Hi and welcome to a new video of mine.
Friends, if you're a part of the fitness community,
if you're a bit into the fitness game or are just getting into it,
then this video is for you.
Because today it's about the dark sides of fitness that cannot be underestimated.
Today I want to shed some light on the dangers in this fitness bubble.
And especially as a fitness influencer,
even though I don't quite like the term,
I can shed some light on it from a different perspective.
There are things that worry me a bit, that cannot be underestimated.
The hype for fitness is increasing year after year.
Which is good in the first place.
And I want to stress this right at the beginning.
I love fitness.
You know I'm passionate about fitness.
It has so many advantages.
Fitness can really change your whole life for the better.
I definitely want to say that.
But still, I don't think you should close your eyes to the dangers that it brings with it.
Because if you're aware of certain things,
you can deal with them in a completely different way.
Whether it's the gym, clean eating, eating disorders,
unattainable body images, false role models, all of that.
I asked you on Instagram for your questions.
So where's my phone?
And I'm going to answer them today.
And at the same time, we're going to cook and talk.
We're going to cook together very comfortably.
I thought of a couscous chickpea salad.
Perfect for the summer, for grilling, as a snack,
to take with you for lunch, whatever.
Let's do it.
The exact recipe, exact ingredients and so on can be found in the info box.
Because I don't want to have to tell you the steps again while talking to you.
So feel free to check out the info box.
By the way, we're going to start the recipe with the chickpeas.
We're going to put them in the oven.
You can also just take some out of the can,
if you don't have the time to roast them a bit.
But I think it's really delicious.
And while we're cooking and eating,
let's start with the topic of food,
the topic of nutrition, clean eating.
What do you think about it?
What do you think about good, bad food?
With clean eating, you understand that you eat only clean,
so natural, as much unprocessed food as possible.
Which is basically not a bad thing.
Because, yes, we all know that processed foods are not healthy.
But, but, but, friends,
the dose makes the poison a balanced one.
Nutrition also includes a pack of chips
or a bar of chocolate or something else.
And the problem with clean eating is that,
when it takes over,
it really limits people.
You can't go out to eat with friends
because they just want to look at this clean diet.
I just don't like this black and white thinking
about food.
This is healthy, this is unhealthy.
Of course, there are healthier and unhealthier foods.
But the dose makes the poison.
And many people just forget about it.
I always think it's a shame.
Maybe this is a point in the fitness bubble
that I think is a shame and that often takes over.
That absolute enjoyment and quality of life are lost.
You're just looking at your protein intake,
your caloric intake.
Actually, I feel like fitness is something healthy.
You're busy with your own body, you want to be fit.
But it often drifts in a completely different direction.
Which is okay.
Everyone can do what they want with their life.
And if it's just about optimizing,
you want to look like this and that, that's okay.
But you have to be aware that it's no longer healthy.
Whether it's extreme muscles,
whether it's extreme mass phases,
whether it's almost no regeneration,
just more intense training.
Whether it's eating, but also training.
And it's often not clearly communicated.
It's just about what I look like, what my body is like,
what I want to achieve, what I want to look like in half a year.
And I just think that's a shame.
So now I'm going to put them in the oven.
Everyone can pursue their goal, what they want.
You just have to be aware of what that means for your health.
And I have decided or decide
that fitness means health to me.
I want to live in a fit body.
I want to eat balanced.
I just want to be able to move.
I want to be flexible.
That's why I stretch, for example.
I just want to live in a healthy body.
And that often doesn't fit together with extreme building up,
with extreme losing weight, with six-pack, with just training.
But of course everyone has to find their own way.
And it's okay for everyone to go their own way.
But just be aware of what that often means for your own body.
I just want to emphasize that now.
Now, just before we start,
let's just pour the couscous over with hot water.
That's so practical with couscous.
You don't have to cook it in a pot.
You can just pour it over with twice the amount of hot water.
So Vivi, let's do one now.
I'm already making a big portion.
I have now also taken a whole can of chickpeas.
If we're already on the topic of healthy lifestyles,
feel free to check out the info box.
There you can find my cookbook for a healthy, balanced diet.
A lot of great fitness recipes.
A lot of knowledge about it.
Of course, you can also find my own brand, Confitly,
where I have now also launched the fitness products.
And of course Prozis with my discount code POLINA10.
You get an infinite number of products
for a healthy diet, for a healthy lifestyle.
So feel free to check out the info box below
and check out the links.
But let's continue.
Let's stay on the topic of nutrition.
The question is, how does counting calories look like for me?
Do I count calories?
Do I find counting calories dangerous?
Well, I don't count calories.
Just to answer that.
I've done it before and again
to get a feeling for it.
But now we're getting right to the danger.
Yikes!
I think it's dangerous.
This extreme tracking,
this extreme thought about food
just poses a danger.
Simply that you get an unhealthy relationship to food.
You just don't see it as a pleasure anymore.
Just, okay, I'll cover everything up.
I'll count my calories.
I'll count my proteins.
I'll count this and that.
Being too extreme is just not good.
And just be aware of that.
I think it's great that you get a feeling for it.
It's just so subjective.
Some people think they eat really healthy.
They eat really little.
They eat a lot.
But that's often a lie.
And that's why it definitely makes sense.
Especially when it's about losing weight,
about gaining weight.
Where you're supposed to get a certain calorie deficit
or excess.
It's helpful and often necessary.
But really only for a limited period of time
I would recommend it.
Let's just put a little bit of soup powder over it.
And then it can pull nicely.
And in the meantime, we're just cutting all kinds of vegetables.
Everything you just want to put in.
Yes, and then we may come to such a topic as
because many have asked what it looks like for me.
Have I ever had an unhealthy relationship to food?
Have I ever had an eating disorder?
Eating disorders are also very common in the fitness bubble.
Of course not only, of course.
From binge eating to obesity, to all kinds of hot hunger attacks.
Just not a healthy relationship.
You just slip in so quickly.
And that's why I'm very, very, very happy that I've never been confronted with it.
Because I've never had any problems.
And I can really only recommend it to you if you somehow have the feeling
there could be a little something.
Then it's usually like that.
Because otherwise you don't just have the feeling.
And really look for professional help.
It's just such a vicious circle where you often only get out so hard.
What can really accompany such a whole life
and what can destroy the whole life.
It's just so sad.
And that's maybe a question anyway.
Because some have asked, do you make a lot of thoughts about my body,
about my appearance, whether I compare a lot again and so on.
If I were to say that, no.
So appearance doesn't matter to me at all.
I would just lie.
And I think that's the least of it.
And of course that's also part of why I do fitness.
Because it's a very nice side effect.
That it's just visible.
Or it becomes visible that you eat healthy, that you train and so on.
But as I said, it's not the main priority for me.
But yes, of course it's just a topic for me.
And in terms of comparison, I really have to say that social media is not without it.
But I think it's in a relatively healthy extent for me.
You definitely tap me on it more often.
That I think, oh, she looks like this, why don't I look like this, and so on, and so on, and so on.
And no matter how perfect someone looks, they are at least satisfied with themselves.
That means you will probably always compare yourself.
No matter what you have already achieved.
And never really be satisfied.
That's kind of a shame.
Because how boring it would be if everyone looked the same.
And I know, they always say that.
That's just such a saying.
Maybe you can't hear it anymore.
But it's really like that.
Everyone is individual.
And the genetics, that's also the case with the fitness topic.
That's just so decisive.
Some people may already have a rounder or flatter butt from the start.
Others put on fat faster on the belly or on the thighs.
Have more pronounced abdominal muscles than others.
These are just things that you can't influence that much.
And if you compare them too much with others, it just kills you.
Some things are just really unattainable even for yourself.
But I'll tell you something.
My illness story, the last few weeks.
Somehow they showed me what really counts in life.
Because I haven't been able to do sports for a long time.
Also in any case removed at all possible places.
The belly.
It still feels a bit sloppy with the scars and so on.
Sure, I think back and forth, it would be good again.
But it just showed me what really counts.
And I'll tell you what it is.
It's not everything in life.
And sometimes you just have to remember that.
It's clear that you pay attention to nutrition, that you move enough, that you do sports.
That's important, because that's how you stay healthy.
And that's what it's all about.
And not how you look.
And we can be so grateful every day.
If you look at what the body does every day.
For example, when I couldn't get up after the surgery.
I thought, that's crazy.
These are movements that you don't even realize.
You just get up.
But when you can't do that anymore, you realize.
Actually, you can be so satisfied with the body.
Be so grateful.
And whether you have a little more fat than someone else.
Or a little more cellulite.
Or less.
It just doesn't count at the end of the day.
I have a question about my opinion on six-pack for women.
And I have to say.
You have to be aware of that.
A six-pack for women usually means.
Of course, there is a lot of genetics.
But still a very low body fat percentage.
Especially for women.
And often you have the feeling on social media.
All these fitness women.
You have to have a six-pack.
What does that mean for the life of these women?
I don't want to judge this fair.
As I said at the beginning.
But you should be aware that often.
As I said, not always.
I want to be careful with my formulations.
Is no longer healthy.
And that is perhaps the keyword.
False role models.
Bad role models.
Unreachable body images.
Where should I start?
The topic is so big.
Muscular, well-trained.
Perfectly visible body.
But these are often only so difficult.
Reachable or healthy.
And I think a role model.
Should always give you a good feeling.
Simply convey a good feeling.
And not give the feeling.
You should look like this.
But I really want to look like this.
Release pressure.
It should be something motivating.
And often it goes with self-doubt.
Dissatisfaction.
And so on.
And I would really recommend you.
It may sound a bit radical.
But if we stay with social media.
Because there you often have these role models.
Separate yourself.
In the sense of chasing people.
Who don't do you good.
So if you have an influencer.
Where you have the feeling.
And I hope it's not me.
Because without now somehow.
But I really try.
That he conveys a healthy picture.
And gives you a good feeling.
But if you have the feeling.
I'm not doing well.
Then just follow.
Look at your health.
What you often find too bad.
Or so difficult.
That was also a question.
With false promises.
If, for example.
Someone says.
With my workout.
You can build up such a body.
But you know.
Not with this workout.
But for example in the gym.
Or maybe she even operated her butt.
And then says.
With this workout you get such a butt.
Then I really get goose bumps.
Because I think it's so bad.
Because that's just lying and deceiving.
And I'm so sorry.
Because so many don't know that.
I see it from the look.
That I know.
That's almost impossible.
Except for genetics.
And I always say.
I train 95% with my own home workout.
Then there were 7.
Because otherwise.
I would have a completely different body.
I'm not extremely defined.
I'm not extremely muscular.
That's just not my goal.
And it's okay.
If someone likes to train in the gym.
And has muscles.
But then you have to say.
With this workout.
You can't achieve that.
That's just such a topic.
What is so dangerous on social media.
What the picture is so extremely falsified.
There are such poses.
There is such a poster.
And then normal there.
I think it's so good that more and more show that.
Nevertheless.
Because I showed a little cellulite on Instagram the other day.
And just meant.
Yes, that's just normal.
But nevertheless I said.
I think it's important that you are aware.
That you can't demand that from anyone.
You should just think about it.
If you were in the position yourself.
Would you show that?
For thousands of people.
Would you just show your weaknesses?
And many voted.
And said no, they wouldn't.
And that's exactly what it is.
You can't demand.
Because if you post something.
Then you want to present it from the best side.
I think that's just something human.
And that's why I think it's better.
Just the whole content.
To enjoy with caution.
And just have in mind.
Aha, yes, that will be posted now.
And of course I think it's super good.
And beautiful.
And for me personally it is also important.
That I also show the reality.
Unposted things.
Problem areas.
Although I don't like that word at all.
Because they shouldn't be problem areas.
But normal things.
But I think you shouldn't.
Demand from anyone.
I don't think that's a bad example.
Because as I said.
Maybe you wouldn't do it yourself.
Or don't do it either.
We continue.
Sport compulsion.
What experiences I have with it.
If I have a bad conscience.
If I don't train.
The next big topic.
What I also find so sad.
Because here, too, the balance is lost.
I'm not like that anymore.
What's good for me?
What am I afraid of?
Or why do I feel like I have to do it now?
That you just take a look.
Do I have the fear that it will build up immediately?
Because I can calm you down.
It takes two weeks.
That you see a little change.
You can be sick for a long time.
And of course it happens a little.
Then you build up again.
There's nothing wrong with it.
I haven't been able to train for over a month.
Since the operation.
As I want.
I'm so happy.
That I understood the operation well.
That I'm healthy again.
That I concentrate on the future.
What the future brings.
How it goes on there.
I'm back.
Don't stress yourself too much.
I think it's a shame.
If you see life as a stress burden.
If you can't do what you want.
If you can't be so free.
This is my appeal to you.
Make sure you are healthy.
But that the whole thing is in balance.
Have you ever had period loss?
Period loss due to too much fitness.
That's something I mentioned before.
Unfortunately, it is very common in the fitness scene.
I know a lot of people don't even talk about it.
A lot of people think it's normal.
Now construction workers came.
They are all around the house.
They are watching me a little.
It's a big topic.
Also with too much training stress.
I'll tell you what it is.
At the latest, the alarm clocks should ring.
It is a clear sign of the body that something is wrong.
Of course, it has to do with fitness.
But when it comes to fitness.
When you go extreme.
The hormone balance can be disrupted.
It also has health consequences.
Also fertility.
So look for medical help.
Think about your lifestyle.
Think about whether it's worth it.
Whether I had the problem.
Fortunately, I didn't.
I'm very happy about that.
I don't want to judge.
I just want to know.
I know a lot of fitness influencers.
I think it's crazy.
I think the peaches are done.
With my beautiful confit.
I'll let it cool down a bit.
Meanwhile, I'll make the dressing.
Then the peaches come in.
It looks delicious.
What do you think about the dead girl trend?
If anyone doesn't even know what it is.
women show their routine and say dead girl, get up at five in the morning,
make a healthy smoothie, go jogging for an hour,
do meditation for an hour. And what I think is a shame,
or let's get to the point, I don't think it's good, because it somehow
ignites how you should be, how you should live, this pressure,
this beauty ideal or generally ideal, how you should live.
Especially because it's often really unrealistic images
that women really do, it's actually ...
Sometimes you just have to switch on the house breakfast.
You can't imagine that all of them, maybe a few,
but that all of them actually get up at five in the morning
and their routine looks like this. And then it's totally lost
with the trend that you pay attention to your own needs.
Because you want to follow the trend and don't pay attention
to your own needs, what your own body needs,
find your own routine and just ...
Yes, just, just, just. Perfect.
Then you have a bit of a crunch in the whole thing.
So, and now we're actually already at the end of the video.
I really hope that I was able to open your eyes a little
and that I was able to open your eyes,
that I was able to bring things closer to you,
that I was able to show you how important it is
that you should work less stress, less pressure, less frustration,
less ... just against the body,
that you should simply live a healthy, balanced, balanced lifestyle,
that you should not lose the pleasure of life,
that you should be aware of the dangers that exist,
to look exactly at how to deal with things,
don't compare yourself too much, don't put too much pressure on yourself.
I hope that's over now.
And I hope I can give you one or the other tip
or give it to you visually.
And yes, now let's try the salad.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Really delicious.
Really perfect for the summer.
And yes, I hope you enjoyed the video.
I would be very, very, very happy about the comments,
about your feedback, about a thumbs up.
And then we'll see each other again next time.
Take care, live your beautiful, unique life.
And I'll see you next time. Bye!
