Are you already on Wikisana?
Welcome, dear viewers, to our format today, Naturmedizin.
Depression, lethargy, fatigue, not being able to get out of bed,
maybe not being able to cope with what you're going through in everyday life.
These are always challenges that may come to you in a certain phase of life.
But how can we deal with TCM? What recipes are there?
What is actually in balance?
We're going to discuss all of this today with our doctor, Dieter Hölle.
Stay tuned.
Hello, dear Dieter.
Hello, Corinna.
Nice to have you back.
I love the shows with you because we really have this screwed-up worldview,
which we have here of our body.
Somehow I feel that everything makes so much sense through the TCM.
It has such an interplay.
There is such an effect between plant and human and the organs with each other.
And yet I keep hearing that people are really ...
You get the feeling that after these two or three exhausting years,
there is a collective fatigue, lethargy, lack of drive.
I don't know, do you feel that, too?
I feel that, too, quite clearly.
As if the system is collapsing.
Exactly.
Because the tension was just higher, higher, higher.
I would be interested in what you perceive there and how it is in the body.
I think I can say a lot about that.
Because even in my retirement age, I was constantly dealing with the complaints of my fellow humans,
even in my private life.
And I always asked if I had any different tips.
This exhaustion, especially after Covid, this post-Covid exhaustion.
Which also affects younger people.
Yes, younger people.
Who are simply no longer as capable.
And I have that relatively often.
And I think I have good answers for that.
For this exhaustion.
Teenagers also have that.
Yes, of course.
Lying in bed for hours.
I think that's something else.
That's something else, yes.
No, it's already ...
We have medication there and I use it with great success.
In an earlier broadcast, I mentioned these eight treasures for the viewers in this broadcast.
Very strong, building up, strengthening.
In children's medicine, blood-forming is also said.
What does blood mean here?
Also for strength and, of course, for the strengthening of the functions.
Then there are all these mood lighters.
One recipe is called mood lighters.
And I want to show them a little later.
And also the processes that serve as an explanation for this sluggishness, for this tiredness.
Just in advance, a third recipe, which is called aftercare.
There I thought aftercare, after COVID-19 or other long-term illnesses.
Aftercare for exhaustion.
There are different pictures of diseases that can arise after diseases.
And that would be such a picture.
What actually happens in the body?
There is the theory, I don't know if it is the same in the TCM,
that if you go through a disease process like a cold, flu, COVID, pneumonia or something,
that it is also a phase of the life process.
That there is a development, also on a psychological level.
We also know the children when they have a cold or a fever.
That they can walk all of a sudden or more words.
It's nice that you still say that.
Today it is no longer like that.
But I know it from the past and the elders still say that.
It is also correct.
Because you also go through processes.
Development processes.
Because of the fever and so on, it's like hypothermia.
You also work through topics when you have experienced it.
There are also pictures or fever dreams and such stories.
Exactly.
And I think it's really a shame that sometimes these diseases are abbreviated.
Either by antibiotics or abbreviated by fever-reducing drugs.
I think you don't need that at all.
I don't think I've ever had a fever in my whole life.
I've never used it in my whole therapy.
It always went wonderfully like this.
In case of emergency, through cervical vertebrae.
Unfortunately also no longer known to our young mothers.
Recently someone asked me, what should I do?
I say cervical vertebrae.
What is that?
Cervical vertebrae, how does that work?
But she was already 50.
She wasn't that young anymore.
Okay.
Yes.
A lot of knowledge is lost there, how to treat it.
Today you have to have a fever pill right away.
And with that you take the child into the growth process.
Because a lot happens in fever.
Also strengthening of the immune system.
Training of the specific immune system.
So aimed at certain diseases.
And that is actually lost.
Now it's like this.
When we have an adult, when we talk about depression and drivelessness.
And you really had such a crippling infection in advance.
There are really adults now, they can't get a fever.
Yes, they really have an infection.
You can also see from the values.
The body should actually have a fever.
But nothing comes.
But I already call that a disease.
If you can't get a fever.
Because fever always starts all the processes in the body and also cleanses.
In fever the body can really detoxify.
He can organize.
He can make things clearer again.
Not only the physical, but also the mental.
Yes.
And that's why we used to say.
The child made a development leap after this disease.
And you don't always have to do everything the same way.
With lowering fever, killing bacteria.
Especially since these are mostly not bacteria at all.
But viruses that make the fever.
Yes, of course.
Now there are of course people who, after a very demanding life phase.
What we really had for two or three years.
Now in such a depression.
What is a depression at all?
How do I even notice that?
Is it when I don't get out of bed in the morning, for example?
Or when I don't get my usual standards, which I have always managed so far.
With jogging and so on.
No longer implemented.
I started as an assistant doctor in psychiatry.
And there we asked certain things.
There was no laboratory value.
There is no such thing as depression today.
You have to find it out that way.
And it was important to ask the right questions.
For example, how do you get out of bed?
How do you feel in the morning?
Do you feel better in the morning or in the evening?
Do you still go out with friends?
That doesn't work anymore.
Especially with young people.
To be very, very critical in the phase of poverty.
Or do you still do leisure activities?
Sports events.
Do you do sports yourself?
These are all important questions to get closer to this disease.
But caring for friendships.
If all of this fails,
then you have to think at least of the disease depression.
Depression means from the symptomatology,
just the aforementioned,
but it also means that I am sluggish,
that I am weak,
that I can't get up for anything anymore,
that I, as I mentioned,
no longer visit friends,
that I don't go out in the evening,
that my school performance
in young people, for example, is drastically decreasing.
And then you have to think,
aha, that could be a depression.
And burnout is such a story,
such a twitter in between,
has the same symptoms.
And some also say burnout is a depression.
The symptoms are almost identical,
you have to say.
Are they?
How do you see it then?
I would also say that
you have a lot of power on a certain line of life,
that the body is simply looking for this balance.
And there are two ways to deal with it with us.
Either total self-judgment
and somehow trying to get out of it medically,
or you really take this female principle
and say, I'm going to give up this process now.
I have also called for the other process.
What you say is very important
and also belongs to the medical activity
to call for it,
that you can give in to it.
When you are tired, when you are weak,
when you are sluggish,
you need the mirror,
in principle, of friends,
of girlfriends, of parents.
Alone you often get into such a gap,
where there is a limit between exhaustion
in the healthy area,
because I have taken over,
then it would be something natural.
And then, when it is natural,
I also need this regeneration,
this rest, these breaks.
And I have to take them, I have to treat them.
So there is no such thing as recharging.
You say, you have to be a little careful
that you don't get stuck in it,
in such a continuous loop.
Or can I really say,
if I have this symptomatology,
without drive, shortness of breath,
we also have the topic now,
that I just say,
I am now working with powerful mixtures.
I give up this fatigue and everything,
I let my body really feel it,
but at the same time I use
really strengthening plants, mushrooms,
so that my system,
or the Qi of life,
comes back into force.
Exactly.
And then it lifts itself out of itself.
So Qi of life is correct,
because Qi deficiency
are directly the symptoms
of depression, ultimately.
It is identical.
Qi deficiency means being sluggish,
having trouble breathing,
being physically weak,
having a weak voice,
that you find it difficult to speak,
and that you find it difficult
to perform physically.
And if it's just climbing stairs,
you can't do that.
Three weeks ago,
I jumped up the stairs,
I didn't think about it.
Now I have to stand up
and I can't breathe anymore.
These are things you have to take into account.
And I think you absolutely need
a good social connection
with friends who say to you,
you are different, you have changed,
take a look at this or that.
Yes.
I think it's important
to have a mirror.
In Buddhism there is a saying,
a good friend
always has the task
to insult you.
That means to have a mirror,
to show him how you are,
and how you have changed.
And it's important
to have such friends.
They are not always the ones
who say,
this is good what you are doing,
you are the greatest,
you are the best,
the most beautiful,
but they also show the other side.
And to say that,
and to say that early on,
not only when they are
adults,
that you learn early on
to make things clear.
Yes.
How would you,
which blends, tea blends,
would you really build up
and strengthen?
For the psyche,
or also for the lungs?
Yes, from the book
I could recommend
the mood enhancer,
you can remember that well.
That would be this pragmatic term.
It is also just
Qi-enhancing,
blood-moving,
blood-enhancing.
So the things
that convey vitality,
they are strengthened
in a mixture.
And the mood enhancer
is very well suited
to take the right one.
You can make a lot of mistakes
in this area.
Also the
in other senses
discussed
sluggishness
would also be a symptom.
So,
Qi deficiency,
blood deficiency
as a result
sluggishness,
impotence.
And what else
comes with real depression,
that they often have problems
with their voice,
that they
often can't speak well anymore,
can't speak clearly anymore,
that they
overlap in their voice.
So not the normal sluggishness,
when you have an overloaded voice,
through singing
or through speaking a lot,
but
the unusual,
that in the normal everyday life,
when you speak with pleasure,
you can't speak well anymore.
This is also a sign of depression.
You have also
in your practice
always
made holistic diagnostics
with pulse and tongue
and the whole topic.
How do you recognize
that the Qi of life
really needs
a little support?
Yes,
a relaxation of the pulse strength,
a relaxation
of the important signs
concerning Qi,
as we also have.
If someone is only pale,
white,
he doesn't have good vitality.
If someone has beautiful red cheeks,
you know,
this is a good sign.
This is the same
in Chinese medicine.
The color
that someone has,
but also,
like with us,
the appetite,
when someone just
walks around
and eats,
then something is wrong.
This can also be
a sign of depression.
In therapy,
we strengthen
the milk
that is responsible
for the development,
for the building,
for the formation of Qi.
Qi, again,
for those who
maybe don't know,
is a substance
in Chinese medicine
that is not visible.
You can only recognize it
by its action,
what it does.
Qi is the substance
that gives us strength,
that warms us,
that protects us,
that also strengthens
our defense.
When all these things
fall out,
I know,
there is a lack of Qi.
Okay.
Yes.
That's how it is described
in our teaching,
Qi.
Qi strengthens,
protects,
keeps the organs in place.
So,
someone who has depression
also has weak organs,
and then there are
organ and kidney
depressions,
milk depressions.
Is that just
a saying
or is it
something
you really feel
as a doctor?
Because depression
means that
it falls down,
doesn't it?
No,
depression means
slipping,
really,
in our medicine.
There are low depressions,
that's the term
for it,
for example.
So,
they really change
from place to place.
Yes, exactly.
And what changes
in depression
is the potency.
Of course,
there is a weakness,
the ability
to have an erection,
the ability
to ejaculate.
Depression
usually
means
everything.
When a person
needs strength,
it just falls down.
That's also
a factor of depression.
Many people,
of course,
also have
sleep problems.
That's also
a cycle,
isn't it?
That's
when they don't
get out of bed
in the morning.
That can be
a phase
where I say,
I've done a lot,
now I've prepared
for the exam,
now I've done
the final exam,
now I'm really
knocked out,
it can be
completely fine.
Okay.
But just laying in bed...
Is there also
sleep problems
when you're depressed
that you don't
sleep well anymore?
Yes, sleep problems.
When you're awake at night?
Yes, sleep problems.
Also with sleep problems?
Yes.
So that also
regulates itself?
Exactly.
Okay.
But that's...
For example,
I had a friend
who slept a lot.
I came to him at 4
and he was still
in bed,
but he wasn't sick.
He just
rested.
Puberty
and we slept
until 6.
It got dark again
in the winter
and he was still
in bed.
Yes, I threw him
out again,
but that was
not a disease.
That wasn't a depression?
That wasn't a depression,
no.
Of course,
he went through
everything.
When he got up again,
he was fit
and everything was clear.
Okay, so there was
nothing to do at all.
Yes, but if someone
is so lazy
that he can't
get out of bed
anymore,
that he can't
take care of himself
anymore,
that can be
very painful.
Yes.
How do you
also highlight
phases of life
in TCM?
You know,
we have the midlife
crisis,
or
turning points,
years of change,
or
points of change
in life.
You do that
in China.
We look at
the phases of life
and we share
them.
In therapeutic medicine
you do these
7 years
and there you
also do 7
or 8 years,
depending on
which province
you are in.
There is also
a division of
phases of life,
from young people
to old people
and try to
eat certain
behaviors,
drink,
play,
yes,
how they
increase or
decrease.
Especially in
old age,
there are
very harsh
words that
you say,
also physically
now,
you say
when these
phases of life
increase
or decrease
you say
when these
life forces
that you bind
with the
term Qing,
essence,
that is
passed on
from the
mothers
and
from the
fathers,
that is
passed on
from the
elders,
that you
get along
with them
well or
not so
well.
The
lack of
Qi,
as we
said,
is a
very
important
thing.
You
say
that you
have to
be with
the parents
so that
you don't
have to
clean up.
Yes,
but these
are things
that
weaken the
Qing.
And then
you say
in the
youth
it's
all okay,
when you
read
Qing
and
it's
all
okay.
Yes,
I
never
read
Qing
and
I
don't
know
what
it means
for me,
but
I
read
Qing
and
that
was
very
interesting
for me
and
I
always
but here also this reinforcement of will to live, of drive, of raising the mood.
I have that in the eight treasures in the mixture.
They really seem to be a bit multitasking.
Yes, and the mood booster is especially for the depressive.
And a very important medicine, because it is also able to give the drive,
because it is able to stimulate the milk, that it produces more Qi and blood.
That is important to consider.
So the two are to be combined or to decide for one?
You can combine well, very well even.
The mood booster with other things that strengthen the milk.
So from the food, the warming, the cooling, the melting.
The milk has certain wishes.
It loves the warmth, it hates the stress.
So business food, for example, that's what the milk doesn't like at all.
It doesn't like to be distracted.
It likes to stay with what it actually eats.
So the ability to be attentive, the ability to be able to concentrate,
are all also functions of the milk.
And they are strengthened by this recipe mood booster.
Nice.
How do I turn on these mixtures?
So if I really want to use it therapeutically,
I take it in the morning, so I order this mixture in a pharmacy.
Exactly.
Do you pay attention to anything special?
Actually not.
So you can order it like this.
Okay, so not somewhere online or something?
Yes, online.
You can order it at the Kempten Pharmacy, at the Rosen Pharmacy.
Relatively simple and easy.
Good.
And what do I have to pay attention to?
So how long do I have to take it?
When?
At what time of day?
Yes, these are standard recipes.
You have to pay attention to it.
Then I have to somehow make sure that I get something else.
Either ask a doctor or my condition gets much better.
Then I would take it.
I feel like I have reached such a level.
I feel good.
I have such a standard.
I get along super well with it.
Then it's okay.
But as soon as the symptoms subside, when I change again,
then I have to, if it doesn't work out with this mixture,
I have to see a doctor.
So it's a tea then?
In principle, it's a tea, yes.
And do I take it three times a day or only in the morning or in the evening?
So there is usually a measuring spoon with you.
On average, you either take the whole amount of water,
i.e. six spoons, dissolve it in water,
drink it over a day,
or you take three times two measuring spoons,
take a cup, dilute it and drink it.
Okay.
Usually there is a note with you,
because it is not always the same with every remedy.
Ah, all right.
Okay, great.
This is also adjusted, of course.
Yes, perfect.
So thank you, Dieter.
It was a nice look around again.
Is it over again?
Yes.
Really?
With you, time goes by so quickly,
because there are so many tips and tricks.
Or do you have anything else important to say at the end?
Yes, I wanted to say something.
You have to think of something right away.
Tiredness, lethargy, shortness of breath we still had.
Exactly.
Yes, also the wear of increased mucus formation,
because the mucus no longer follows.
If you can't build a ski,
you can't process the mucus, the negative.
And then there is this weariness,
the severe joint pains.
And you also have joint pain
when you rub the weariness over the mucus in the joints.
Is the mucus-releasing agent also in the two mixtures?
Yes.
Yes, good.
Super.
There is usually pruria,
which is a fungus, a healing fungus,
which is often used in China,
which excretes too much liquid
and the slime dissolves and breaks down.
Yes, okay, great.
So thank you.
You're welcome.
It was a nice look around.
Good.
See you soon.
Bye.
Dear viewers,
I hope you were able to take one or the other trick with you,
if you are suffering from the topics,
to really experience a reinforcement there again.
And thank you very much for watching.
See you soon.
Bye.
