How did the Chinese farmland cover the deserts?
Hello everyone!
China is well-known to the world for its drama about the fight for sovereignty
or the recent COVID-19 pandemic that has still affected millions of people to this day.
But today we will temporarily ignore those things and talk about the development of agriculture in this country.
More specifically, the process of covering large deserts has lasted for decades in China.
If you are interested in this topic, please continue to watch the video to go from this joke to another joke.
About the results that farmers as well as the Chinese government have achieved, let's start!
Do you know what China's land looked like about 30 years ago?
Speaking of terrain, most of it is dry desert, not covered with green trees like now.
Imagine a land of tens of thousands of square meters, but full of wind, sun and sand.
Without taking a house, a green tree or any animals, it is enough to see how different it is.
But that was China in the past, and now it's very different.
From the perspective of the Chinese government, they have seen the potential for the construction of extremely large deserts
into agricultural fields full of fat.
And so they got to work right away.
The first step was to plant trees to limit the consequences when sandstorms hit the deserts.
From 1959, which has lasted for decades to now,
the people and the local government have made the impossible possible,
turning the desert into a vast agricultural field.
The recovery started from the Muuz Desert.
This desert has a relatively large area of about 42,000 square kilometers.
But if you look at the map now, you probably don't recognize Muuz
because it was almost erased when up to 93% of the total area was completely covered with green.
You are not mistaken, exactly 93% of that 42,000 square kilometers.
It's amazing.
Not all, Muuz is not the only desert covered with green in this country.
Taklimakan is also one of the large deserts implemented by the Chinese government
agricultural policy of green cover.
They persisted in planting trees on each small sandstone
with the ambition to turn the desert into a forest.
Talk a little later about Taklimakan.
Next to this desert, there is a city called Aksu.
According to the information transmitted,
in the early days, Aksu was not a livable city.
You know the reason.
Next to the desert, how can you avoid the harsh weather?
Staying for a few days is still bearable,
but to say stay forever, just go somewhere else cooler for it to cool down.
Why do you have to stay there, breathe the dust
and bear the sweat dripping down?
Thinking about it scares me.
At the moment, Aksu is covered with sand 100 days a year.
It's like a picture.
Every 2 days, play in the quiet sea,
there will be a day living in a foggy fog,
the more sand, the more dust.
The weather is so harsh that it is very difficult to plant trees on land
because the amount of dirt in the ground is always very high
and there is almost no rain.
In the face of that situation, in 1986,
the Chinese government decided to change Taklimakan
with a green cover project called Kekeya
to bring new breath to the city of Aksu.
The swans waiting for the water from tens of kilometers away,
the people all over the place also responded
and jointly carried out the Kekeya project.
Thanks to this project, the number of days
covered by sand in Aksu has decreased
to 80 days a year.
The climate has also become more comfortable
and more favorable from dry to hot.
Today, when you come to Aksu,
you will see the apples that are very delicious
and can be sold.
They are planted right on the dry, dusty land.
Other trees, such as tea or dogwood,
are also very developed
and have abundant yield.
It can be seen that the Kekeya green cover project
has made the impossible possible,
turning thoughts into reality
and turning the desert into a tree forest.
The participants are no different
from doctors, engineers or farmers,
the elderly or the young.
They worked together to plant trees
twice a year for nearly 3 decades.
It is estimated that nearly 3.4 million people
participated in the project and planted trees.
130 million are the number of trees planted in this project.
The result is a tree that does not make you younger
If you look at the satellite,
people will not be surprised
when a large area has gradually
changed from the gray color of the sand
to the green color of the tree.
That area has an area of about 890,308 hectares,
which is not a small number,
and to reach that number,
it takes a lot of time and effort
of millions of people.
Speaking of this,
I naturally feel the happiness of the people in my country,
but I also love Vietnam so much
when the climate is always clear,
and there are no sandstorms all year round.
And although I don't have many good feelings
about what these people have done
to us in the past until now,
I have to admit that they are too good
and determined in their efforts to bring
a good life back to the people and their country.
I have a compliment for you,
if you treat me reasonably later,
it's not my fault.
