Hey there foodies! Do you love chocolatey, decadent desserts but you want to keep things healthy?
Look no further because today we are whipping up a delicious treat that's perfect for satisfying
your sweet tooth without any guilt. Welcome back to Beat Healthier where we create and share healthy
vegetarian recipes for you to enjoy. Today's recipe is not only the simplest and the quickest to make
but the taste is absolutely stunning. I already know that you'll want to make this recipe at least
once a week and I promise you won't even miss the unhealthy ingredients. What's amazing about
this recipe is that you don't need any fancy tools like a blender or food processor because you can
do everything with just a fork and a spatula. However if you do have a food processor it will
make the process even faster and easier. So grab your ingredients and let's get started.
In a medium-sized bowl we'll sift half a cup or 50 grams of cacao powder and I encourage you
not to skip this step because it's essential to getting a smooth texture later on. Then we'll add
cinnamon, pinch of salt and one quarter cup or 16 milliliters of melted coconut oil.
Mix it all together until the mixture is thick and smooth. Next up we'll take eight juicy medjool
dates, beat them and mash them with a fork. If your dates are too hard soak them in hot water
before mashing. If you have a blender feel free to use it for this step. Finally we'll add three
quarter cup or 75 grams of coconut flakes to the cacao mixture and mix everything together.
Roll the mixture into small balls and dip them in either coconut flakes or cacao powder. Serve
immediately or store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to seven days.
