on the
miracle of
your own life
Of course there's much
more to say about building a peaceful life
which is precisely why I'm
focusing on it now
six weeks of blog posts
designed to gently guide
you into the new year and
support your transitio
oward September
I wrote about a realistic
example to create
a calmer
more peaceful life
which is not dictated
by online aesthetics
If you want to stop
working spend your day
Crossing deserts
gathering pastel red eggs
and still you have money
—on money and snacks
I'm afraid I can't help
you with that but if you're
looking for a realistic example
of how to calmly slow down
Even while working
or giving birth I hope
my little helper
will be there to assist me
As for me in 2026 I
will continue on my
path of sharing peaceful
living and beauty
e English landscape in
every season
It will be
a year that feels both
busy and peaceful to me
The more I focus
on writing the more I hope
my first book will be
clarified later this year
I feel very confident about my
path and I hope the New
Year's series
helps you find
the same sense of direction
even if it means a smaller session and more rest
Thank you for watching and
I hope you have a great day
See you on the blog
