北加電費或漲 PG&E缺資金埋設電線防野火

不過，委員會還沒有透露漲幅，預計會低於電力公司PG&E最初的要求。
此前，這家公司曾要求大幅提高電費以增加26%的營收，用於埋藏2100英里的電線，預防發生火災。
儘管埋設電線耗時且成本高昂，但公司堅稱這是防止強風吹斷電線引發火災的最佳方案。
代表消費者的組織「公共事業改革關係網」（The Utility Reform Network）則認為將電線絕緣才是更有效的方法，並表示委員會的其中一項提案將促使每戶人家在2026年以前每月多支付28美元電費，而另一項提案將增加24美元。
預計兩項提案將在11月2日的會議上接受審議。

The California Public Employment Commission proposed two proposals on Wednesday,
which is likely to lead to an increase in electricity costs for 16 million people in Northern California.

the Public Employment Reform Network believes that

for each household before 2026,
and the other proposal will increase by $24.
It is expected that the two proposals will be reviewed at a meeting on November 2.
