TOEIC is a hacker. English is also a hacker. High score maker. I got a perfect score.
Hello, I'm Park Il-hye from the Hacker Academy.
Today, I'm going to give a total review of the TOEIC exam on October 14th.
I think the most important thing about the total review is that there are two aspects.
The first is the most one-dimensional thing.
Checking the answer to the exam you saw.
In fact, this is important, but I don't think it's an ultimate goal.
In my opinion, what is the ultimate purpose of this total review?
Fixing the outline of the small reading.
What do you think about this sentence?
Generally, fixing the outline of the small reading.
It may sound a bit negative, but I think we need to fix the outline of the small reading.
When? When we study, when we take the exam, we need to be able to do that well enough.
Why? There are a lot of people who graduated from TOEIC after today's exam,
There are a lot of people who graduated from TOEIC after today's exam,
Through this total review today,
Be sure to give feedback on what you are wrong today.
I'll point out the points so that you don't get it wrong in the next test.
And if you promote the Hacker Academy site for a while,
Our Hacker Academy site has a lot of RC and LC problems that can be solved every day.
And there's a lot of English data.
If you have time, I recommend you to visit once.
Let's look at the first problem.
Actually, I'd like to mention this once.
It's a mention of difficulty.
But in fact, other academies and our teachers,
When I mention this difficulty, I usually put in the middle.
Because when I see it, it's like an A.
But if you write an A, from the students' point of view,
I had a hard time, and then there are some embarrassing moments.
If I reveal my conviction, I think this part 5 is right.
But I don't want to be cursed, so I'll say it's a medium today.
But I don't think I'm in the middle.
It was a little flat.
So there was one thing that was confusing, but it was a general and flat difficulty.
And if I mention 6 a little bit, 6 seemed to be close to medium.
Yes, let's go into 5.
The first was a question about wishing and wishing.
The point of this question is the subject-related pronoun.
This is a problem that always occurs.
Let's stop the page for a moment and solve the problem.
If you look at this sentence, it is a place to take a verb after the subject-related pronoun,
but in the end, the focus of this sentence is the subject-related pronoun.
The standard of the subject-related pronoun in the subject-related pronoun is the preceding noun in front of the subject-related pronoun.
Because there is a plural form called the volunteers in front of the subject-related pronoun,
the answer to this question is wishing.
It wasn't that difficult, but it's always a problem, so I hope you know it.
Let's look at the next question. This is very important.
I always emphasize to the students, but the subject-related pronoun problem comes up every time I take a test.
There are times when two problems come out like this test, but what came out of this test?
What came out?
The subject-related pronoun came out, and now the noun came out like this time.
In fact, this subject-related pronoun is not that difficult, so I will focus on the noun rather than dealing with it in this chapter.
First of all, let me tell you the answer.
Themselves is... There's a typo.
Them and selves are attached.
The answer is, first of all, themselves was the answer.
You should be able to see the point of attendance.
I'm asking you how to emphasize the subject-related pronoun.
If you've heard a lot of my class, you'll know, but I'm not a teacher who emphasizes skills like that.
I'm the type of person who emphasizes the basics.
Nevertheless, if I tell you some skills,
I always have a place to emphasize.
TOEIC is ultimately a battle of seats.
I'll give you an empty space.
I'll give you a perfect sentence for the rest of the sentences, and I'll give you an empty space.
Do you want to take a picture of what can go into this empty space?
This is the essence of TOEIC.
It's the essence of Part 5.
But what came out of today's test was the location of the empty space.
The location of the empty space is located at the very end.
And if the location of the empty space itself is composed of a person's pronoun,
then it's highly likely that the subject pronoun is the answer.
I don't like to say,
If it's here, it's this and that.
If it's there, it's this and that.
I really don't like this.
But there's a high possibility here.
I'm not just talking.
I'll explain why.
The way to emphasize the subject pronoun.
This is what we're going to learn today.
I'll look at it like this.
If you look at the example, I'll look at it like this.
Let's say there's a kid in the U.S.
This kid fixed the fence.
But I have to make it clear to my mother.
Mom, I fixed the fence.
Rather than just saying this,
Mom, I fixed the fence.
I'm a kid, but I fixed it.
What's going in to emphasize this?
That's the subject pronoun.
The location of the subject pronoun is important.
The location of the subject pronoun can come out at the end, as in today's test.
How?
This is the nuance when you read it.
I've repaired the fence myself.
Mom, I fixed it.
But you have to do one more thing.
What kind of place is it?
The subject pronoun can come out at the end, as in this sentence and today.
It can come out right after the noun you want to decorate.
Wait a minute.
So you can say this.
Mom, I myself repair the fence.
It can come out right after the noun you want to decorate.
This place can come out next time, so I recommend you to watch it.
And the last problem is very important.
Actually, in this problem,
The only thing you're confused about is their own.
Why?
I always emphasize this to my students.
These words are not that difficult to read in a book.
But if this is a real problem,
Then it's really a bulk-up.
Their own.
What you need to focus on here is
Their own can go in and make it feel like a noun.
At that time, it's not just their own.
You have to put on in the front.
This is important.
So if you look at the last problem again,
I repair the fence.
It's not me, it's on my own.
What is this?
It means the same as myself.
It's my own feeling.
You have to know this.
Next problem.
Relying and reliable.
The starting point for this test is
The most came out.
You have to be able to remember this place.
If the most comes out,
In general, an adjective comes out behind it.
Why?
Because the most came out in the front,
Of course, an adjective should come out in the back.
But what you need to know one more thing.
Relying and reliable.
You have to be able to distinguish this.
Relying is the subject.
What the subject actively believes in.
This is relying.
On the other hand, the subject is not a person.
There's a company out there.
Oh, that company is very reliable.
That's not relying, it's reliable.
Do you understand?
So how did it come out in this test?
I've done some paraphrasing.
I'll try to interpret the example.
When it comes to customer service.
What is it?
In customer service,
This company.
This company is the most.
In customer service,
What this company believes in.
It's not relying on it, it's relying on it.
Why? Because it's believable.
That's why the answer is the Rely app.
You have to distinguish this.
Oh, this is the class.
It's very important.
I don't know if I can say this.
I was in class yesterday.
It was a joint class.
It was yesterday.
I went to the whole body in the joint class.
I went out with this.
I told the students that I could definitely come out.
Those of you who took the class yesterday will know.
I told you.
When you come out,
What's the first thing that comes to mind?
That's what comes out.
But what's more important than that?
Numbers after BYE.
Numbers.
Oh, this is a bit of an error.
If you look at the location, it's not numbers plus BYE.
It's BYE plus numbers.
So the important point is
If a number is followed by a number after BYE,
It's not blah blah, it's blah blah.
I'll memorize this example as it is.
I'll interpret it.
The sales figures.
It's important.
Why?
The sales figures.
This is once in September.
Is it September or October?
Is it August?
It came out once.
How?
Give me an empty space here.
And then you're here.
Figure, figures, figures.
As a compound noun, sales figures.
This is a sales figure.
You have to know this.
The sales figures.
The sales figure is declined.
By 15%.
In the last quarter.
What is it?
By 15% in the last quarter.
So what came out in this test?
Give me an empty space in this BYE position.
Take a picture of what's right.
BYE was the answer.
This wasn't that hard.
There's a point I want to point out.
Competes and Comparative.
Comparative is also a adjective that I put a lot of questions in my supplementary text.
It wasn't hard in the end.
What is a noun-noun?
That's what I'm asking.
So how did it come out in this test?
Our goal.
Our goal is to develop something.
The answer is Comparative because it's a noun-noun.
But you don't just have to know Comparative.
You have to know how to interpret it.
I can't mention the name of the company because it's a general review.
There's a company that's number one in Korean electronics.
That company is competing with any company in the United States or Europe.
So Comparative is competitive.
It's a feeling of not losing anywhere.
You have to know this.
I'll look at one more.
Before I explain this Comparative,
Comparative comes out a lot with this question.
The verb remains a lot.
The verb remains comes out and Comparative comes out a lot.
For example, this is what I'm saying.
A representative of a company.
We want to remain Comparative.
What is it?
We want to remain Comparative, competitive anywhere.
We want to remain Comparative.
Please know this.
I'll move on.
Before and whenever.
I didn't write this down.
If you want to explain it, you need to put in a grammar.
I'll just check the answer.
The answer was Before.
And I'll go into Part 6.
The difficulty of Part 6 is, as I said before,
I don't think this is an A.
It's a medium level, but it's not very difficult.
But this is what I want to explain.
Located, situated, based.
Why is this important?
I emphasized this a lot to the students I learned from.
I don't know if I can say this.
Do you like the movie Tazza?
I really like it.
Tazza knows what kind of problem it is just by looking at the cards.
I think people who are good at TOEIC are the same.
If you get this in the first place,
they're usually the right answer.
I don't really want to teach like this either.
But I'll tell you why this is the right answer.
What did you get in this test?
Located, located, locating.
It came out like this.
What is the point that this is the right answer?
Usually, the subject comes out and writes the blank space in the back.
But the verb is separate from the sentence.
There is a separate verb called Is.
You can add an adjective after the subject.
Take a picture.
Located at this time.
In other words, the starting point is often used as an adjective.
This is not a verb.
I wrote it wrong.
It's an adjective.
It's a PP adjective.
This is very important.
So you have to know where it's located, where it's situated, and where it's based.
And I'll go one more.
Actually, Locate is very important.
If you look at Located, you usually know where it is located.
But you have to know one more.
I think this is more than 900 points.
There's a movie I really like, Mission Impossible.
Tom Cruise is just walking around.
And there's a radio.
We need to find a bomb.
So we need to find a bomb.
What do you call it in English?
In general, we don't say we have to find.
We have to locate the bomb.
Locate itself is used a lot as if it's a find.
So instead of where it's located, Locate is used as if it's just a find.
I recommend you to know this.
Next one.
Secure.
This is a friend I always emphasize.
There are so many Secure.
What is the important point of Secure?
I'll just memorize this sentence.
Keep the objective secure.
The important point of Secure is that this friend has an adjective point as in this test.
But there's one more important point.
There's a verb point.
When Secure is an adjective, there's a feeling of safety.
It's a feeling of safety.
But what does this friend feel like a verb?
Secure is to get.
And there's a feeling of securing.
You have to know that.
So I'll memorize it.
Keep the objective secure.
If you look at an example,
Please ensure you.
Again.
Please ensure that.
You keep.
What are you doing safely?
The document.
Keep the document secure.
You have to know this point.
Let's look at the next one.
Resume.
This is very important.
In this test, I don't think it was that difficult.
Why is this word important?
There are two words.
So just like intermediate level,
Start again.
But I'll go a little more difficult than this.
If you look at the first verb,
Restart.
Resume is to restart.
It's to start again.
So when it's written as a verb,
The pronunciation is resume.
Resume.
Restart.
But what's behind is more important.
Start over.
You know start, right?
What does this mean?
Start over.
It's a feeling of starting again.
You have to memorize this.
It's a little TMI.
There's a song called Animals on Maroon 5.
What's in that song?
There's a song like this.
A man and a woman start over.
That's when you start over.
Second, resume. This is important.
Before I came to this academy,
There was a time when I prepared TOEIC.
But I got this question wrong a long time ago.
I'm not ashamed.
If I got it wrong a long time ago,
I'm not ashamed of what I got wrong a long time ago.
This resume is very important.
So when it's pronounced as a resume,
What is it then?
It's a resume.
Resume.
It comes out like this.
As a paraphrase,
Not a resume, but a curriculum vitae.
This is a resume.
But how did it come out in Part 7?
There's a protagonist.
The protagonist is looking at information about the academy.
But the information about the academy comes out.
A teacher, B teacher, C teacher.
These teachers are teaching.
The subjects came out later.
But what the protagonist wants is
I wanted to get information related to the curriculum vitae.
So most people
I found a resume in the back.
It wasn't there.
But even if you know this,
It wasn't easy to get the answer.
Why?
It's called CV.
You have to know this too.
I'll move on to the next one.
This is the last one.
This comes out a lot.
Actually, B2
It comes out a lot.
Actually, B2
When we learned English in high school,
B2, fate, schedule, etc.
There's nothing to know about that.
What do you need to know in TOEIC?
When you represent the future.
You can use two-vowels and B.
B2
When you represent the future.
You can use two-vowels and B.
If you think of this as a will,
It's very convenient.
Let's take a look at the example.
The highly anticipated movie.
It's to be released.
Don't interpret it as a body.
If you look at it in the future,
It will be released.
Next month.
The answer is B2.
There was no big difference from the general exam.
The main purpose is always 5 to 9 questions.
There are 7 questions this time as well.
There are 2 questions.
What can be concluded?
What is suggested?
What is implied?
What is most likely?
It doesn't seem like an inference problem.
But when I interpreted it,
What can be concluded?
So in the end,
It's similar to the inference problem.
So what keyword?
There was a question like this in the third question later.
And this time,
There were only two questions.
Even difficulty
It was a word that you would have encountered often while studying TOEIC.
And there are two purposes,
Two sentences,
Let's look at the consent statement first.
First, the word regarding.
If you've been studying part 5 and 7 a little hard,
As soon as you see it, you'll know that it's a whole noun.
But if you don't study the word regarding and just look at the word regarding in the question mark,
Did he use it as a verb in the sentence? Did he use it as a noun? Or did he use it as a noun?
Usually people think like this, and the idea that this is a whole noun may not come to mind.
However, if the word regarding appears in Part 7, it is almost 99% likely to be used as a whole noun.
Now, let's take a look at how many whole nouns are there in the meaning of ~~.
This is a very important point that you must know in Part 5 and Part 7, so you need to focus right now.
First of all, there is a word called about.
However, the words on and over are also about ~~.
So, negotiation over the merger comes out like this.
Discussion on global warming
On and over are also used very often in the sense of ~~.
Then there is a word called regarding and concerning that we just met in the agreement question.
As I mentioned earlier, when you look at these two words in Part 7, you should always think that it is a whole noun.
Next, let's talk about the words that are slightly difficult.
The word as to and as for will come out quite often.
This is just a whole ~~.
Next, this can be a little difficult.
You can use in or with, and the words are respect, regard, reference, and you can use any of these three.
And then it goes to two in the back.
This is just a whole ~~.
In respect to, in regard to, in reference to, or with respect to, with regard to, you can combine like this.
This is all about ~~.
And I'll use one more thing.
When it comes to, this is just a long lump, but this is also used as a whole when you say this about ~~.
When it comes to the price, it's a nuance like this.
So, all these words are interpreted like about.
And especially when we say 독해, these friends are all 전치사.
So, if you knew this, the 동의어 problem would have been too easy, and if you didn't, you might have thought, what is this?
Next, the word occupy came out.
Occupy means like this.
It means to occupy a space, to occupy a space, and to occupy time.
Usually it can come out in two meanings.
If you look at the together, fill the space of, it means to fill a space.
In terms of space, it's going to be number one.
If you say keep busy, it means time is busy because of ~~.
So it will look like this.
Then we should look at what kind of sentence it is.
If you interpret the above two sentences,
My restaurant occupies an entire block.
내 식당은 이 한 블럭 전체를 차지하고 있어.
My office occupies three floors in this building.
내 사무실은 이 건물의 3층, 3개의 층을 차지하고 있어.
So these two are talking about space.
It occupies this much space, this much floor.
But in the second case, this game will definitely take your time.
너의 시간을 쓸 거야.
So if you look at this time story,
keep busy can be the answer.
If you talk about real estate, land, or buildings like this,
It's a space story, so fill the space of would be the answer.
In this test, it was a space story.
Like a flat number.
So you have to choose space as the answer.
Now, there were only two questions in this video.
I'll finish here and move on to the intention problem.
It's a little easier to understand this time.
First, got it.
It's a very simple sentence.
It would be the same even if you say understood.
알겠어요? 알았습니다.
I understand it well now.
So if we have an intention problem,
You have to catch what this sentence itself means.
And then you have to look at what the context says.
In today's case, it was a nuance that I understood what you asked for.
I wrote a script.
Let's read what the scenario is.
Marian is chatting to Robert like this.
I read your article.
There is small edit.
I would like you to make.
I think.
나는 생각해.
이만큼을 생각해.
이 절이 명사자, 동사의 목적어 역할을 하고 있어요.
나는 첫 번째 단락이 백그라운드에 대해서,
어떤 그 배경스토리에 대해서 너무 많은 정보를 담고 있다고 생각해.
Can you cut?
길이를 줄이다 할 때도 cut을 쓸 수가 있거든요.
Reduce랑 같은 의미라고 보시면 돼요.
한 800자 정도의 길이로 줄여줄 수 있어요?
이렇게 줄여줄 수 있겠나요? 요청을 한 거죠.
Robert got it.
자, 그 다음은 또 find me.
Hey guys, I'm about to order dinner.
She was born and raised there.
