Hello everyone and welcome to this new video.
I am really happy to welcome you today
in a new theme that I wanted to shoot for you for a while.
Today we are going to talk about flat shoes.
How to look more elegant when wearing flat shoes
and also how to style your outfit when wearing flat shoes.
So what's funny is that, I don't know if you noticed,
but for a few years there has really been this trend of flat shoes.
We see more and more super stylish silhouettes in flat shoes,
whether it's sneakers, even summer sandals,
or even boots, etc.
So I personally, of course, recommend flat shoes.
And otherwise, I also recommend, and I personally wear a lot of mid-high heels,
let's say between 5 and 6 cm, which I find extremely comfortable.
But let's get back to our sheep.
Today we are really going to talk about the art of feeling good,
of launching your silhouette with flat shoes.
So I'm going to split this video in two.
First, I'm going to tell you about three tips to launch yourself with flat shoes.
And the second part will be really about how to style your outfit.
So we're going to talk less about shoes,
but we're going to talk more globally about style and outfit in the second part of the video.
So let's start right away with the first tip, which for me is really essential.
When you want to look bigger, more elegant,
you know, style is a lot of optical effects,
it's a lot of lines that we create.
So here we're going to play with verticality.
And who says verticality?
A shoe that is going to be a little bigger,
elongated, more vertical, with a pointy tip,
will create an optical effect of much more elongated legs.
So look at this example.
Here I show you a pair of totally flat black ballerinas that have a pointy tip.
The pointy tip is a bit like if they had drawn a line from the top of my head
to the tip of my toes.
And we really have a feeling of elongation.
Whereas when we wear round tips,
or even tips that are going to be in almond,
we're going to look a little more tight.
Here I show you a shoe with a pointy tip,
and also a shoe with a round tip.
We're on two pretty similar ballerinas.
It's true that it would have been better to have exactly the same ballerina in the same color to show you.
Unfortunately, I'm a little minimalist in my shoes,
so I don't have as many shoes to show you as that.
But we can see it here.
The shoe with a pointy tip is really going to have a tendency to elongate me,
to make me look bigger.
Whereas the round tip is going to have a tendency to tighten,
to shrink my silhouette.
So I don't know what you think about it, but tell me in the comments.
Do you prefer the outfit with light shoes and round tips?
Or the outfit with pointy shoes,
but a shoe that will contrast more because it is black?
But really here, what I wanted to do is give you a comparison
between the round tip and the pointy tip.
And in my opinion, the pointy tip is going to be more elongating,
it's going to be flatter on the legs for the silhouette.
Tell me what you think about it in the comments.
My second tip to elongate your silhouette when you wear flat shoes,
is to go more towards sandals that are going to be minimalist.
Minimalist sandals with really the minimum of brides,
and even minimalist in color,
with a color that is going to be a little bit in tone on tone with your skin,
which is going to be a little less denoted compared to your skin color.
In my opinion, it elongates a lot more than a black sandal,
which is going to take up a little more space on your foot.
I'll show you here.
We have a black sandal that I love, by the way.
I think this outfit is also okay,
but still look at the difference between the black sandal,
which has big brides, a little bit like the Hermès sandal,
it still takes up a good part of the foot.
And on top of that, it's black,
so we really have the look that is drawn like that by the foot.
And the minimalist sandal, which has two thin brides,
and which, in addition, has this metallization on the bridle,
which really comes to melt compared to my skin color.
I think I look bigger with the minimalist sandal,
because it takes up less space on my silhouette.
We notice it a lot less than the black sandal.
So, of course, it's all about the detail here.
And you have to look at the silhouette in general
to realize the advice I'm giving you.
We're really in small details in relation to the silhouette.
As I told you, there is no one silhouette that goes better than the other.
It's just that if you want to stand out
because you find yourself a little bit small
and you also want to have a more outstretched look,
a little more feminine, a little bigger, etc.,
well, you can make conscious choices
in relation to the shoes you're going to wear.
If you want to go further,
don't hesitate to download my practical sheet.
You know, like in most videos
that are going to be a little more conceptual,
a little more in detail,
a little more in precision, as I just said,
I'm trying to make you a practical sheet
that summarizes a little bit all the concepts of the video.
I know that you are many to print these practical sheets,
that you are also many to classify them in sheets,
and like that, it gives you a little style repertoire.
So don't hesitate to leave me your email just below the video.
You will find the link to download your practical sheet
and I will send it to you instantly in your email box.
Third tip to have a more outstretched look
when you wear flat shoes,
we're going to avoid all the creases
at the ankle level when we wear sandals.
So I'm pretty proud of myself
because I actually have two sandals that look a lot alike,
which are in the a little bit spartan style
with clotted creases for both.
One is gold and it has creases at the ankle
and the other is more in the shape of a mule
and it is more in the shades of nude.
So we are really very close in terms of color impact
and also shape on the foot.
Except that the difference is that we really have a spartan
with the creases at the ankle level
and on the other side we have a sandal
which is going to be more like a mule
and so suddenly the whole ankle,
the whole heel is completely naked.
So once again, it's subtle
because we are in light colors,
we are in colors that are going to be in shades
in both models on my skin,
but we can still see it.
When we have horizontal lines
which are traced from side to side of the ankle
with creases that are created by the shoe,
well, it's going to make your silhouette smaller.
Whereas if we completely clear the heel,
if we completely clear the ankle,
we're going for it.
And it's just another optical effect,
the optical effect of the horizontal line
simply on the ankle.
It would still look a lot more
if we had a shoe marked at the level of the color,
whether it's a camel shoe
or whether it's a black shoe.
If we really had a bridle like that,
well defined around the ankle,
then we would clearly have a horizontal line
which would mark this ankle and which rapidly.
But here we still see it
even if we need to focus a little bit to look.
I think it shows.
So if you have strong ankles,
if you want to stretch,
that you find that your legs are too short,
for example, compared to your bust,
always bet on mule-like sandals
that are going to lift you up.
So let's move on to the second part of my video
in which I'm going to give you three tips
to choose your flat shoes
and to wear them well in your outfit.
So here we're going to talk more about style,
even if we're also going to talk about vertical lines
because of course,
the two subjects meet.
Obviously, in style, everything is linked.
So I give you these tips
and then you see what can really work
for you in relation to your silhouette,
in relation to your height, etc.
So the first thing to be stylish
with flat shoes
is to choose shoes with beautiful details,
with a price range,
with really a care in the materials,
a care in the design.
Rather than going to a little bit of a lambda model,
hyper-classic,
I find that when we look a little further,
when we go a little bit above
in terms of creation,
in terms of the design of the model,
right away, we're going to bring style to your outfit.
We may be flat,
we may be super comfortable,
that doesn't mean that we have to deviate from our style.
We can stay in our style
while being in flat shoes
and that's what I'm showing you here.
So here we have a first sandal that I love.
I had a crush on this sandal
when I saw it.
In fact, I saw it on display,
I went in, I tried it,
I said, I love it.
I really had a crush on this pair of sandals
and frankly, I try not to wear them too much
because I don't want to damage them
since they are made of plastic
but they have a slightly fragile side.
They are ornamented with flowers,
like that, tricolor,
so pink, blue and white
and they are completely flat.
I think it's a great shoe
to go on vacation,
to go from the beach to an evening.
We are as comfortable as in a pair of thongs,
but there is really a superb detail,
a unique detail
that in addition, I like
because it speaks to me completely,
these big flowers like that
at the level of the sandal.
I had a crush on it
that I can't explain.
And so, as you can see here,
the slightest jean,
all lambda,
all basic that it is,
will be highlighted
with this pair of sandals.
So I'll show you another pair of sandals
that I love a lot.
There is a big trend
and I think it's still there this summer
compared to the sandals
that you may have noticed too.
Here, we saw them a little bit everywhere.
These are the rope sandals.
There is a very Greek side,
there is a very Spartan side.
There is something quite raw
that I like in this sandal.
We are completely the opposite
of the very feminine side,
of the flower, etc.
We are really on a rope
that will come subtly like that,
to rest on the ankle.
We are on a rope
that is quite thick in addition.
It really brings a natural side to my style
and I like it a lot.
I like both outfits,
but what I like is that the shoes
are extremely well chosen.
In fact, here we are in the two polarities of my style.
You know, I explain to you
how to find your unique style
by placing your cursor like that
on the style barometer.
And in the two polarities,
precisely, we have the feminine on one side
and we have the masculine on the other side.
In the feminine,
we will have the sandal with the flowers, etc.
And in the masculine, for me,
if we want a slightly more masculine sandal,
we can fall like that
in things a little more organic,
in materials that will be much more raw.
In the rope, which is quite massive
and which still takes up a lot of space on the foot.
But frankly, I love the result.
I find that, precisely,
we will be able to wear these sandals
with a little romantic déo,
quite feminine things,
and find the right compromise like that
of its style barometer.
If you don't know your style barometer
and where you place your cursor
on the style barometer,
well, I invite you to watch this video.
I explain the concept from A to Z.
So, the second tip to style your outfits
when you wear flat shoes
and especially when you're going to be in pants,
and frankly, I do it almost all the time,
all the time when I'm going to have flat shoes
and pants,
even if it's tennis rather in autumn
or even boots, whether it's in winter,
I will always come to roll up
the bottom of my pants.
So, the first thing is that there are many ways
to roll up your pants
and it will also depend on your pants.
We can do one side,
we can do two sides,
we can do a big side,
quite long.
There are many ways to do it
and here, the goal is really to experiment
to see what suits your silhouette
and what suits the pants you wear.
So, I'm still wearing the same jeans.
I show you the front and the back.
I find that rolling up my pants here
will transform it
into a 7-8 pants
and so, by optical effect,
once again,
the legs lengthen.
It brings detail,
so it brings style
and we have the impression
that the pants are too small
for our legs,
for the length of our legs.
It creates an optical effect
and so, in fact,
it lengthens us,
it lengthens the legs.
We say to ourselves,
this pants is maybe a little small for her
so she has very big legs.
Once again,
these are details,
these are really optical effects
and that's what amuses me the most in style.
I have to tell you,
that's why I created this channel
and that's why I'm fascinated by style
because we can create a style that we like,
a style that suits us,
no matter the morphology we have,
no matter the age we have,
no matter the style budget we have
because there is so much to explore
in the optical effects
and in the details that we can put in place.
It's totally fascinating.
And then, the last tip
to style your outfit
when you wear flat
and we will also cross the other theme
which is to launch your outfit,
is to swap your jeans,
as I'm going to do here,
to, in the end,
create a monochrome.
So, I know,
the monochrome,
I show it to you in all the videos.
I mostly abuse
light monochrome,
I love it.
I think it's elegant,
it's fresh
and at the same time,
it really lengthens our silhouette.
But notice,
between the front and the back,
when we have a denim,
even if it's a light denim
and when we have white pants,
even if we're not exactly in the same color
as this beige lace top,
well, we're going to have a monochrome.
We're going to have, like that,
a line that goes from the head to the feet
because, in fact,
we really follow the same color family
for the whole outfit.
It lengthens,
it brings chic,
it's extremely easy to put in place.
In short,
really a winning outfit.
Before I leave,
don't forget to download your practice sheet.
If you want to have the recap
with all the photos,
with the support of the concepts
that I share with you,
that avoids you coming back to the video,
that avoids you saying,
wait, I had kept something
but I don't remember.
You don't need to take notes.
Just download my practice sheet
and like that,
you can also archive it,
you can organize yourself
with your little practice sheets
and you have a beautiful repertoire
that will become,
as time goes by,
videos that I publish.
And for my part,
I'll see you very soon
in a new video.
Bye.
