Flees in MOM'S car, she already gave you up, DEMETRIUS GRIGSBY - #arkansasstatepolice #pursuit
Trooper's Report (edited):
I observed a gold Nissan Maxima with defective brake lights and defective plate light. A registration checked showed the insurance information to be unconfirmed. I initiated a traffic stop on I-30 W after the I-530 N entrance.
I observed a young black male driver. I was on the passenger side and shined my flashlight at him. He then put the car in drive and began to flee.
The vehicle drove over several curbs which caused the vehicle to bottom out. It eventually jumped the curb at Chicot and Azalea. The driver then left the vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area.
Inside the vehicle a black Glock 23 handgun was located on the floorboard. This gun was found to have a metal switch on the back slide. The purpose of this switch was to turn the handgun into a fully automatic weapon.
There were multiple pill bottles in the vehicle with the name DEMETRIUS GRIGSBY. I asked the owner of the vehicle about it and she stated, her son, DEMETRIUS GRIGSBY, drives it. I was able to positively ID DEMETRIUS GRIGSBY from his DL photo.
