Review: Cub Cadet RZT 50 Mulching Attachment Install

Welcome back tightwads. It's been a while, but I've been working on some other things and I wanted to come back to you I have a new mower. It's the cub cadet RZT 50-inch deck It has the Kohler courage 22 horsepower engine I've had it for a few months, but it's been winter time as you can see the grass is brown a Little bit of green spots here and there, but the frost has got it pretty good So I haven't been using it much. I haven't had any Major maintenance other than replacing a fuse on it, but I did order The mulching attachment I have the bagger with this unit, but don't really love it. It's okay gets clogged up Fairly easily I may be hooking it up wrong I'll tinker with it a little bit more in the spring, but I prefer to mulch anyway So I bought the mulching attachment and we're gonna unbox it and see how to set it up I'm also using a new Joby or jobby mount that I bought for my phone, so we'll see how it works. I looked around online at prices and The best price I found was that in Messick's MEC or sorry me SS ICK apostrophe s Had the best price on it. It was 3735 and then shipping was another 695 on top of that and it came within two or three days They ship same day or next day depending on what time you order and their website actually tells you what day it's going to ship So it looks like it just really just slides in it's got some tabs on the bottom here and I assume those Hook down inside the deck somehow, so we'll take a look Said I've never used this before Looks like this actually goes in the top part because I can see two grooves right here so it simply slides in and Already rigged up little hooks for this just because the doors to get into my House, I have a double door, but it barely fits. So I rigged up that to hold up the sheet while I pull it inside the house So once I have this flip down The plastic piece here goes over the tabs here. I'll bring in a little bit closer So you can see it's held by You can see it's held by these two tabs here and here that fit under this lip and holds it in place pretty simple the other mulching attachment I had had a rubber strap that hooked to the deck itself, but so it looks Can't even tell that it's on there except for the shoots a little bit higher But I'm gonna take it out for a spin today and see how well it works As you can see the mulching attachment is picking up the leaves Pretty cleanly and mulching them up. It's I'm not throwing them out to the side because the chutes blocked So it does a good job on Pretty fair amount of leaves in my yard. I do like this mulching attachment so far I've now cut a couple of times cut grass a couple of times with it and it does a great job I don't get a trail of grass along the right side like you do with some mulching guards So that could be a testament to the blades or the deck set up on this on this Cub Cadet RTZ But I highly recommend Purchasing it if you do own this mower If you found this video helpful, give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel I'll be posting more videos about the Cub Cadet RTZ in the future as I run into issues with it I do have lots of videos on the MTD gold Mower that I had previously.
